Our room was not entirely clean and had to be re-cleaned, forcing us to be out of our room for that duration of time. There was also not enough parking in the parking lot for all the cars, which was kind of frustrating to find out when coming back late at night and in the cold.

I loved my king size bed! My room has a nice little fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Shower was decent. Their hot tub was down, but sauna was up and running. Nice breakfast--jimmy dean sandwiches, waffles, yogurt, juice, toast, muffins, etc.

My partner and I thought the hotel inside and grounds were clean and organized. The room we stayed in was nice and the beds were comfortable. I would have liked to go into the hot tub at night when we returned from our day trips, however, hot tub was not in service.

The property is well maintained, flowers weeded, carpet clean and everything in the room worked well. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were helpful, especially helping us get a refund for the last day of the reservation when we left a day early.

Front desk guy didn't have any answers to any questions I had. The only vending machine wouldn't take any kind of payment. Tv didn’t work in the room. Blankets were paper thin. Cigarette burns all over. Dust everywhere! Feels like I should be paid to stay here not the other way around.

The bathroom floor had pubic hair in several areas and hair stuck to the walls. Even after we asked them to wash the floor, they didn’t wash the area under the sink (it wasn’t in a confined area). I dropped something between the night stand and the bed and when I went to pick it up, I accidentally picked up something that was unidentifiable. I couldn’t tell if it was part of a dog bone, or some food that was petrified. Will not stay there again.

We did not stay ..the room was dirty, there were used wash clothes in the room and the bed was unmade the front desk person even said ..." they must have had a squatter in the room." this did not make us feel safe with this hotel. We asked for a refund and were told we had to go through Hotels .com

Overall, you wouldn't mistake the property as brand-new. It obviously has seen some refits, some more targeted than others. That specifically said, whoever updated the actual hotel rooms, the guest rooms, did a great job. Ultimately, would I stay here again? Absolutely.

Good room, for the price it was clean and bed was comfortable. Fridge and microwave in the room. A lot of road noise and small rooms were my biggest drawbacks. Would stay again as the price was affordable.

Some of the rooms felt damp/wet because of the rainy season. It was rainy and foggy plus in the low 60’s and mid 50’s when we visited. So the rooms smelt musty and beds felt damp. Maybe some dehumidifiers throughout the building. We didn’t have to run air or heat at all. The inside temperature was good… Otherwise it was clean and modernized in the rooms. Good breakfast choices! They had typical breakfast options and some cool bonus items like Jimmy deans sandwiches and Jimmy deans sausage pancake rolls. Quiet building also! We stayed on the first floor close to the desk. Thank you for a good time otherwise :)

Was a nice moderate hotel with a comfortable room. When we arrived there was a smoky smell in the room but apparently it was from another room sharing the vents. By morning it was fine. Good breakfast. A ways from downtown and the port area but easy to get on highway for the 10 minutes to get to either place.

The bed was comfortable. The TV didn’t work. Unable to get any stations, except Shrek. When I asked the front desk about how to use the TV, the young lady informed me that it wasn’t a smart TV when in fact, I know it was. No reception and the two rooms that we rented however the TV in the dining area worked perfectly fine. The air conditioner didn’t work at first. I later discovered that it was the outlet that didn’t work. So I had to plug the air conditioner into an outlet on the lamp on the desk to get it to work. I don’t know how safe that was. One of the staff members was extremely rude to the one that was replacing her at the end of her shift. She said some pretty mean things and walked out the door. The young lady that replaced her handled it really well. She apologized for her actions. I think the price was too much for what we got.

I would stay here again when I go back up to Duluth, which is quite often as I am house hunting! It has all I need, nice staff, super comfortable bed and pillows, great shower/tub, big screen direct tv, the usual desk, fridge, etc., and cleaner than the last 3 star place I stayed at near the airport. Yes, it's noisy, because it's older, but there are also two fans, one in the bathroom, and one big one on the exterior wall, so that problem is solvable with some brains; the traffic outside is very minimal, the neighborhood is fine and the breakfast is great considering this is a Super 8 guys and they have nice Jimmy Dean hot breakfast sandwiches and lots of other great choices. I prefer fruit, yogurt, toast (fabulous bread), juice, 24/7: coffee & their tea selection is truly awesome.... hot cocoa, hot tub... forgot suit...next time. :) thanks!

We have stayed here many time before, this is the first time we have ever had an issue with staff. The young man checking us in did nothing but complain about his job and lack of hours. Very unprofessional behavior. A person should never talk about their own personal issues with their job to customers. Other wise everything else was fine except I didn’t receive an extra blanket that I asked for.

The general manager lady at the front desk was so rude and nasty i almost wanted to stay somewhere else. She stereotyped me and my guess and im not sure why. As she was giving me the room keys she held it up so that everyone behind me could see which room number we were in and that made me feel very unsafe. I asked her why would she show people my room number and she said no one is looking, which they were. I will never stay at this place ever again. It also smelled like crack in there and she told us she was offended that i smelled crack smoke in this hotel.

Have stayed many times over the years. Always friendly staff. Clean rooms and easy to get to. Price is very reasonable as we have to come to Duluth for Medical Care a couple times a month. Always accommodating to my needs(first floor, extra blanket etc.) will be back!!

I had injured my leg the day before arriving and could barely walk. My original room was on the second floor and despite being full the lady at the front desk was able to switch me into a first floor room. She also offered to carry my luggage and told me the best restaurants, bars, and special places to go.

This Hotel has always treated us very good, when we stay , which is very often, they are very good at accommodating us. A nice quick breakfast and coffee,tea and coco available at all times. The rooms are clean. Beds are very comfortable and we love the all the pillows. They have a new young man at the desk that was very nice. We will be staying again!

Have stayed here for many years. Tami was amazing when we checked in. Very pleasant and helpful. I had asked for a 1st floor room because stairs are difficult for me. She got us situated just fine and even got an extra blanket. I Miss Jodi Chambers(Manager) and was very sad to hear when she passed. She was like an old friend. I Hope the new owners don’t change too much or raise the prices too much. As this is another medical trip, it is nice to have a clean, quiet, reasonably priced, friendly place to relax. Tami definitely needs recognition as being an amazing person and employee! I recommend this place to everyone and will continue to do so. We will continue to stay as long as they keep the price’s reasonable!

Overall this hotel is a great option for price and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The location just isn’t close to much of Duluth’s highlights. However, it is close to the highway as an option to get to where you’ll probably want to explore.

4/5. Overall good value. No frills room. Clean. A/C. Very friendly staff. The location was a bit industrial and restaurant across the way didn’t appear in good shape. But the stay was quiet and the place was very clean. Don’t expect much for breakfast. Very basic.

Very central location to both Duluth and Superior. located next to Highway 35. A Perkins restaurant is accross the road. Hot tub and breakfast on site. Pet friendly.

Not really a continental breakfast. It’s frozen stuff you get to microwave or toast. Eggos/jimmy Dean breakfast stuff. Hot tub was also out of commission during our stay. Ac seemed to go out for the last 2 nights of our stay and was especially hot the last night of our stay.

For the price, the value exceeded all expectations. I was near the ice machine, but never heard it. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was very comfortable and clean. And the free breakfast went well beyond rolls and coffee. My only quibble would be that the shower floor was a bit slippery, so I had to be extra cautious. I would advise them that by supplying 4 pillows for a queen room, they should vary the softness somewhat.
