The reason we chose the hotel was to have a nice relaxed evening on our way home.from a cruise with a nice veiw resteraunt and bar. There was a wedding in the resteraunt so no food. The veiw was beautiful from the balcony but the wedding on the roof was so loud you couldnt enjoy it. When we drove to dinner the one thing we did nt want to do, there was no parking because of the wedding. Inside the room the tv's only had one working channel. For over 500 dollars it was terrible and the staff didnt seem concerned.

advertised jacuzzi was running cold 85 degrees. Not a normal temperature for jacuzzi. This is the top reason we selected this hotel. WiFi is mediocre especially in the balcony area. Carpet is stained and old. Views are magnificent. Access to restaurants and shops are easy.

This hotel is located on a great location on Lake Como. The parking garage was a real plus. The rooms are large, and ours had a balcony that faced the lake. The breakfast was one of the better ones we have ever had in Europe.

The temperature in the hallways was over 100 degrees (F). The carpet is worn and stained. The only elevator that served my floor was a freight elevator. The $15EU breakfast as terrible. The scrambled eggs were cold, the bacon (when available) was undercooked. They frequently ran out of fresh cut fruit (pineapple and melon). The best thing about this property was the location - convenient. Stay somewhere else.

The view from the room and patio were amazing and also from rooftop restaurant and bar. The breakfasts and dinner were of the very highest quality and reasonably priced. However the jacuzzi was open only from 10-7: exactly when people are out for the day. Every other hotel in Italy I have stayed at kept pool or hot tub open til 9 or 10 and opened by 9. Also there was some dinginess : stained carpets in hallways and 2 brown foot shaped stains in carpet in my room.

Perfect view of the serene lake como - a myriad of houses on the hill, ice-capped mountains...from the balcony of our room. Spacious room. Lack Como and walking and cycling track just right at Griso's hotel door step. Parking at the Garage was the most convenient. Easy to turn in and exit. Sufficiently spaced out lots.

I really liked this hotel. It had a spectacular view. The towels were changed every day, everything was very clean, and waking up to that view was beautiful. The location was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay even better. I would definitely stay here again.

This review covers 2 nights at the hotel. We had to book 2 separate rooms as the type we wanted was only available for the 2nd night. Key point: book a room in the refurbished/new part of the hotel. Our night 2 room was excellent. It even had a sauna in the room! A huge very comfortable bed and great lake view. And an amazing breakfast - just huge selection of things (sweet things like cakes - not so much on the cooked "front". But night 1 was very poor. A disinterested person at check-in and a very "tired" (albeit huge) room with a dripping shower. It was cheap. But when we realised that the one or two ants that we saw in the room turned out to be hundreds in various places we had to ask for a change of room. Which was agreed - and was a small taste of what was to come on night 2. A refurbished room that was so much better than the first one in every way. The hotel is in between 2 roads. We arrived at it on what is an urban dual carriageway. Reception is more like an office building reception than a hotel. Combined, those 2 things put us off to start with even before the ants. However we later foound the other road, beside Lake Como and which brings you in via the new side. A completely different impression is given. We would certainly stay there again - but only in certain rooms. Oh, and BTW, the view from the dining room over Como is superb. Hghly recommended. Unlike the view from the bar - of the dual carraigeway!

Young ones at the check-in (students ?), lack of communications, but it's not the main issue. A cockroach in the bedroom, but it can happened (I showed it to the cleaning woman). TV was losing the frequency all the time, a technician come for the trouble shooting, he tested it, but didn't understand it was an it was an intermittent failure, so I let it down. The main problem was the noise from this main road all night all long, I checked if all windows was close, but they were ! Consequence, I didn't sleep at all ! During the check out, no question about my stay, thus I didn't explain my bad experience. (I'm travelling all the time with my works and till many years, it's my first negative feed back).

This hotel has one of the most unbeatable views on the lake. The rooms are modern and comfortable. Its really nice to go for morning walks out of the building and along the lake. Its an excellent property with super staff.

This hotel is very nice and has the most incredible views and an expansive breakfast buffet. However, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. After just a few hours, I had to get up because the bed was giving me a back ache. Perhaps if you like a very stiff mattress, this will work for you, but despite the other great features, we would not stay here again.

Avoid this hotel. My first night was ruined by a non-functioning AC stuck at 23°C in hot weather. Receptionist Marco was rude, threw keys at me, told me to “find another hotel” and laughed when I threatened to call the police. Next morning, I was moved to a 4th-floor room where AC worked perfectly at 18°C — proving a solution existed but was denied. Paid in full, no apology, no compensation. Appalling service and management.

The front desk staff was excellent. Simone helped me several times before I left the states. He was my first contact with Italy and I was very grateful for his help. Lucas went out of his way as well. Both were very patient which I appreciated.

The stay at Hotel Griso was amazing from the moment we got there. The staff was incredible. We were initially greeted by Luca. He was so kind and welcoming. He was knowledgeable of the inner city logistics and helpful. We enjoyed speaking with him very much. Giona was also helpful and did a great job of multitasking the front desk with all demands coming at him at once. The manager Fiorella of the breakfast was so sweet and accommodating. Inclusion of the staff, the room was so comfortable. It was spacious and clean. They provided drinks in the mini fridge at cost, but I appreciated the convenience. There was room service daily. The food at breakfast was so delicious and had a huge variety. We also ate dinner from the restaurant that was incredible and rich in flavor. The view was gorgeous. You can't beat it. We enjoyed the spa one evening and the views around were breathtaking. This location was quiet and easily accessible by walking or bus. My family felt so cared for at Hotel Griso. You can't go wrong staying here especially with the reasonable cost each night.

The hotel itself is very nice and fine but the front desk staff nearly ruined our vacation. I reached out to them a month ahead of time to ask about airport transportation options since I was travelling with a large group. They seemed very helpful, I was expecting perhaps the contact info for a company or two, but they actually described the terms and I agreed to their offer to arrange it and got an email stating it was confirmed. I stopped by the front desk the day before we left to confirm it and was again told yes, it was arranged. Fast forward to the pickup time and they’re a no-show…turned out no one actually made the reservation. They admitted as much when I asked. They told us they could come a full 2 hrs after the requested time which would’ve caused us to make our check in under the barest of timelines (ie only if no traffic and no lines at airport) and didn’t seem very interested in amending their mistake by seeking other options. On our own we called a local cab company who fortunately saved us, albeit at a much higher cost than the prearranged transport would have been. I’d stay there only if you don’t need to entrust anything that important to their team, but our stay was very soured by that awful ending.

Staff was ok, morning staff was more helpful as to where i had experienced better before. Hotel doesnt feel 4 star, room desprately is badly under service, veneers peeling off, broke n electrical switch, dim room. I feel its more like 1 or 2 star. Perhaps its due to major renovation. The staff was ok but hotel in general is not worth the money. Rooms are ok for 2 star hotel Prices are too high . Bar service slow as hell. Room was ok but for 2 star hotel. The hotel in general is not clean , you can see some dirty spots around. Cleaning crew is not picking up trash if leave it by the door it will be there until the next morning. The location is also not that good. You have to walk a lot to get to train station because the bus stops ones in a blue moon. Generally speaking , not worth the price for sure

Receptionist Marco was rude, threw keys at me, told me to “find another hotel” and laughed when I threatened to call the police. Next morning, I was moved to a 4th-floor room where AC worked perfectly at 18°C — proving a solution existed but was denied. Paid in full, no apology, no compensation. Appalling service and management.

I really liked this hotel. It had a spectacular view. The towels were changed every day, everything was very clean, and waking up to that view was beautiful. The location was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay even better. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent views from the rooms and from the top floor bar, good breakfast, friendly staff. The hotel rooms felt a little dated and the biggest challenge was no taxis and the main train station Lecco is a good 25 min walk away which we had to do with luggage dragging over cobbled streets.

We loved the hotel, it was far enough from the hustle and bustle but still very walkable. The beaches are right outside the doors of the hotel, there was a bunch of restaurants outside the hotel doors as well. The rooftop lounge was wonderful and there is a car rental that was so much fun to drive around. It's like a Vespa meets a Fiat. We had a wonderful stay and would do it all over again!

The hotel is in a small town, very difficult to get taxis. I ended up lugging my luggage 25 minutes to the train station by foot because I could not get a taxi to drive me there; it was horrible. I also missed an activity in another town because I was unable to find a taxi in a reasonable amount of time.

This was a great place to stay if you want to be in a quieter scenic area. It was not in the center of town, but was easily walkable along the lake. It took an average of 15-20 min walk to get to the Ferris wheel in Lecco and it was a 25-30 min walk to the main Lecco train station. The room in the hotel was clean and the restaurant had great dinner options!

The reason we chose the hotel was to have a nice relaxed evening on our way home.from a cruise with a nice veiw resteraunt and bar. There was a wedding in the resteraunt so no food. The veiw was beautiful from the balcony but the wedding on the roof was so loud you couldnt enjoy it. When we drove to dinner the one thing we did nt want to do, there was no parking because of the wedding. Inside the room the tv's only had one working channel. For over 500 dollars it was terrible and the staff didnt seem concerned.

The hotel was conveniently located in the happening and historic town of Lecco. Though the parking situation can get a little crowded, it worked out and we were very satisfied with our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The scene from our room and the dining hall was worth the price alone. Very beautiful and scenic. The paid breakfast buffet was very much worth it and it was the best food we had in our stay in Italy, which is saying a lot - as it was fresh, plentiful and full of variety. The only quibbles would be that the dinner was slightly overpriced, which eh, Italy - that’s what they do to tourists, and that the hot tub was not very hot - as it was solar powered and it closed relatively early (between 8-9 pm in May). I would definitely stay at the Griso Collection at Malgrate again. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The large balcony with an amazing view of Lake Como added to the experience at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was excellent and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we experienced on our trip.

We all loved the area, rooms, views were breath taking, couldn’t ask for more. The only thing we wasn’t very impressed was restaurant menu/food. I think it was a bit overpriced for what you get. It was okay but not amazing taste.

Our room was beautiful with a fantastic huge terrace overlooking the lake. The front staff at the hotel were wonderful. Our only issue was at the restaurant which I don’t know if they are connected to the hotel or not, but the food was terrible even though it was a gorgeous view.
