Baymont by Wyndham Coon Rapids

Pool area was closed. The area was full of mattresses. Fire detector in room was removed leaving bare wires from the ceiling. Toilet was not secured to floor.

The pool was out of order when i looked in the door they had hundreds of old air units sitting around the pool no water in the pool rooms had dirty floors air units dont work mold on ceilings one room had bugs and clogged toilet first room had an old uint in the middle of our room floor water smelled funny i do not recommend at the price they have listed the price should be under 50 bucks

Old dirty hotel, old dirty sheets blankets smell of mold lack of towels no pool access which was shown on Website. Will not ever go back!!!!!

Their pool is Closed, because it is full of mattresses and they said oops.The website was supposed to say the pool was closed. Then we had to call the front Front desk from our own phones because they have no phones in the room. And they ended up ended up switching our rooms because the t v did not work

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Not sure where to even begin. The staff wasnt knowledgeable about the hotel itself, was told when we arrived the pool was being renevated and we had specifically picked this hotel for the pool, (after looking at past reviews the pool has been being "renovated" since AT LEAST Dec 2024) its very clearly just being used as a storage area as you can see under the blinds on the wibdows trying to hide the fact. The inside and outside of the building were filthy and disgusting. There are CLEARLY people living in the hotel that seem to think they own the place and literally take over. The breakfast was PATHETIC. Waffles.. maybe an apple or two and cereal thats almost empty. Theres a toaster and whn i asked about something to put in it the guy just shrugged at me and said theres a toaster there. The website claims they have all these great things, including omlettes made for you by an attendant. No sign of any such thing. Our room had a broken picture on the wall with a hufe chunk of glass missing from it. The tv didnt work and we had to have someone come in and it took him having to go get 3 different tvs then sitting there trying to set it up. And the only reason he even came to do it was brcause my dad was talking to him outside (he had told the manager but he hadnt said anything to anyone about it) Was just a horrible stay overall.

The hotel is currently under construction, which was not advertised. The pool and hot tub were closed due to construction, and the continental breakfast was subpar at best. The staff was nice, but it didn't make up for the fact that I was unable to use the pool or the hot tub and I still had to pay full price for the room.

Swimming under construction and closed! For breakfast juice machine out of order. None or cheap toiletries provided. Room carpet is damp. Disappointed with a lot.

The pool wasn't functional. No water in it even. No cable. She said she would come to the room twice and never showed up for the whole day and night. No phones in the room. Water in the tub didn't drain for several minutes. Not worth 170 a night thats for sure. Maybe 60 a night. The beds were comfortable and clean. That's the only thing that was.

Please have them remove the pool and hot tub off the description the pool has not been in service for a long time. The pool area is storage for mattresses and room furniture. When you filter pool for your desired hotels and you get there and there is no pool it is very disappointing

The first room we checked into had a bug on the bed and then we went to the front desk to get another room- when I showed the clerk the picture, she just said "yeah that's definitely a bed bug." I'm no expert myself but got a different room. Checked that bed over and it looked ok. However, sleeping in the bed was terrible. The mattress sunk way down in the middle. There was no sharing the bed with my husband, because we both sank to the middle. The pool is closed for good it seems. I wasn't there to swim but want to make others aware Also the elevator is not working. The buttons inside the elevator are broken so they cannot be pushed. I hope this hotel eventually can clean up and invest some money in fixing up their property.

Stains on the walls and floors. Smelt sour. And everything was falling apart.

The place was absolutely filthy. Will never go there again. Went to one before and it was very nice. That's why we booked this one. It is a dump. It smelled bad the minute we walked in. Floors were filthy. Overall...bad. We should have been refunded for our stay.

- Toilet base was ready to fall off the floor and leaking water all over the floor. Had to wear shoes in the bathroom or else your feet got wet. - Sink counter in bathroom was broken off the wall. - Bathroom sink was all stained with cigarette butts (non smoking room) - Room was not very clean

The room was not clean, the mirror had handprints on it, we found someone’s shoe under the dresser, the fridge was not plugged in, the room smelled musty and damp

Check in was simple, didn’t expect much. One of the room keys didn’t work. Got into the room it looked ok at first- heat was not on so it was pretty cold in the room. Fridge and microwave were unplugged. Bathroom was hands down the worst part. Had one towel to use for after shower. And that towel had various stains from previous guests- why is it so hard to buy new towels? Other smaller towels were tearing and also had stains. I don’t believe that bathroom had been cleaned in a month. Didn’t have full roles of toilet paper, mirror was dirty, counter top had stains, and body hair, hair, hair all over the bathroom. DISGUSTING. I know you are paying for a room but come on. There was also some mold growing on the bottom of the shower curtain. Floor tiles were loose. Overall a negative experience, I don’t recommend this hotel and will not be scheduling anymore stays.

The book about the hotel and surrounding area etc. looked like someone spilled on it!! It was sticky and gross. We went down to the front desk and complained and the man behind the desk and the maintenance man were yelling at each other. He finally asked me what I needed and said he will be up to our room in a few minutes to check it out. We waited for 1hour and then went downstairs and checked out. I expect a full refund!!!

The place was disgusting there was hair on my bath towels and stunk. I will NEVER stay there again.

Place was dirty, no staff service, rooms weren't clean, lobby was extremely loud from other guests who seem to be partying. Lobby smelled like cigarettes.

Our room was very dirty/ stained bedding and unsanitary mattress. Two other families had to ask for different rooms due to the uncleanliness. Lamp did not work between the two beds so you couldn’t see well. Finally after 10 minutes my family and I ended up leaving because I couldn’t have my family stay in those conditions.

The hotel is very old. Stayed for 6 days and had no housekeeping service even when requested. Breakfast was poor with limited selection of cereal, white toast and stale bagels. Smelled pot smoke in the halls. Common areas were dirty.

The bed has a horrible dip in the center...very uncomfortable. The bathtub is dirty.

The water pressure in the shower was excellent, as was the bed. The carpeting was dirty, the room was so hot and stuffy, it was hard to sleep and the A/C didn't work so it couldn't be cooled. The swimming pool was shuttered. Breakfast consisted of Eggos under a warming light, apples and an assortment of bread. Very disappointing.

The room was not vacuumed, we found a Dime and a red licorice twizzler on the floor between the bed and nightstand; the window screen was torn (we were on the first floor) and the shades were about 6 inches too short and couldn’t block the light and view; lights, refrigerator and microwave were not plugged in; television remote needed complicated sequences to access the tv and we had to get a staff member to come show us how to work it as there were not printed instructions available; the bathroom floor was dirty, especially around the toilet; there was no ice bucket in our room and the ice machine was not working anyway. On the positive side: the staff was congenial and helpful, finding an ice bucket for us and filling it from a bag of ice they had available, helping with the tv remote. Also the mattresses were very comfortable.

The large bathroom counter and shower were nice. Bed was comfortable. Didn't like: The microwave oven had to be moved to the desk/table to reach the electrical outlet. The internet and cable TV were spotty. Breakfast offerings were terrible except for the cosmic crisp apples.

The staff was never actually behind the counter and among All this - when we brought these to their attention the staff shrugged and did Not care. We asked for some compensation and were Told no - we could call a manager if we wanted to complain. Would not stay again.

Liked: friendly staff. Didn't like: room condition: four-drawer dresser had one drawer that worked, one that didn't and missing. Shower bar broken. Bed frame extended so could easily bump ankle on it. Pool closed,, no water. Breakfast very poor, two kinds of cereal, bagels, bread, apples, coffee and juice; nothing else. No protein items.

Service was quick and easy to get in. Room was broken. Curtain falling off. Bathroom door with what looks like a knife stab. Outlet broken. AC vent had debris inside it. Bed was clean and comfy.

The check in process took almost 45 min. We showed the front desk clerk our reservation and that it is paid for. The front desk clerk said we could not check into our room because Expedia was not accepting the hotels charge amount. We said that is between you and Expedia can we have our room key. The front desk clerk said no and insisted that we wait until the matter was resolved.

It’s the only hotel we tend to stay at not because it’s spotless or quiet but because the people there are absolutely amazing and humble. Always a relaxing and friendly experience

Ucpon check in after I've already paid for the room on Hotels.com the desk clerk asks for the same CC I used to book. I handed him the card and he begins to start typing my CC number in his system. I was and am concerned that my CC has been compromised. He said my card was declined. I have over $10k in this account. I showed him the balance. He allowed me into a room and after a bit I went to vending and used the same card and it went through just fine. He then comes to my room telling me my card was declined again. This card is perfectly fine and he started to argue with me. He finally walked away when I said I'm going to bed. this is. to so bad other than the fact he was typing my CC# into his computer and I asked myself if he was actually typing it into the hotel system. He also made a copy of my CC. I travel extensively and never have I ever had a hotel do such a thing. I am disputing the charges.

The staff are great!

The hotel was absolutely terrible. The front desk tried to trick us into paying for a prepaid stay saying they weren’t paid by hotels.com. The room was terrible tried multiple rooms each one dirty, broken furniture and lamps, non working toilets. Decided to just leave and stay somewhere else. Do not stay here. Just had to eat the prepaid stay cost, but better than staying at this joke of a property.

Staff was friendly, personable, and very helpful!

Large “ gatherings “ in the parking lot ., loud and music playing until 2am on a weekday “ work day “

Our actual reservation wasn't available. The heat was not on so room was freezing cold with temps outside in single digets and there was a huge freezing draft under the unit. Floor needed to be vacuumed. Shower was very good though. Front desk late night checked in person was awesome. Parking lot had not bee plowed, probably all winter. Parking was thin. Breakfast was very slim.

When I arrived it looked like a refuge camp. There were people outside cooking on grills and makeshift tables everywhere. I asked the front desk clerk if this was safe and he laughed and said yes. Our room was full of stains from the walls with poop and the furniture had different stain colors. The next morning the crowds of people were yelling in the lobby with no regard of anyone else and the counter people just ignored it or were included in the load conversations of whatever language it was. That night we had to go in a side door because they blocked the front entrance. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!!!

Seemed like a safe neighborhood, but the bathroom wasn’t cleaned, only one garbage provided, the console had drawers screwed shut as they were broken. Seemed to need a lot of little maintenance things. Pool was out of order as well.

We needed last minute accommodations while out of town and ended up booking this hotel through the app. I paid for four nights, which was non-refundable, but had that not been the case, I would have left as soon as I pulled in. The parking lot was a constant hang out for groups of smokers, and at night I did not feel safe walking from my car to the building. I suspect they allow short-term living as they all seemed to know each other, and by how they interacted. There was a police officer looking at video footage at the front desk which made us uncomfortable. It smelled “skunky” by the elevator every time we came in and out. Our room was outdated and old, and absolutely not even remotely cleaned. I had to take photos. Ceiling vent in the bathroom was caked with brown dust. The sheets on one bed had huge stains on the end of the bed, both sides. Worst of all, the shower curtain had a bunch of dark stains that looked like squirt marks, some of which still had substance residue on them. There’s no way housekeepers could have missed seeing that on a white shower curtain. It made my daughters paranoid to get in the shower. To be fair, the front staff was genuinely kind and helpful. For example, we needed to extend for a fifth night, requested additional pillows etc, and they were right on it. I still cannot believe the rates I paid for the quality of our room. I’m almost hesitant to book on the app again if it’s non-refundable after what we experienced.

The check-in was fine, except we had to wait for a room. Worked out okay since we were hungry and needed to eat. Property could have been cleaner, but seems to be pretty busy and it could be attributed to the amount of traffic. Tub needed to be resurfaced or replaced. Really wanted a shower but didn't want to step in it. :-/ Restaurants nearby, as well as a well-stocked convenience store. The thing that turned us off and made us want to drive away was a guest stumbling a bit near the entry, wearing PJ bottoms. Other guests sat cross-legged at the entry, smoking. Smoking area needs to be further away so as not to affect non-smoking guests arriving. Just looked bad.

Sketchy area look like people live there smell of Marijuana reeked in elevator. Hair in skin upon arrival needs updated but. Trash on ground outside, trash cans over flowing. grass not cut nothing looked like pictures online. Uncomfortable beds. Didnt stay long enough to need service so no comment there slept and promtly left early as we could the next morning never to return here

The staff were very friendly, but the hotel itself is in a state of disarray. Lots of poor "repairs," very dirty- there was a ring of grime in the bathtub and dried pee on the toilet seat, the toilet seat was extremely loose as if someone had barely thrown it on and didn't have time to screw it tighter before the next person came in. Trim between bathroom and main room was sticking up a half inch off the floor and I kept inadvertently tripping over it. Hairdryer in room didn't work. The pool sign indicated it was closed, but people were still allowed to swim. Forget about the hot tub. The only warm food item for breakfast was bread and bagels you could toast. Overall breakfast selection is pretty sad, so don't choose this place if you prefer to have the breakfast included. It's a suitable place if you aren't looking for any amenities and just need a place to crash for a night.

Not very clean. Rooms could use updating. The so called breakfast was terrible. Plain bagels and bread.

Booked this place because it was convenient and had a pool for my kids. When we got there the pool was closed indefinitely. Our room was not vacuumed and only had 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels for a double queen. No wash cloths or a bath mat. Curtains would not close all the way. Everything was dated and in rough shape. No housekeeping came to our room while we were gone to refresh towels or change garbages. Breakfast was an absolute joke, frozen waffles that were sitting in a pan under a heat lamp, bagels were stale, and a hodgepodge of different cereals mixed together. Juice machine did not work. For what we got, this place was way overpriced. I did not feel safe asking for a refund or even to have the issues addressed. I checked out early and will never go back.

Room needed quite a bit of repairs, pool couldn't be used because it was being used as a storage area, even the poolwas full of water. Breakfast was toast, coffee, Cheerios and old apples.

The hotel has been repaired over the years but not updated. Everything worked and the beds were comfortable but the general condition of the room was far below our expectations for a Baymont by Wyndham. Breakfast options were extremely limited. Hot foods were toaster items. We were disappointed. G

The property is not living up to its potential. The facilities are not in great condition. Everything needs a thorough cleaning. I had maintenance issues with a TV that didn't work and a broken toilet seat. Neither issue was resolved. The breakfast bar was not fully stocked on a busy Saturday morning. Overall, this was not a great property for the money you pay.
