This is one of my favorite places to stay in the Twin Cities. The only downside during this stay is that there was absolutely no where to park over the weekend. So many cars! But otherwise, it's always a very nice stay. Great breakfast too.

8.8 rating must have been from 10 years ago. The place has been run through with traffic and it showed. Everything from broken ceramic tiles to stains everywhere. Clearly no one is deep cleaning any surface, ever. Our bathtub had what looked like brown streaks (you do the math) and when we asked the hotel staff to have it cleaned they said they would but no one came. I took the makeup remover and rubbed some of it off, but it couldn't work on the anti slip mat. We just wore sandals while in the shower. They had the window open, clearly trying to get rid of a smell in the room too. Everything in the room, hallways, elevator, and lobby had a level of grime on it that could be felt it was so strong. Holiday Inn really disappointed me.

Our experience was terrible. Staff was great. Rooms horrible first room microwave, coffee pot did not work. Room was dirty dust hung off head boards. We ask to change our Room which they did for us. Still not happy with cleanliness. Ear plugs left for construction noise outside. Not happy at all. Had to pay $4.00 for water. Suppose to stay two nights we left the next day to different hotel.

Booked this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights for our most recent trip to Bloomington. The front staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. The lobby area was beautiful and modern. However the downfall of our experience here was the in the lack of cleanliness of our room. I read through reviews prior to booking any hotel and came across one that showed soap bar boxes wedged in between the shower rods and the bath tub walls for this hotel. Hoping this was just a one off review, we booked anyway. Unfortunately we ended up getting that very same room. This room had very very dirty and stained carpets, unsure if this is due to just years of wear and tear or if the room wasn’t cleaned properly. Regardless, I feel that there’s no excuse for this. There was also some kind of stain smeared on the ceiling and the bath tub was quite dirty with some black marks dripping from the faucet. Our sheets also had dried blood or makeup stained on it. We’re not people who usually complain and since we were barely in our room throughout the trip, we didn’t mention it to the staff. We definitely wouldn’t book here again based solely on the lack of cleanliness.

There was no free breakfast due to having a restaurant on site which was disappointing. We were put in an adjoining room and it was terrible. The people next door were extremely loud, inappropriate and played loud music until 4 am. I asked if we could be moved and was told the hotel was sold out.

The hotel photos look much better than real life. AC units in room are loud and blow right on the person in the closest bed. Lights on the roof shine right into the room. The hotel is very dated, cosmetically remodeled. Not smart tvs. The hot tub was very dirty. Overall, the new furniture did not makeup for an old hotel. Very disappointed in overall appearrance. The first two staff members on duty were excellent. Third shift, not so much.

They put a lot on effort to impress with the lobby area but the rooms were lacking. At first glance the room was nice but upon close examination there were many things wrong. The curtains were dirty and full of holes, the carpet had stains all over, the sink was cracked, the fridge made a loud noise that was a cross between a hum and a whistle.

The stay itself was nice. However, the reservations were all mixed up. We ordered a suite and then later added a regular room - for a total of two rooms. However, the hotel instead CHANGED the reservation to only keep the second room. It took quite a while to figure it out but at least they were helpful and the hotel had an opening.

Everything was good EXCEPT I needed the shuttle service twice. First time, I sat and waited for over an hour at the airport because the reception did not tell the driver I was waiting. Second time, I needed to leave for the airport by a certain time but because I’m not a priority member, wasn’t put on a list and was treated as such. Had to take an expensive Uber when I chose the hotel for the shuttle service. Very disappointed! Every guest should have value

Awful. Employees smoking in the main doorway. TV only had a few channels which they claimed to be working on. No maid service. When asked about it they laughed then apologized. It happened again second day. Had to put garbage in hall to be taken and beg for clean towels. Hallways were in dire need of vacuum. Asked for a manager was told not available. A comment was made well you reserved through Expedia so not sure why they were rude and no cleaning was done in room or not. Do not waste your money here.

Hotel staff was the BEST ever. I have never had such great service in my travels. I highly recommend this hotel. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good. Common Areas in the hotel were awesome. Beds very comfy, bathroom a bit tight (separated from Sink area. No grab bars for getting in and out of tub. Will return for sure next year.

Staff was amazing! Everyone from the front desk, to the manager and to maintenance staff was super friendly and willing to help in any way possible! Hotel was very clean and up to date! Maintenance was present, and also could see staff making sure everything was clean! They had a fire pit to sit out at for the night time and the guy who was working the front desk came right out and got it started for us and made sure all the chairs were organized and no trash was in the area. Pool and spa were perfect size and area was super clean! Also used the fitness room which was also clean! Great experience all around!!

I am visually impaired and I felt that the staff was very understanding, hands on, and ready to help! I loved my stay here! The only thing I’d say that’s an inconvenience would be if you don’t drive, plan on catching a flight, or plan on going to the mall it’s a long distance to visit the cities. Overall though it’s a nice place.

The beds are comfy, and although the room wasn’t huge it was cozy to make our stay comfortable. Close to a lot of restaurants and the mall if you have a vehicle, parking was always great and free! The breakfast was delicious and was nice to eat in the beautiful dinning hall. Definitely will be back for our next stay in Bloomington.

Clean room. Turn down daily. Spacious and comfortable. Didn’t like that the breakfast was not included- had to pay $8.99 for a voucher per person. And then hand it to the tenant. Had an issue with toilet not flushing and not being able to call down to front desk because there wasn’t service on the hotel phone. Overall the stay was great and would stay there again.

I have stayed in Holiday Inn Express locations in the past and was always satisfied. This location needs some work. I have never had to pay extra above the room price for the breakfast before either, so I took “That Business” elsewhere…As I wasn’t overly impressed by the looks of the food selection anyway.

Property is great. The extra cost for breakfast was ridiculous because it’s nothing special - it’s the same breakfast foods you get anywhere else (Marriott, Hilton, etc.) and you don’t pay an extra fee for it. So the charge for it is such a money grab.

A few friends and I stayed here while in the area for a few activities. Your typical hotel. We expected a bit cleaner/ well maintained property for the price. It really does serve as a regular hotel, with nothing really standing out to make this place superior to other stays in the area for the same price. I would have given a higher review, but the cleaning crew knocked on our door 7:30 to potentially clean the room. That just seems too early to me. So if you stay here and don't want that early of a wake-up call, make sure you put your "do not disturb" sign on the door. The property is clean and in a good location. Nice amenities and the air conditioner works great (a key for me). I would stay here again for the very attractive price.

The room was clean, but had to call for housekeeping. I was staying for a week, so was kind of a bother to have to ask for more coffee, toilet paper, etc. I think if you are staying for more than a few days they should automatically give you more supplies. Bed was very comfortable.

Given the number of days I stayed here (10) I should have opted for a suite instead of a standard sized room. Granted since it was just me I managed, but it was still very cramped in there. Given how long I was staying there I would have preferred a full kitchen, but I managed somehow. Originally I looked at extended stay hotels in the area, but it ultimately came down to cost to me. I reserved my hotel room on hotels.com where I saved $250. When I arrived I was shocked to find out the difference between a Holiday Inn & an Express hotel. I was initially billed a $100 service fee for incidentials, but in reality this paid for breakfast every morning. Had I noticed the difference beforehand I would have reserved a room at the Express hotels instead. I'm not against paying for meals everyday, but I've always assumed they were included w/the room. Even at Express hotels they still have someone who makes eggs, sausages, bacon etc. & I'm sure those kitchens aren't that much bigger than the regular ones. While I appreciated this hotel had washer and dryers for guest to use one of the washers was broken the entire time I was there. Even with washing for one person it would have been nicer to be able to use to two washers to wash all of my clothes. While I tried using the gym I was disapponted how even on the coolest setting this room still felt super hot. In lieu of using this gym I went to Anytime Fitness.
