Casa Loma Panama City Beach - Beachfront

Everything was amazing. Beach views were great. Swimming pool was very clean and lots of seating. Room was cool and comfy. Just wish they had a elevator. And property was 100 % no smoking.

Excellent reasonably priced hotel. Free parking right at your door. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Close to restaurants and Pier Park

You must be able to walk stairs. I picked this location and did not realize it was stairs only. Traveling with two 90 year olds I may have made another choice. It was great for my husband and self.

Love this old school motel. All rooms have a gulf view. They are modernized with cute decor. Beachy vibes. No elevator. Salt water pool. Comfy beds. Will stay here again.

The property was nice. There were some definite modern updates to inside the rooms, with some stuff being a bit dated. All the facilities/amenities worked well. Every room being beachfront with a view and balcony/patio was awesome! Be warned that beach chairs/umbrellas are NOT free ($40 a day). Did not provide housekeeping during stay. Room was recently renovated and had new beds with USB night stand. Great mattress for a good night's sleep. If you get the ocean side you will not be disappointed! Beautiful view of the ocean and beach. The pool was clean and well taken care of. You can rent chairs and umbrella on the beach right in front of the hotel for $40. Overall the hotel was in great condition. This obviously is not a newer hotel but well taken care of older hotel that has had new room furnishings. A tip if you want a nice ocean view from your room, get level 3 or 4 as the lower floors are not high enough to the beach very well.

We stayed 4 nights and the place was clean and comfortable. Very good prices. No elevator, but it wasn’t a big issue with only 4 floors. Absolutely beautiful view.

Everything was perfect! Staff was very friendly, nice clean rooms, great view, big pool, and easy, very close access to the beach!

The beds felt like sleeping on a rock. Wifi and tv didn’t work ( the tv is linked to the bad wifi). Showers had mold build up in the handles drain had a weird red ring around it. It had been updated but it’s still an old building. Positive side was beach access.

The service was amazing and also the AC unit in the room. Aside from that it went from questionable to absolutely dirty. The toilet had pieces of feces stuck on the underside of the seat and on the actual toilet. I had to clean it with alcohol wipes so me and my wife could even use it. The tub had either hair or a piece of rusty wire stuck in the drain. I forgot to take pics of the toilet but I did of tub. Really bad experience, could not take a shower and barely use the toilet.

There were bugs everywhere, room was dirty ,the only thing this place has going for it is that its right on the beach. The staff was horrible and very rude. Please don't waste your money here. I wont ever come back here...gross.

There is a reason they don't post pictures of the actual bathroom and shower besides the handicapped one. It was horrific. Rust everywhere, dirty, small, no water pressure. There was trash in our shower, trash on the floor when we arrived. We had been there four days and no one came to clean our room. When i called the front desk, someone did come quickly but only brought towels. Our room was never cleaned the entire time we stayed.

The beach at Casa Loma is absolutely beautiful and this is truly a beachfront hotel. Despite the value and location, we don’t plan on returning due to lack of cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom. It was not only dirty, but had water damage to the ceiling, peeling paint, and I found a sharp sand spur in one of our clean towels.

I was there on Wednesday & Thursday of May 2023 so it was not prime time. I booked through Expedia and got a room on the first floor which I did not know at the time of booking, to see the entire ocean you need to be on the 2nd to 4th floor so I paid extra to be higher since a room was available, dont know how you would do that on the Expedia booking. There was no elevator so you have to carry your belongings up yourself. The view from the balcony was excellent and the beach was not crowded which was very nice. Unfortunatel, the room was more like a Motel 6 which is ok if all you want is a great view and good beach access. I smelled someone smoking on their balcony although I couldn't see anyone smoking near by, I think the design of the facility contributed to it. I was informed that they only do beds after 3 days so no bed service for me. They do empty 2 baskets and re-supply towels daily which was adequate. Had to request toilet paper at the front office which they had on hand. The floor in our room looked fine but your feet became black if you walked on it without shoes, don"t think it had ever been mopped and some sand was present. This hotel needs to be updated but is fine if all you want is a great view (2nd-4th floor) and a nice location on the beach. It is centrally located so there were plenty of restauants and services close by. Parking can be a problem during peak season I think.

All of the staff was friendly. Our room was clean. Beds were firmer than what we are used to. Balcony decent sized. Would def stay again.

Wonderful views. Very friendly staff. Only drawback was the building is a little dated. No tub in our room and kinda small bathroom. But other than that very nice. Beds were comfortable.

Great place to stay for a vacation. In a great spot on the beach, and all rooms face the ocean. We have stayed here muntiple times.

I liked the location of the property and that it is beach front. What I didn't like was how small the bathroom was and that the sink isn't in the bathroom.

Every room is oceanfront. It's nice to sit out on the balcony and watch and listen to the waves. You're right on the beach. Rooms have been renovated and it's hard to beat the price.

The WiFi was so poor

This was a great spot for beach time, the location was good for me, an older woman, because it was east of the craziness that PCB can be. The room was clean, and very nice, comfortable beds, however the A/C unit is very old and not at all functioning well to the point that the inn also had a dehumidifier in the room. I have one just like it in my camper, and they work, but there was so much moisture in the air in that room that I had to empty the tank twice in a one night stay and still it shut down due to being full in the middle of the night, forcing me to get up and empty it. It and the barely functioning A/C were also very loud. I am really hoping they can put some money into these A/C units because it is otherwise a great property. Because of the price and location and the balcony and beach, I'd stay again, but I don't think I could do more than a night or two. And this was in May. Definitely not going in July or August.

Got a room on the top floor which had an amazing view of the gulf. The room itself was clean and the staff was all very helpful. The 2 negatives I had are that the bed was very firm and I had a hard time getting comfortable. The other is that the shower/sink water temperature randomly changed back and forth from cold to burning hot so we were not able to utilize the shower

I’ve not been at a hotel in PCB where I see staff walking the property and checking to make sure things are in order like they did at this hotel. The staff were constantly cleaning outdoor areas and monitoring parking lot safety.

They had a really great view, and the staff was absolutely amazing. The things I didn’t like about this property was the fact that the beds had to been from the 90s along with the pillows. And even though they had shutters over the windows, they did not block out any light. I had a smoke detector go off in the middle of the night for no reason, but it’s not staffed after 11 PM. Also, you could be taking a shower in the middle of the shower. You’re either gonna get ice cold and then scalding hot. There weren’t any actual blankets on the bed but you have to keep the room below 70°. My first room they gave me had a lot of cosmetic messed up areas in the front door wouldn’t even bolt so I went down to ask for a new room and she said they would send maintenance up. This was right after I checked in. Maintenance was going to take the door off and fix it, but I then asked again for a new room and then they accommodated me.

Terrible hotel. I thought this might be a nice place to bring the family for a night based on some positive reviews. Could not have been more wrong. The place is a dump! Our room was humid (like 100% RH) and had black mold growing all over the place. The bathroom was nasty. Fit and finish was bad throughout. After 15 min, I knew I couldn't keep my family in this place. I very politely notified the front desk that we would be leaving due to the mold and asked for a refund. They said I would have to settle it with Hotels.com, who I booked through. After making multiple requests through Hotels.com, the Casa Loma Inn refused to provide a refund. Shout out to Hotels.com for providing me a refund anyways based on health reasons (mold is bad!). If you have even moderate expectations for your hotel stays, you will not be happy with this hotel! Very low standards and unfair business practices. Hotels.com should kick this one off the website.

The front desk agents were very friendly and we arrived early, but there we’re already rooms available & they let us check in early.

The young colored lady who works at the front had an attitude as soon as we got there. She was rude and impatient. If you don’t like interacting with people, maybe it’s the wrong job for you.

We had a great time the view from the balcony was great the staff was very nice and helpful our TV went out and they were very quick to get us a new one we will definitely stay at casa Loma again

The check-in experience was very fast and easy and the front desk employee was very nice and considerate. The maintenance employee was efficient when supplying us with an additional blow-up mattress. However the front desk employee at checkout refused to provide us with one towel for my son to dry off with when I told her he was in the shower and we were about to check out. I thought that was pretty rude.

The Hotel is located in a great area, direct access to the beach. The outside of the hotel is the perfect spot. The hotel could use an upgrade . Still has popcorn ceiling paint. We didn’t mind because we were out the whole time and used hotel for sleeping.very friendly staff and perfectly located away from all the main traffic. Beach spot a perfect 10z

Older hotel but loads of charm Being a older motel means you can not hear neighbors side by side nor above ... Decor was tastefully done and gave a newer look !!! Price point was spot on for a one nighter Right on beach which was fantastic Had loads of bar and restaurants close by to choose from

I like staying at Casa Loma as it is on the beach and does not cost a fortune. Of course, it does not have an elevator which is inconvenient, and it is close to where the back beach road and middle beach road intersect so it is noisy, but, for the price per night it is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are clean, the balcony is a good size to relax on, having the sink outside the bathroom area is a great plus, and the staff is great! It is also not far from Thomas Drive or Thomas Donuts, which is a plus in my book.
