The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The toilet was an amazing upgrade standard height no clog toilet! The place was quiet and right on the river. It is located close to restaurants and shopping centers. The only downside was that the pool was closed! It was the middle of summer and a big disappointment. I’ve stayed here in the past and enjoyed the pool with my nephew!

The check in was super quick, the hotel is located in a good area around lots of restaurants and a grocery store close. It’s set up like a motel where you park and walk to your room door. The bathroom and vanity was all updated with higher end finishes. Super clean and was very quiet.

Rooms have been updated and nice for the price. Several restaurants within walking distance and the parking lot easy to get in and out. Front desk personnel were very nice. Had a quiet stay and no issues.

Coffee pots and tea should be standard in every room and it is not at this hotel. Further, you have to go all the way to the front desk to get coffee, ice or tea. That is insane and ridiculous!

The accesible room was actually accessible. Roll in shower, chair in shower, hand held shower head, assist bars in shower and around toilet. Sink low enough to use. Bed very comfortable. Parked right outside room. Overall, very pleased with our stay.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Air was not on in room, refrigerator not plugged in and it was a very small one, no microwave in room ( had one on floor and on first floor) no ice machine on our floor had to go to first floor.

My family had a State Baseball tournament in the area so we booked a room at this establishment to be somewhat closer. It was 35 mins away from the tournament but we saw the huge pool pictured that they advertised online, we knew the kids would need to cool down, mainly booked a room because of the pool pictured. No where did it say on there website did it say their pool was closed this season. We arrived late, checked in, left early the next morning to play in the tournament and return to the establishment to find out there is no pool...the kids were so heart broken and we all had looked forward to cooling down after a day full of ball games in the heat. If your not offering all of your amenities, then don't falsely advertise...state your pool is closed for the season...i will never book at this establishment again for that reason.

There is no way that this hotel has a rating of very good. This hotel was filthy! The rooms have never been properly cleaned. Upon arrival, I always check the sheets first. It appeared that the fitted sheet had been turned over instead of replaced. The sheets were stained! The floor was so dirty that it appeared that we had been walking on fresh asphalt in the street. Mold and filth in the bathroom. You really need to drop this hotel to a two-star. Definitely not deserving of an eight-star.

Room was large and has been updated. Comforter was stained but appeared clean. Floor was dirty so wasn’t comfortable walking around barefoot. Neighbors were very loud. Staff was friendly and helpful. The AC unit sounded like a train. Overall not a very restful night.

The clerk was wonderful. Once arriving to the room we were in there 3mins too before I noticed a very large ROACH. Not water bug ROACH staring at me from the dresser top. Left with my kids and was refunded. I drove 6hrs and didn’t trust to stay anywhere so I went to my family event and drove back home.

Room still had dirty towels in the bathroom hanging from the shower. Had urine all over the back of the toilet. Sheets & blankets were stained. The only thing I can say is the lady at the front desk was very nice & very apologetic and refunded our money.

The floors had not been cleaned in a while. I showered. Walked around with bare feet. My feet were black. Cigarette burns in the comforters. Door to outside was damaged. I was approached by people asking for money. It was rated 9 on hotels.com and I trusted that. But it is far from that score

Receptionist was wonderful and allowed us to check in early. The room was stocked as it should be but the bathroom was not cleaned well. My husband had to clean the toilet seat, the floors had a sticky feeling and the white bedspread had three grapefruit size stains.

Mattresses was very uncomfortable. My back & hip hurt so bad in the mornings. Saw & killed 2 roaches in the room. Flooring was coming up in a few spots. Check in employee was very nice.

When I walked into the room it smelled like a smoking room instead of a non smoking room. There were numerous large stains on the spread on the bed. The floor had dirty shoe prints on it. The sink and tub were slow to drain and the toilet had to be flushed several times in order to get it to go down. The last day it wouldn’t flush and even though I called the office (when I told them I had an issue all of a sudden their English was not so good) no one ever came to fix it. I get they are a pet friendly place but the barking dog at 1:00 am in the room beside us was ridiculous. This went on for two nights and I did bring it to their attention and they said they handle it, however it continued. The pool was disgusting….. the bottom was covered in rocks where they had been thrown in and I skimmed all the stuff off so we could get in but the water had a filmy surface so we just bypassed the pool. This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed in.

A little disappointed with the "upgrade". Bed was horrible, could just about feel the springs coming through the mattress and the pillows were just non-existent. Had to request extra pillows (like 5) just to even be half way comfortable.

Very comfortable accommodations with top-notch air conditioning unit, clean and properly-sorted towels, bedding linens and very-thick blackout curtains on a fully-functional curtain rod. Highly satisfied with the post-modern style of the interior decorations with fully-functional shower/ bath tub.

Rooms are outdated. Rips in the top bed cover. Cleanliness could use some improvement. You can tell the room used to be a smoking room, (or someone has smoked in it) it still has a bit of stench. The door looks like it had been broken into or kicked in at some point. It worked and it was secure. The area is pretty quiet for being in a busy place. Not bad for the price either. There’s a sogn that says “Do not feed the ducks”. I saw it after I fed the ducks. Sorry.

Check in was awful. I had booked and paid for a room in advance. When we got there the attendant kept trying to put us in a room with two beds. I showed my receipt. He put us in a downstairs room. We got everything unloaded and he called and said there was a problem with the room. We had to go back and then he put us in an upstairs room that didn’t have the amenities the other room had. I paid for a deluxe king. I would have left and went somewhere else had we not been so tired and it was 10PM.

It was a good stay except for the crazy woman outside screaming profanities from about 12:30-3:00 am Friday night. I tried calling the front desk several times but could never get any answer. Didnt get much sleep that night.

The front desk auditor was rude each and every interaction with him was not good. He was rude and just snobbish for no reason. His attitude made me cut my visit shirt and cancel for the next day. I have stayed here each time in the past but never again

We love staying at the back overlooking the lake. There are great dining options with very close walking distance. We stay here every year during Talladega just for the shopping and dining that’s available. We haven’t had a problem with cleanliness and the staff has been friendly.

Staff were excellent. Nice area to walk to restaurants etc. bed and pillows hard and ac noisy as well as noisy parking lot next door from busy restaurant. But we are there and food was beautiful. A room on the other side might be better

Was wonderful as always. Every time we are in Gadsden this is where we stay. Only complaint is no breakfast. Other then that it is a great stay!
