The property was nice, we actually liked the very steep stairs, but having the small elevator was nice to bring our bags up. The room was clean and on the last day when the weather turned warm, you can ask the front desk for the A/C remote. I took off one star because the last day we found two bed bugs. We checked all the bedding (and all our clothes and everything) and didn't find anymore so it was curious, but the fact that we found two... One adult one and one smaller one was concerning

The place is very accessible to public transportation and is still in the middle of Amsterdam. The place is clean, staff is friendly and accommodating. The area is close to some tourist attractions and is accessible to other places of interest within the area. I will recommend this place to those who travel light since they do not have the lift or elevator in the property.

My experience wasn't great. The hotel is overall OK, but the room doesn't have any curtains to block the light, and considering how early the sun rises in Amsterdam at the moment, it's a major issue. The room was terribly hot at night and there was no remote for the air-conditioning in the room. It needs to be requested at the reception and pay a deposit for it. Also I travel to Amsterdam every month for work and I've never been asked to pay the tourists tax cash, or pay an extra fee to pay by card before. But here they do it. True that they communicated it before the arrival, but if I would have known it before, I wouldn't have booked this place. Imo, there are much better options in the area.

Två nätter med familj. Hissen är extremt liten och tar bara två personer. Trapporna är små och mycket branta. Vår TV fungerade vilket vi påpekade första dagen. På eftermiddagen andra dagen kom en kille men han kunde inte laga den. En kopp var odiskad och använd. Ställde den i handfatet på toa. Städerskan diskade inte den utan ställde bara tillbaka den. Rummet var i fint skick och rymligt. Det är mycket lyhört men vi stördes inte mycket. Läget är mycket bra på en lugn gata men mycket nära stan. Vi promenerade överallt. Totalt sett ett typiskt trestjärnigt hotell.

The room was good with a bed, sofa bed and kitchenette. However, no direct elevator to the room. Our room was on third floor. The elevator was to the fourth floor and you had to climb stairs down on extremely steep stairs with luggage. So if you have kids and luggage, you should consider other options. Also, no phone in the room to call reception. Other than that the staff was friendly.

Det var et veldig koselig hotell med fin beliggenhet til restauranter og barer og offentlig kommunikasjon. Betjeningen var utrolig hjelpsomme. Det var ikke heis på hotellet, men bagasjen ble bært opp til vårt rom både da vi kom og hentet da vi skulle dra, fantastisk bra service! Selv om rommet var skinnende rent, inkludert badet, ble vi dessverre «offer» for veggedyr (bedbugs) i senga. Våknet opp med røde prikker på kroppen som etter hvert begynte å klø.

Excelente ubicación y buen trato del staff, muy limpio y cómodo. Sin duda volvería a ese hotel. Lo único malo es que no cuenta con elevador, cuando OJO, Expedia muestra el elevador entre los servicios de este hotel, y demás está decir lo difícil que es bajar maletas en las escaleritas holandesas. 😓

-Property overcharges on city tax. Didn't provide a receipt and when asked for a refund, only gave back half of what they owed us. -Woke up with bug bites on our bodies and blood stains on the sheets. Very stressful experience because we had to carefully check our luggages and clothes to make sure we weren't bringing bed bugs home. -Property feels more like an upscale hostel. Way too expensive for what you're getting. -The bathroom is the size of a small shoe closet. Barely any room to move around. There was no counter space and the sink is the size of a football. Impossible to wash your face without water spilling all over the floor. When you take a shower, water leaks out onto the tile floor creating a huge and slippery mess. The water only goes up to a certain temperature and pressure isn't strong enough. -Poor wifi connection -No air conditioning so it gets really hot in the room. Had to sleep with the windows open and could hear people talking and shouting outside. If your room is facing the front of the building, the smell of cigarettes wafts into your room when windows are open. -Walls are paper thin so we heard doors opening and banging shut all night. -No cable TV. -Stairs are extremely steep. -It's a 10 min walk to get to the nearest tram stop. -No staff at reception from around midnight to 7am.

I had a good experience here. Booked a small room with the basics, had a minor issue the first day that was handled well. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, tidy and in good condition, the shower had good hot water and the service was very good, and helpful. I would gladly stay here again.

Für einen kurzen Städtetrip perfekt. Man sollte keine Erwartungen wie bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel haben aber die 3 Sterne Treffens echt gut. Zimmer und alles waren sauber und komplett ausreichend wenn man sowieso nur zum schlafen dort ist. Das Bad etwas eng aber für mich nicht weiter schlimm.
Für einen kurzen Städtetrip perfekt. Man sollte keine Erwartungen wie bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel haben aber die 3 Sterne Treffens echt gut. Zimmer und alles waren sauber und komplett ausreichend wenn man sowieso nur zum schlafen dort ist. Das Bad etwas eng aber für mich nicht weiter schlimm.

We enjoyed our stay, it definitely did the job. The decor is a bit odd, very much outdated. The bathroom was clean but the bedroom was heavily dusty around all edges. We booked a double bed but it was two twin beds pushed together, with no connector to keep them as one. Location is VERY good, for walking and using the tram. Lovely area, very quiet and there is a lidl just around the corner (perfect for cheap morning pastries). We had no troubles with noise or security. Beds were comfy and the temperature of the room was good. I think the location of the hotel makes up for what the room lacks. We didn't have breakfast there as it seemed expensive.

Excellent location and morning coffee in the room. The beds were clean and comfortable and we loved being able to open the windows to hear or shut out the street noise. Walking distance to so many types of food, museums and parks.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage, nicht zu nah, aber auch nicht zu weit weg vom Zentrum. Nach 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß ist man direkt im Zentrum. Das Zimmer war sauber und relativ modern eingerichtet. Das Personal ist freundlich und der Ablauf sehr unproblematisch. Lediglich zwei Punkte haben ein wenig gestört, die Wände waren recht hellhörig und die Betten sehr weich. Dennoch im Rahmen für ein längeres Wochenende.

I had a good experience here. Booked a small room with the basics, had a minor issue the first day that was handled well. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, tidy and in good condition, the shower had good hot water and the service was very good, and helpful. I would gladly stay here again.

My experience wasn't great. The hotel is overall OK, but the room doesn't have any curtains to block the light, and considering how early the sun rises in Amsterdam at the moment, it's a major issue. The room was terribly hot at night and there was no remote for the air-conditioning in the room. It needs to be requested at the reception and pay a deposit for it. Also I travel to Amsterdam every month for work and I've never been asked to pay the tourists tax cash, or pay an extra fee to pay by card before. But here they do it. True that they communicated it before the arrival, but if I would have known it before, I wouldn't have booked this place. Imo, there are much better options in the area.

We were staying for 8 nights and they put 2 of us into a room so small we had nowhere to store clothes or our bags, and only one person could move around at a time. To be fair, it appeared they had larger rooms but I can’t fathom why they didn’t put us in one. It seems to be family run, which I was happy about - but one of the men treated it like a motel - where they charge a deposit for everything, and they charge for lost room keys. There were no amenities, other than a nice garden area - but since there was no breakfast in the building it kinda killed using the garden. Everything is old, but they are doing a nice job keeping it alive. We tried to switch rooms but they couldn’t accommodate and wouldn’t let us switch hotels through Expedia. This will be my last time using Expedia because they aren’t useful either. Really miss having travel agents.

Staff was helpful, the place is located in very good area however they should be more organized. If you don’t request, they don’t provide water after room cleaning. It should be default and they should be putting water to the room everyday. Coffee is nice at the reception. Cookies are very delicious.

We stayed at the family studio, it was clean, bright and warm. The stairs are very steep so had to take care with that. Well located for Vondelpark and the museums. Dining options within walking distance too. Overall, a great stay in Amsterdam.

We enjoyed our stay, it definitely did the job. The decor is a bit odd, very much outdated. The bathroom was clean but the bedroom was heavily dusty around all edges. We booked a double bed but it was two twin beds pushed together, with no connector to keep them as one. Location is VERY good, for walking and using the tram. Lovely area, very quiet and there is a lidl just around the corner (perfect for cheap morning pastries). We had no troubles with noise or security. Beds were comfy and the temperature of the room was good. I think the location of the hotel makes up for what the room lacks. We didn't have breakfast there as it seemed expensive.

Hotellrummet vi fick liknade inte bilden på hemsidan, tycker heller inte det är okej att kalla det för hotell när det mer känns som att man hyr ett rum i någons lägenhet. Rummet var stort för 2 personer men för 3 tjejer blev det ganska trångt. Badrummet var litet men hade bra förvaringsytor. Färgade handdukar är något jag personligen inte tycker om då det känns gammalt men där kan alla tycka olika. Inredningen kändes gammal och jag är glad att jag inte bokade rummet ensam då den mörka interiören gav en haunted house känsla. De som jobbar i receptionen var dock väldigt hjälpsamma och vänliga, fanns lite fika de bjöd på också. Vet att många har klagat om trapporna och vill bara förtydliga att bilderna inte gör den rättvisa, det var värre än jag trodde. Är man smått berusad känns det som att det är en mission att ta sig upp eller ner utan att ramla och bryta nacken. Läget var dock ca 5-10 min promenad ifrån leidseplein vilket är ett bra läge för att kunna komma åt allt möjligt. Det var väldigt tyst utanför på gatorna men rummen i sig hade papper till väggar, det gick att höra när någon hostade i rummet bredvid. Kommer inte boka här igen på grund av skicket och känslan man får av ”hotellet” men personalen som sagt var jätte söta och hjälpsamma med allt.

Stayed here for two nights over the weekend with my friend. We had a standard room booked which was compact and cosy. As we had the standard room, we didn't have a bathroom in the room but the bathroom with a shower was next to our room and no hassle at all. Coffee machine with pods in the room. On arrival, free shampoos, hairspray, toothpaste etc to use. The hotel was in quiet and pleasant location and everything was within walking distance. Good value for money and I would stay here again
