Motel 6-Normal, IL - Bloomington Area

Bedding was gross. Room was so so. Don’t know when it was remodeled but they removed the carpet and installed laminate flooring. Left more than a one inch gap under the room door. Heard every conversation and screams in the hall. Can’t expect much for $60.

First clue-hotel receptionist sits behind security glass. Stains on the walls, poorly patched holes in the walls and doors. Sheets were stained, paper thin blanket. We slept in our clothes on top of the bed. Look elsewhere.

I made the reservation for Motel 6 in north Normal, IL online and no where did it indicate this was a smoking room. We checked in around 3:30 but did not go in the room. When we went into the room at midnight it was terrible. It stunk like cigarettes and moldy air. There was hair on the bathroom floor. Several outlets didn't work. The TV did not turn on. The smoke detector was painted over. There were cigarette burn holes in the bed cover. It looked like tiny blood stains on the sheets. Terrible. We did not stay in the room. When we returned in the am to request a refund we were denied by "Andy" (not his real name). He said it was our fault to book a smoking room, but did not care about the other problems. We want all of our money back.

Loud guests screaming / cursing fighting. Kids yelling and screaming running up and down hallway. Called front desk and they couldnt understand what I was saying. They finally understood but did nothing. Wouldn’t refund money so I actually left at like 9:30 pm. Couldn’t take it anymore. Would not go back and tell others to avoid.

Property was dirty, loud, and in poor consition.
