Room only set up for 1-2 day stay only. We were here for 6 days. No drawer space for clothes. Recently remodeled. They put a cabinet that holds a microwave and refrigerator but then they randomly don’t put a refrigerator in all of them. Pretty dumb if you ask me. We made it work. Nice laundry area for travelers. Drive down to the Beach area west of the motel that is pretty awesome too.

most importantly the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly even with a late night check in. The location is easy to get to, ample parking and felt safe. The price was good.

the walls are thin we heard a child crying and playing around til almost midnite. which we didnt get enough sleep. the pool was too cold, it would of been nice to have it heated. good thing was close to hiking and beach. staff was nice.

We travel with our dogs often and when we do we like to use motel 6. Been to quite a few in the western US and this one was by far top 5. Clean, nice staff, quiet and they even accommodated our lower level request. Would recommend. Also, park right across the parking lot was a plus with our pups!

Very basic room despite signs of poor renovations. Unclean with remains of hairs from previous guests on the floor. Hairs were also present on towels. A very uncomfortable bed, would have been better sleeping in the car. The advertised pool was unheated and very cold in October. Certainly not worth over $100 for a nights stay

Sheets had stains so it felt dirty. Took my dog out at 6am it was pitch black as no outside lights worked so that was a safety concern. Door had to slammed just to have shut all the way.

Room was relatively clean (peanut shell from last guest? Mildew on the shower curtain), but there were a lot of bugs coming in the room. They all died, or were dying, so they must spray, but there was a constant influx of ants, wood lice, spiders, and one millipede (all pretty harmless). It got worse after it rained. Air conditioner cooled, but not as cool as I wanted. There was no fridge like advertised, and it would have been nice if there was an in room coffee maker, clock and maybe an iron (especially since you only get two hangers). Room was very small, but it was cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. Walls and ceiling are very thin, so you hear everything next door, above you, and outside, so I didn't get much sleep. All in all, probably a good place for an overnight stay, or a couple days, but unfortunately I was staying for a week, so it was less suited for my needs. Also, might be worth noting, they don't have "Do Not Disturb" signs, so I asked for no service during my stay, but a maid came to my room, anyway, so I had to make my own "Do Not Disturb" sign.

I have never stayed in a motel 6 but this weekend was all sold out here in Morro Bay. I was shocking surprised. I didn't expect much but they just remodeled the inside and they are up to par. Extremely clean and everything is new. Staff is exceptionally nice. Very happy with my experience.

This location is close to the beach. The town of Morro Bay is very charming and the weather is wonderful. This location is probably the worst place I've ever stayed. My room was filthy. I found a roach in my washcloth, the sheets looked like they hadn't been washed, there were black hairs in the bathtub and on the floor, the floors were nasty. I have stayed at other Motel 6 properties and they were great...very clean and well-kept. This place was really, really awful. The front desk clerk acted annoyed that he had to check me in. Terrible place. Won't be back.

There was orange and red stains all over one bed and the window was covered in a red stain that looked like blood and we couldn’t pull open the blinds they were stuck. But the bed stains were concerning and looked very dirty.

Had to have management help, tiny room with 2 doubles, no closet or any sort of rack to hang my clothes, no dresser and not even a stand to place my suitcase. Asked for extra pillow was difficult for motel to accommodate. No frills, cheaply managed with paper thin toilet paper, only one towel and no shower toiletries.

The location was great. The rooms were uncomfortably small. We had a 3 night stay, and no housekeeping came the whole time. Our key card stopped working repeatedly after 1-2 uses and we had to get new ones. The staff were helpful.

Location was great to be close to the beach. Staff was nice other than the lady who checked us in.. bed was small i booked a queen but i think we were on a full size. Showers kinda small. No fridge or microwave which was a little inconvenient but it was overall a good trip it was fine for what we could afford but my fiance and i wont be booking there again just becase of gow small the bed was and the fact that there was no fridge.

Didn’t realize no shampoo and toiletries or blow dryer would not be provided. Or Kleenex. So that was a surprise! But it was clean and beds were good. Also no refrigerator. Now we know.

Went here for a family trip but was disappointed in the service, room conditions (our room smelled like pot) and just the overall experience. Definitely would NOT be taking my kids around this establishment again. Also, anytime we asked for assistance or had a question they would answer as if we were a “bother”

Reservation was for book now, pay when you are there. Once i arrived the receptionist told me room had been canceled, although i had never received a phone call,text, or even an email.. terrible experience after driving 200 miles. Receptionist lied about calling multiple times, stating she couldn't even leave a voicemail so i asked her to dail number on file and she did call went through i forwarded the call in front of her and listened to my voice greeting on her phone proving she could have at least left a voice mail.. over all TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Property was clean, safe, and scenic, but it's right aside a park where it can get very loud into the late hours with little league baseball games happening right outside your door/window. No one was manning the counter in the morning for a long while during check-out, fairly inconvenient.

When I arrived for my stay July 6-8, I arrived a little early to check in. I already know if you want to check in early you get charge $20 extra. I walked in to the office there was a lady with long hair and glasses. I said I had a reservation for ..... She rolled her eyes at me and said with a very unpleasant voice checking in early is $20.00 extra. I said ok. She rolled her eyes again and checked me in and gave me my keys and said your room is in the back. Other then the staff the stay was ok.

We went to Moro Bay for my son’s wedding. All the other places were priced so HIGH. I was concerned about it being Motel 6 because we haven’t had much success with clean rooms on this 5 day trip. BUT this room was immaculate. Once again the hotel.com didn’t reserve the correct room. I had changed it from 1 bed to 2 bed over 10 days prior and received an email acknowledgment of change and new charge. This was NOT made in the hotels system. So the hotel staff accommodated us well.
We went to Moro Bay for my son’s wedding. All the other places were priced so HIGH. I was concerned about it being Motel 6 because we haven’t had much success with clean rooms on this 5 day trip. BUT this room was immaculate. Once again the hotel.com didn’t reserve the correct room. This hotel manager and receptionists were extremely disrespectful to my entire family. The manager was extremely rude behaving like a ba*tard to defend his bi*ch. When we checked in, we found human hair everywhere in the room (including on the bed sheets). Upon reporting that, the receptionist was very rude and gave another set of bed sheets with lots of argument. The sheet that she provided had also human hair everywhere. When we took it back, she and the cruel manager started shouting at us and started threatening. We had to check out in the middle of night. If you have minimum amount of self respect or care about cleanliness at all, please avoid this property. We lived at the next door motel Morro Shores Inn and they were really nice people, and treated us with respect with a new booking in the middle of night.

You technically get what you pay for , towels were dirty or had stains on them , no fridge or microwave, it’s a motel 6, pictures are accurate and it looks very nice and updated, the area is right next to a park so if you’re not in the front like i was i’m assuming it’s loud, thin walls can hear other rooms sometimes , it’s nice, they give you free deodorant and water bottles but it makes sense of what kind of condition it’s in at the area it’s at .

Property was clean, safe, and scenic, but it's right aside a park where it can get very loud into the late hours with little league baseball games happening right outside your door/window. No one was manning the counter in the morning for a long while during check-out, fairly inconvenient.

This property has been updated and has hard floors, seemingly fresh paint, updated fixtures and is close to beach acess. The linens were fresh and since we didn't need full service after the first night, we were able to trade our used towels for fresh ones. They offer 2 tiny bars of soap but no shampoo or conditioner (not a big deal since there is a Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Albertsons and Rite Aide nearby). You do need to drive to Embarcadero St. where there are plenty of shops and restaurants but there is usually parking. If you have bikes, the hotel is near the bike path that leads you to the rock and Embarcadero. For a budget motel I would absolutely stay here again.

This is a basic motel, so there are no frills like coffee or a hot tub but the room was clean and quiet and they are very pet friendly and we will be happy to stay here again particularly for traveling with our fur buddies

After two nights, the mattress, way too soft, the pillows, hunks of foam, not comfortable and single ply toilet paper, almost invisible!! Coffee was available at the office in the morning only. It would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room.

Personale gentile e accogliente, la struttura appare come un tipico motel 6 ma decisamente più alto come standard! Apprezzato il servizio del caffè a disposizione degli ospiti al mattino, presso la reception. Vicino all'oceano e non troppo distante dalla zona molo e dal Morro Bay SP dove abbiamo visto moltissime Sea otters... Consigliato!

Vista l’ultima avventura in un MOTEL6 orrenda avevamo davvero paura, per fortuna un altro livello.. pulizia ok letto ok e clima funzionante, anche un discreto caffè offerto al mattino nella reception..peccato per la zona soggetta durante il nostro soggiorno a lavori nel vicinato con ruspe e camion.. ma a due passi dalla spiaggia e comodissimo in auto per raggiungere tutti i punti di interesse in pochissimo tempo! Da questo tipo di motel mi aspetterei però prezzi più vantaggiosi visti i servizi offerti

The bed seemed like it did not belong, making the room very small. The A/C did not keep it cool, and it made noise like it was on its last leg. I was disappointed to not find bath soap or shampoo. I had to door dash some. Maybe they do not come with it and I did not read fine print, not sure. But when you pay $250 a night for a place, 2 star hotel or not, you would think it would come with those. Every other hotel in Morro does including 2 star hotels. We stayed here over 25 years ago, bad experience. I said I would never stay again. But our friend told us about the renevations. So we thought we would try again. But sadly I will not stay again
