To start off the pool was closed, this WAS NOT listed on the Expedia site at booking, the staff was rude, would not allow us to have more 3 towels even though there were 4 of us in the room. There was not daily cleaning, if you asked for anything the staff would get an attitude with you. Half the wall outlets and half the lights didn’t work, the shower made a terrible noise. The sheets had old stains on them. Not happy at all and will not ever book with this establishment again.

Elevator did not display inspection report. Buttons on it were broken, carpet dirty. Place smelled, drywall over my shower unpainted. Bathroom Door had broken kick and punch holes and was broken in half and glued back together. Bathroom sink light barely lit anything. Vending machines didn’t vend using credit card and room key kept stopping working.

Worked for what we needed, seemed to be in a decent area. But pretty dated, shower head didn't work and was about to pop off, bathroom sink faucet aerator sprayed out the bowl, pool was broken/not open, landscaping/property was a bit rough.

average place to stay and you get what you pay for. Was very close to Historic St. charles main street and centrally located to anything you really wanted to do. Back entry way kept unlocked so anyone could just slip in. Could use upgrading to facilities . Was there for a concert. Not horrible but not great and again was located close to everything being the only plus.

Cracked floor tile in bathroom that actually moved when stepped on. Sink drain slow. Fridge hard to use in cabinet, had to move it to open it and move it back to close it. Elevator out of order when we arrived, had to haul our luggage up two flights of stairs to third floor room. It worked the next day, but not well. "Breakfast" was minimal. Carbs only. Waffles, toast, muffins, cereal, juice, milk, dispenser coffee. A/C noisy, weird noise. Bedside electrical outlets too loose to keep phone chargers plugged in.

Our room smelled bad and so did much of the hotel, not so horrible that we couldn't just ignore it and make the most of our trip, but enough that it was unpleasant. Their "breakfast" was cereal, some mediocre muffins, toast, or questionable waffles that you made yourself and when someone spilled waffle mix all over the counter and floor they had not cleaned it up by the next day.

The room looked ok at first glance. Then we noticed that all the furniture was very beaten and most was broken. The amount of dust all over was scary. The fridge had mold in it. The outlets were not securely covered and the final straw was the cockroaches. When I told the front desk, he said "I know, I won't be able to refund you "

Our first room had bed bugs and the room had mold in the lamp.We didn't notice the bed bugs until four hours after arriving and my son was asleep. I went to the front and told them we had bed bugs. They switched our room but only gave me one key. The next morning I noticed our remote for the TV was not there. I told the front desk and they said they would get one for us. We went out for about 2 hours, when we came back we still had no remote. I went to the front desk again and asked for a remote and they again said they would get us a remote. We left for the day and came back that evening and still no remote. At this time I tried to connect our firestick and got the TV on by a button under the TV. None of the HDMI connections worked so we still could not use the TV. I was very disappointed by this hotel. I would of left the first night if we had somewhere to go or I could afford to purchase a different hotel room. I have never stayed in any hotel as dirty as this one and inattentive staff. DO NOT STAY Here!

I’ve stayed in many hotels while traveling for work. This is by far the worse hotel I’ve stayed at so far. It needs upgrades and repairs badly. The room was dirty. Only one light worked out of 4 in the room. The smell was so musty and dirty smelling. Would not recommend for anyone to stay there.

The place was stinky and very dirty. There was a sign explaining that there was no maid service? Maybe why it’s so filthy. There were broken tiles in the elevator, the elevator hade something sticky on the buttons. The sheets were thread bare. One comforter had stains.

Most everything in my room was dirty. The toilet had no flush handle. With the tank lid off I had to manually flush the toilet. The sheets had red/brown spots on them. The TV kept freezing up.

This was the dirtiest hotwl I have ever been to. Smelled like stale cigarettes and the carpet was sticky. THEN the double charged me because they said thwy didn't have my "virtual card" from Hotels.com so they took my physical card and charged it as well. I tried to call Hotels.com to fix the problem and the front desk still double charged me anyway.

This hotel is filthy. My bed linens are stained. The bathroom floor is slimy. There are people loving here who are terrifying. A man working for the hotel was using a leaf blower in the dark with a beer in his hand blowing stuff off the parking lot. I am disgusted. My towels are strained on the edges. The table/desk has something slimy smeared all over it.

The heat and AC unit made a terrible squealing noise. Some electrical outlets and lights did not work. Generally, it needed many repairs and updates. They had no maid service, so the cleanliness was suspect.

Two things for the poor rating. For starters, the room door wouldn't latch, so there was no way to lock the door when leaving the room. At least there was a chain lock on the inside for while in the room. Second...It was like a scavenger hunt trying to find outlets in the room that worked. Half of the wall outlets were dead.

I arrived and was first given a room on the third floor. When I got off the elevator, I was immediately hit by the smell of cigarette smoking, which permeated the whole floor. I went back down and asked for another room. I was then given a room on the first floor. My new room was about a third of the way down the hall. It was apparent someone further down the hall was smoking because I could smell smoke when I reached my door. It is very obvious that while they advertise 100% no smoking, they don't enforce their policy. My room had issues as well. The light over the sink was not working correctly. It produced only a dim light that could better be described as a night light rather than lighting for shaving or applying makeup. Additionally, the lever for controlling the water flow at the sink had to be placed in an odd position to switch the water off. If it were not set precisely, the water would run. The TV took a lot of work to operate. Finding channels was frustrating because there were huge spaces between them, and the paper guide placed next to the TV had a tiny font, making it difficult to read. For the charge, I would expect a better experience. I won't use this hotel again when I visit St. Charles.

This is a very low budget motel that serves a purpose. The bed was comfortable and the water was hot. Check-in was quick. The location is decent as it’s close to restaurants and stores. That’s where the good stops. The hotel is non-smoking, but the old stench of cigarettes fills the halls and rooms from a previous era. The room was not clean. The light over the sink didn’t work. The bathroom door didn’t have a knob. The sheets and towels need to be thrown away. There’s no window screen. I immediately went to Walgreens (walking distance) for Lysol and sprayed every inch of that room for some peace of mind. If I were staying for more than one drunken night, I couldn’t have stayed there. There was a random pack of “viagara” in the exercise room. By the way, that consists of one treadmill, one bike, and one elliptical which is all better than nothing.

This was by far the worst hotel, my family has ever checked in at. To start, the front desk had a line of people waiting for 25 minutes before the front desk attendant came running in through a side door saying, "sorry, who's next?" We checked in, had to drop off our bags and leave right away. When we came back a couple hours later, I realized I left my keys in the room. I then asked the front desk attendant for a new set of keys, and she just gave them to me without any confirmation of who we were. Not safe. Once we got off the sketchy elevator and to our room, we then realized how bad of shape the room was in. The light fixtures were falling off the wall. Hair in the stained tub. The door chain lock was falling off the door. The faucet was broken, and the sheets had a stain on them. The entire hotel stunk dirty, musty, and old smoke. We packed up our bags immediately and went to the hotel desk to tell the attendant we would not be staying the night. She asked if anything was wrong with the room. I said, there was a lot wrong with it and it was nothing I had hoped. She then said, ok, your receipt will be sent to you via email. Which, I still have not received. No questions, apologies or explanations for anything. It was the worst hotel experience we have ever seen.

To start, the front desk had a line of people waiting for 25 minutes before the front desk attendant came running in through a side door saying, "sorry, who's next?" We checked in, had to drop off our bags and leave right away. When we came back a couple hours later, I realized I left my keys in the room. I then asked the front desk attendant for a new set of keys, and she just gave them to me without any confirmation of who we were. Not safe. Once we got off the sketchy elevator and to our room, we then realized how bad of shape the room was in. The light fixtures were falling off the wall. Hair in the stained tub. The door chain lock was falling off the door. The faucet was broken, and the sheets had a stain on them. The entire hotel stunk dirty, musty, and old smoke. We packed up our bags immediately and went to the hotel desk to tell the attendant we would not be staying the night. She asked if anything was wrong with the room. I said, there was a lot wrong with it and it was nothing I had hoped. She then said, ok, your receipt will be sent to you via email. Which, I still have not received. No questions, apologies or explanations for anything. It was the worst hotel experience we have ever seen.

The staff were very friendly. Beautiful smiles and seemed excited to hear about the Anime convention we were attending. There's no maid service so remember to ask for extra towels, trash bags etc. easy to do and graciously given. We plan to stay there again next year.

The front desk clerk was very rude and seemed put out with us being there. I think he was training the serving guy but we politely waited until he was ready for us. When got to us he was speaking quietly and had a very thick accent. We did not know we needed to leave a deposit and he got very irritated when we wanted to use a different card for the deposit as the room was already paid. Any time we went to the lobby, the second guy was just standing there. It was creepy. The hotel has been converted to non smoking but the filter in our room (105) definitely needed to be changed because every time the ac came on it smelled like smoke. We went for breakfast in the lobby and there was no protein. The choices were waffles, cereal or toast. We went to Denny's where Connie and Tony were awesome!! We will not be returning to this property.

Took a while for someone to come to the desk to check us in. I was put near a side door so i could take my dogs out, but it wouldn't let you back in. You had to walk back to the lobby to get back in. Toilet didn't flush TP correctly. Could smell someone smoking in a nonsmoking floor. Woke up to side door being propped open, so the hallways were freezing cold. Heard people yelling all night

There was no maid service, so no cleaning whatsoever. Looked like it hadnt been cleaned in years. Very unfriendly when asked for clean towels. The breakfast was a joke. I wouldn't let my dog stay here or even if it was free, would i stay again!!! Couldn't wait to shower at home to feel clean.

I reserved 3 rooms for my parents and son and nephew since it was my daughter's graduation and they all live out of state. My family came in late due to weather and I called ahead of time to let the hotel know that they would be in around 1030 or 11 pm. The lady was nice that took my phone call. Then when my family actually got to the hotel that's when the nightmare started. The kid who was working that evening couldn't find the hotel reservation and when he finally found it he tried charging them 300 dollars more than what the reservation was for. So my mom had to call me to come to the hotel to help them and while I explained to the kid what was going on he just laughed at me. Then the showers were not working in one of the rooms, there was a tick on one of the beds and the same kid accused my family about stealing a bible and said that they had someone else staying in the room with no evidence and almost refused to give my dad his deposit back. I put a credit card on file so the would not have to worry about trying to pay for the hotel and the hotel couldn't find the card on file plus he was quick to take the cash from my dad after I told them to just put it all on my credit card. We will never use this hotel again. And it wasn't just my family that had issues. There was several customers locked out of rooms and complaining to the staff and this kid had a smirk on his face and could care less of the frustration of the weary travelers

Everything was fine with the room. I would have like to have a vending machine on our floor (3) but no big deal in the long run. The lady at the front desk wasnt the friendliest, thats the only real complaint. But a pretty good establishment for the price!

First of all the gentleman in charge was WONDERFUL! Very pleasant at check in, then our bathroom lightbulb burned out so he was very quick to change it and apologized multiple times for the inconvenience. He was a gem! The hotel itself was very dated which wasn’t an issue but it’s definitely had several “patch jobs” instead of actual fix’s & it showed. Several tiles in the elevator & our bathroom were cracked, chipped, or just gone! The elevator buttons were slightly broken, which was concerning, & cleanliness was questionable. There was dust & dirt in several places but thankfully the beds were clean. For a 1 night stay it was fine & I can’t say enough how great the service was, was could definitely use some updating & maybe a new cleaning service. Location wise it was great too! Shops & food options within literal steps! It was also a short drive to the family arena, which was what we were there for.

Breakfast was a bit lean with them being out of pasteries and milk with 30 minutes of breakfast remaining. If you want a no frillls lodging at a reasonable price. This hotel will do fine. They did have a pool that I did not use.

We booked two rooms for our stay at this hotel. One of our two rooms was considered pet friendly and because of that it smelled like pet urine. Very strong odor. Secondly, we parked our car at the back of the hotel because it was easier access to our room for my handicapped mom. Well their we’re homeless people living in close proximity to the back door and other people loitering by the back door who appeared to be permanent guests of the place and looked like junkies and very run down profiles. My family felt a bit unsafe going in and out to our car.

This is a very low budget motel that serves a purpose. The bed was comfortable and the water was hot. Check-in was quick. The location is decent as it’s close to restaurants and stores. That’s where the good stops. The hotel is non-smoking, but the old stench of cigarettes fills the halls and rooms from a previous era. The room was not clean. The light over the sink didn’t work. The bathroom door didn’t have a knob. The sheets and towels need to be thrown away. There’s no window screen. I immediately went to Walgreens (walking distance) for Lysol and sprayed every inch of that room for some peace of mind. Our room smelled bad and so did much of the hotel, not so horrible that we couldn't just ignore it and make the most of our trip, but enough that it was unpleasant. We booked this hotel the night of our stay. Check -in was easy and fast, staff was very nice. Property is outdated, breakfast was poor, coffee machine was broken. Cracked floor tile in bathroom that actually moved when stepped on. Sink drain slow. Fridge hard to use in cabinet, had to move it to open it and move it back to close it. The pool was not open nor was it even filled. I booked here because of the pool and we never had a chance to use it. The bathroom was not fully cleaned prior to our arrival. When the pool is open I would think this is a reasonable property for the money, without the pool I would book elsewhere.
