Elevator broken down for a whole week Lighting in stairs only working on the top floor. On the plus side during check in the attendant was overwhelmed with 5 pounds waiting to get checked in and she did a wonderful job with it and never got frustrated She should be getting a good grade for her efforts

It was horrible. Elevator not working. My husband had a massive heart attack 3 weeks prior. He could not carry our large suitcase up 3 flights of stairs and the hotel clerk (small woman), had to do it. Badly stained coverlet. Dirty qtip on floor. Phone in room not working etc

For the most part the hotel inside was clean but the outside needs some upkeep, for example mow the grass, pick up the garbage and maybe put a lock on the dumpster to keep people out of it.

We stayed at Motel 6 twice this year. It is in a good location. The parking lot seemed very safe. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff welcoming and helpful. The rate is affordable and why we decided to book our stay.

I always check bed sheets/linens. To my surprise there was strands of hair on the pillow and bed linens. It appeared like it was not changed and just made the bed after someone else checked out. The pillow case and bed sheets smells like old sweat. There is a no smoking sign on all rooms but smells cigarette smoke at the hallway. On top of that, you can hear the conversation of your neighbours next door. Never again.

The check in was fast. The elevator and common areas weren't clean. Our room was ok. The blanket had some stains but the sheets were relatively clean. The bathtub wouldn't drain. We had to ask the front desk for a plunger. Hotel at night was relatively quiet.You get what you pay for.

Found this property poorly maintained and dirty. Carpet in rooms filthy dirty. Smoke detector missing in room( safety issue). No cups or other utensils in room. Stayed three nights and all that was done to the room was a new roll of toilet paper supplied when we asked. Cigarette burns in bedding and curtains. Sheets and towels were clean but threadbare. Management does not care about this hotel. They have let it run down.Worst place we have ever stayed and I have hoteled for work for years. Would not recommend at all.

This was an ok place to stay for the weekend. Unfortunately, I bought a single queen room but, when I arrived, they said they only had a room with 2 double beds, which is odd because I’d literally made the booking that day. If queen rooms were sold out, why were they marked available? I’d have booked elsewhere if all they had available was double beds. The beds were very firm and not super comfortable. Overall, the premises is dated, and I wish I’d known ahead of time that queen rooms were sold out. If you don’t care and don’t mind that the cleaning doesn’t seem super thorough (there was a weird crusty drip of something brown on the bathroom counter that was there when I stepped into the room, and stayed where it was all weekend… I wasn’t going to touch it…) then it’s a fine place to stay for cheap but there’s better value and service elsewhere.

Poor heating system - turned the heat up but the vent is high up on the wall. Room stayed cool and became real cold at 4 a.m. Complimentary coffee was really strong and old at 9:00 a.m. Economical and adequate but not if room temperature is intolerable.

So I’m not sure when the smoking laws went into effect or even who still smokes ! Maybe people who hide out at motel 6 Red Deer .. it smells like heavy heavy smoking, the carpets had cigarette burns the tub had cigarette burns the one blanket on the bed had cigarette burns . Then the noise from supped up diesels and stunting cars will serenade you to sleep ..

The air conditioning system was broken and in talking to other customers we were not the only ones in that situation. We opened the window and it was fine for awhile but there was no screen and the mosquitoes came in. By that time it was midnight and we were in bed so didn’t call the front desk to move

It was convenient. Close to amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful The room was clean, but there was no safety latch on the outside door. There was no screen on the window, the air conditioner/thermostat was very difficult to control (the buttons had to be pushed VERY hard to work. There were stains on the bedding, and the carpets were worn/stained. The mattress was horribly uncomfortable, woke with a pinched nerve because of it. We had a floor close to the front desk, and could hear lots from lobby. Ultimately, we got what we paid for. Convenience. I have been in much worse, but in the vein of honesty, this place needs some TLC. Thank you for the "breakfast" of cold cereal and yogurt/coffee/juices. It was not advertised so was a nice gesture.

We had to wait 15 minutes for a staff member to check us in. They also gave us a room that was dead bolted at first. After checking with the front desk they said they forgot “something was going on with that room.” Overall very disappointing staff and service but the rooms are fine if you just want to sleep.

When checking in I had to wait 30 minutes with 8 other people in the lobby. Then my room wouldn’t lock and even after showing the guy he did nothing. The next morning I did talk to someone different and she switched me rooms. Thanks. The next day was checkout and my husband broke down and I asked for a late check out which I got but come the time to checkout my husband still couldn’t get to us. No help from the motel and I’m sitting outside with 2 kids and 8 bags hoping my husband gets here soon. I would have paid extra to have the room longer.

Don't stay here. Despite having paid in advance when I booked the room on Expedia, I was charged again on check in. Although we're in the 21st century, they keep a handwritten piece of paper with names of people who have prepaid, and my name wasn't on there. I spent 20 minutes on a chat with Expedia to resolve this, and the clerk finally agreed to refund me. Back to my room, only to learn my key had been disabled. The room was old, a bug floated in the toilet, and it was cold. That's because the temperature was fixed at 16.5 C and they have disabled the ability to change this via the thermostat. If you are cold, you will remain so. If you're not, you soon will be. Everything is a bit goofy: the light switch closest to my bed controls the light over the other bed, and vice versa. Plugs are difficult to access. The toilet is broken such that is refills itself non stop. Eventually, you're brain will tune out the sound. There are several nearby hotels. Pick any one of them. Just don't pick this one.

Cheap rates and the staff is pleasant but doesn't really seem "on the ball". Had to switch rooms due to dead bugs in the bathroom. I think this is in a sketchy part of town so be careful.

This location use to have a light but free breakfast for many years but no longer provides this service. I was a little disappointed but there are many restaurants near by. It was also a little annoying that the damage deposit was not a single deposit but a separate $150 deposit for each night or stay. I have never encountered this before.

My daughter was nervous with some men who were hanging around outside. There were burn holes in the shower curtain and some sort of glue/sticky matter on bed cover - these were promptly replaced by the very nice lady at the desk. Breakfast items were minimal. I really wish that there was a coffee machine and water glasses in the room.
