For the most part this was a great hotel for my first time in Lake Como with my boyfriend. The hotel is minimalist and beautiful and the garden facing room really felt like a dream. Couple callouts, the AC was quite weak in both of the two rooms we had and this resulted in some discomfort (no fault of the hotel we had to change rooms mid stay but this AC issue was consistent in both rooms) A bigger concern worth flagging, however, was the rooftop was in such high demand from large groups of visitors coming via party bus etc that we as guests had trouble going there and getting a seat. This alone would likely prevent us from returning. We didn’t find the staff up there or manager up there particularly helpful or accommodating when we tried to get seating and it was already at capacity from visitors. The rest of the staff throughout the hotel were pretty great. But the rooftop situation specifically was frustrating, the hotel is not cheap and to not be able to use one of the main facilities felt like a gross miscalculation on their part.

Wir waren zwei Nächte hier. Sehr modernes neues Hotel, vielleicht etwas zu steril. Ein paar Blumen und Bilder wären schön. Sehr freundliches Personal insbesondere beim Frühstück sehr flott. Gute Parkmöglichkeit. Wir waren nicht im Spa. Hierfür extra zu bezahlen halte ich für einen Marketingfehler, lieber 5 € aufs Zimmer aufschlagen. Ich kann das Hotel sehr empfehlen. Schöne Aussicht auf den Lago und Lecco.

The room was small and at the back of the hotel, but clean and warm (in winter). Breakfast was very good and really helpful staff. Only negative was that we arrived at 8.05pm to be told the spa area had closed at 8pm and wouldn’t reopen until the next afternoon - slightly frustrating to say the least. Please publish this in the text as we would have chosen another hotel without spa facilities more on our route.

Great property. Nicely renovated and clean. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choices and staff were super helpful to accommodate. Lovely lake views from the rooftop bar. Will definitely stay again, in this quieter area at Lake Como.

The hotel overall is very nice. My bedroom balcony view of the lake and mountains was absolutely beautiful. Although one or two of the systems there aren't great. The Do Not Disturb system doesn't really work, because they still knock on your door just to make sure that you meant to put it on. This happened to me 3 times in 5 days (despite me complaining about it). I also got 2 phone calls from them about it, waking me up, asking me if I wanted housekeeping because I have a DND sign. Despite me requesting that I didn't get any more phone calls on it and them saying that they'd oblige with that. (Also for example, the spa didn't open until 2pm.) The staff were generally nice and helpful.

Lovely modern property. Very likable staff but not adequately trained. We emailed to make a fine dining reservation at Lisander. The front desk was teaming w young staff but no one could find the reservation. They then made one. We arrived at the restaurant 2 hours later to find it closed for a private function. The covered part of the roof deck bar was also closed for the same private group. A staff member went out of her way to make it up to us dropping us at the pizza bistro on the property, and ensuring that several dining items were comped, however the front desk was not helpful. There are several room amenity issues: no magnifying mirror in bath, no wash clothes available. One chair for 2 guests, a nespresso maker would be nice, shower stone floor lovely but slippery. Overall, it is a lovely property w room planning issues and staff training issues that could be remedied easily. Considering the hefty room charge, the value is not there. Because of the inconveniences, it would have been appropriate to comp the parking charge. The breakfast was lovely, but the overall experience was not good,

We love staying at this hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. We loved our room and it is all very modern and clean. A few little elements missing in the room would have been a nice addition like a coffee maker, hot water kettle with tea and coffee for the price, but it did not take away from the nice stay we had.

Staff was wonderful! Sara and Stefania from reception both helped us when our trains were canceled last minute and we had to find rides back to the hotel and to Milan. Hotel was clean and beautiful and breakfast and spa staff were also welcoming and helpful.

Wonderful stay with luxury amenities. The room was spotless every day and had beautiful lake views. Enjoyed the promenade and lake front facilities. Was a 25 minute walk to Lecco train station or ferry. Watch hours on ferry service!

Best hotel we've stayed in. The service and hospitality of this hotel is more like 5 stars. They were polite, amazingly accomidating, very approachable and helpful. I come back to Malgrate just to stay in this lovely hotel. The view from the rooms was breathtaking and the rooms were spotless clean and huge in size

The hotel has had a modern makeover but they have failed to build in the basic essentials that you would expect in even the most basic hotel: There was no mirror apart from the bathroom, which has terrible lighting, so it was extremely difficult for my wife to do her hair and make-up. There was no bar of soap or anywhere to hang towels and the TV didn't allow you to cast from your mobile device. The balcony is about 1m x 2.5m and we had nothing to sit on, so it was of very limited benefit. The rooms facing the lake without a balcony had very high windows, so you couldn't see the lake without standing up. The rooms are generally quite small and the decor is drab brown or concrete, so this is not a hotel for relaxation. The positives - it was very clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet offered a wide choice of options.

Beautiful hotel! Our room was perfect with all of the amenities that you need and a gorgeous view of the lake! The staff was so friendly and helpful! It is a 20-25 minute walk to the ferry that takes you to other areas of the lake. The ferry to Bellagio is an hour and a half. If I were to come again I would have stayed closer to the areas where we wanted to go. Great hotel and staff but a bit far from the action. Lecco was a bit of a sleepy town in late October.

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war leider alles andere als zufriedenstellend. Die Zimmer sind für den Preis extrem klein – mit einem Baby war das Platzangebot kaum tragbar. Es war nicht einmal genügend Raum, sich frei zu bewegen oder das Gepäck sinnvoll unterzubringen. Das Badezimmer ist winzig, und nach dem Duschen steht fast das gesamte Bad unter Wasser. Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt ist die Parksituation: Für ein Hotel in dieser Preiskategorie ist es sehr enttäuschend, dass nicht ausreichend Parkplätze für alle Gäste zur Verfügung stehen. Bei unserer Ankunft waren alle Parkplätze belegt, sodass wir sehr weit entfernt parken mussten – mit Baby und Gepäck war das besonders anstrengend und unzumutbar. Auch der Service entsprach nicht dem Anspruch, den man bei diesem Preis erwarten würde. An der Bar bestellten wir drei Getränke – eines davon wurde trotz Nachfrage einfach vergessen. Insgesamt wirkte das Personal an der Bar wenig aufmerksam und schlecht organisiert. Fazit: Preis-Leistung ist hier leider absolut nicht stimmig. The views from the Lake View Terrace rooms were incredible and everything we expected and more! The firm bed was comfy and the bathroom offering everything you’d expect, with a brilliant shower. We had a fantastic breakfast each day with very attentive staff ready to organise items not available from the buffet. We had lovely oat milk cappuccinos each morning and decaf options were available. The onsite restaurant and rooftop bar offered a great option during a rainy day, should you decide for a day at the hotel for some R&R. We had help organising a transfer to Malpensa airport which saved us 2 hours of public transport (although at a significant cost). Whilst the hotel is tucked away from the busier areas, buses to Como, Bellagio, Varenna were easy to use (you can pay by card on the bus) and trains are available. Holiday of a lifetime!

everything was great . .beautiful view.. room was great ...food was great ..my only complaint would be the lighting and ac.controls for the room . its a touch panel that controls everything and its not easy to use . we could actually never figure out the ac control panel to the point i took a picture of it and asked the front desk to explain it to me . the front desk person said what temperature would you lkke your room and then went to the front desk computer and set it there .

Great location on the waterfront. Staff were very helpful and quick to attend to any of our needs. A great spread for breakfast. Rooms were on the smaller side especially when you are traveling with big suitcases.

The hotel has had a modern makeover but they have failed to build in the basic essentials that you would expect in even the most basic hotel: There was no mirror apart from the bathroom, which has terrible lighting, so it was extremely difficult for my wife to do her hair and make-up. There was no bar of soap or anywhere to hang towels and the TV didn't allow you to cast from your mobile device. The balcony is about 1m x 2.5m and we had nothing to sit on, so it was of very limited benefit. The rooms facing the lake without a balcony had very high windows, so you couldn't see the lake without standing up. The rooms are generally quite small and the decor is drab brown or concrete, so this is not a hotel for relaxation. The positives - it was very clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet offered a wide choice of options.

Inicialmente quando fiz o Check-in ( horario cedo - antes do horario do check-in) me deram um quarto para "disable" e portanto o chuveiro não tinha BOX. Pedí para trocar para um quarto com banheiro normal e a atendente primeiro me disse que não havia quarto disponível. Estranhei pois ainda era 13:00 e o check-in era 15:00. Disse que poderia esperar até o horário do check-in para ter o quarto com banheiro com box e ela me disse que não teria mesmo assim. Depois, quando eu argumentei que não fazia sentido, ela me disse que só teria com cama de casal ( eu havia reservado com 2 camas de solteiro). Disse que poderia ser com cama de casal! Aí, como ela não tinha mais saída, me levou para ver um quarto. Disse que estava bom para mim. Penso que para um hotel 4 estrelas essa atitude não se justifica! They could not fix extra duvet/blanket fore my soon. And it was noice from 3 floor til 02:30 in the night so we could not sleep. When we cheked out they ask if the stay was good, we told these , but still need to pay fore the water. Never go back there.

Staff was wonderful! Sara and Stefania from reception both helped us when our trains were canceled last minute and we had to find rides back to the hotel and to Milan. Hotel was clean and beautiful and breakfast and spa staff were also welcoming and helpful.

The hotel overall is very nice. My bedroom balcony view of the lake and mountains was absolutely beautiful. Although one or two of the systems there aren't great. The Do Not Disturb system doesn't really work, because they still knock on your door just to make sure that you meant to put it on. This happened to me 3 times in 5 days (despite me complaining about it). I also got 2 phone calls from them about it, waking me up, asking me if I wanted housekeeping because I have a DND sign. Despite me requesting that I didn't get any more phone calls on it and them saying that they'd oblige with that. (Also for example, the spa didn't open until 2pm.) The staff were generally nice and helpful.

Best hotel we've stayed in. The service and hospitality of this hotel is more like 5 stars. They were polite, amazingly accomidating, very approachable and helpful. I come back to Malgrate just to stay in this lovely hotel. The view from the rooms was breathtaking and the rooms were spotless clean and huge in size

Lovely modern property. Very likable staff but not adequately trained. We emailed to make a fine dining reservation at Lisander. The front desk was teaming w young staff but no one could find the reservation. They then made one. We arrived at the restaurant 2 hours later to find it closed for a private function. The covered part of the roof deck bar was also closed for the same private group. A staff member went out of her way to make it up to us dropping us at the pizza bistro on the property, and ensuring that several dining items were comped, however the front desk was not helpful. There are several room amenity issues: no magnifying mirror in bath, no wash clothes available. One chair for 2 guests, a nespresso maker would be nice, shower stone floor lovely but slippery. Overall, it is a lovely property w room planning issues and staff training issues that could be remedied easily. Considering the hefty room charge, the value is not there. Because of the inconveniences, it would have been appropriate to comp the parking charge. The breakfast was lovely, but the overall experience was not good,

The hotel itself is a work of art, staff are numerous and provided great service, and the 3 different dining options were great. The bistro just across the street had the best pasta and pizza we have had so far in Italy. The fine dining option was great, and they acommodated allergies well. The only thing to be aware of, is it is a bit away from everything (can be a positive as well, as it is quiet and peaceful). Not really a major negative, you just have to plan your day around when the ferries or trains come from Lecco. About a 15 min walk to the train station which is very scenic, or a quick taxi if you have bags. It is more like a resort than a hotel, but quiet small and friendly still. This just means that you don't even need to leave the hotel as there is lot's to do and various dining options. Spa was amazing and was truly luxurious. For a price of 20 Euros each, that is very reasonable compared to other hydrotherapy spas. Rooms have high ceilings, technology like touch screen lights and modern TV was great. The stay was luxurious and amazing. Highly recommend promessi sposi!

Beautiful hotel! Our room was perfect with all of the amenities that you need and a gorgeous view of the lake! The staff was so friendly and helpful! It is a 20-25 minute walk to the ferry that takes you to other areas of the lake. The ferry to Bellagio is an hour and a half. If I were to come again I would have stayed closer to the areas where we wanted to go. Great hotel and staff but a bit far from the action. Lecco was a bit of a sleepy town in late October.

Lovely view of Lake Como and Lecco from the top floor. Staff were polite and welcoming. Bus stop was less than 100yards away - with good transport to Lecco station and Bellagio. I went for a room upgrade with a lake view terrace - I didn’t use the terrace as much as I’d hoped as there were insects and mosquitoes there - so bring some repellent with you if you go for that option. Although this is much quieter than Lecco and other larger towns, there is still traffic passing through and plenty of people walking up and down the lake front next to the hotel - so it isn’t silent, there is still some life around you.

Wonderful stay with luxury amenities. The room was spotless every day and had beautiful lake views. Enjoyed the promenade and lake front facilities. Was a 25 minute walk to Lecco train station or ferry. Watch hours on ferry service!

We arrived early-the room was ready- clean, very comfortable and modern. The staff were friendly and due to the stormy weather we also ate at the hotel in the evening which was good, as was the breakfast. We toured the lakes and stayed here as well as Como itself - we preferred this - a short walk over the bridge to the nearest town, with plenty of bars and restaurants. The morning after the storm brought out the kite surfers and yachts - great spectacle from our balcony. Parking is a proper underground car park adjoining the hotel - ideal if there is a a storm. Can't fault the stay

Room overlooking the Lake was beautiful. Breakfast was fantastic and the bar was top notch. Great location, walking distance into the City Center of Lecco, and a short bus ride away from Bellagio. Great food options nearby as well. Would love to come stay here again.
