Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center

It was great. The pool was awesome, perfect temp. The bar/restaurant had good food. The game room was enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious.

Pictures do not reflect current property. There is no go cart track and the pool area is very run down and did not see safe. Very dated, even with current renovations happening.

Ice machine was broken, side entrace security lock was broken. Could use some maintenance.

Great location for Bike week. Clean quiet hotel. Plenty of parking. Decent fitness room. Comfy beds. Poor internet. Tv did not work

The property was close to the venue we were at. The food from the bar was beyond amazing!!! The pool needed cleaned, the pool floor was black. It needed scrubbed, and the pool water felt like bath water. The area around the pool felt like a sauna.

It was a good hotel. Not what the pictures depicted, but for the price it was good. Pool was nice. "Restaurant " was just a bar that closed at 9. But they did stay late to cook for my family because we had car problems and hadn't eaten ALL DAY. So that was DEFINITELY A BONUS. Will stay there again if we go back to Gettysburg. Need another waffle maker for breakfast

Room was nice the breakfast was bland and this hotel is connected to aspire hotel so the workout gym you walk a distance to but the pool and area is exceptionally big and nice! I would not stay there again as it was too far from town

We stayed here for bike week. Pros: Location was perfect, a short walk to the vendors and events. Nice lobby and friendly staff. Rooms were large and clean. Plenty of hot water. Convenient parking. Fairly good breakfast. Nice bar with great bartenders. Beds were comfortable and no complaints about the pillows. Cons: Hallway was a bit rundown. The door we used to enter was broken and didn't lock. Vending machines ate money. Air conditioning (wall unit) didn't fully cool down the room in July. A bit of a musty odor in the room, we think from the pool. The pool was so warm it was like taking a bath. We paid a bit more for a balcony room not realizing the balcony was over the indoor pool. Wouldn't have been a problem, except the pool area was so hot and humid we couldn't sit out on the balcony for more than a few minutes. I have been told by others that had stayed there several years in a row that these issues were NOT the norm, so we'll try again next year.

The front desk representative was amazing. He was friendly and very attentive. However, the room was not cleaned. There was hair in the shower a ring around the toilet bowl hair in the bathroom sink. There was hair on both beds and the mattress had springs that I could feel on my back when I was sleeping

Just your average stay at a hotel was nothing special. Was not the cleanest as there was installation or something from the ceiling that had fallen and just like laid on the floor for two days.

Room was dirty. Stains on the ceiling. Spider webs on bed post. You can tell some spots was not vacuumed

This property was filthy. The bathroom had hair on the floor, the toilet was disgusting (the seat had blood and feces on it). Part of the hotel was Being renovated and this was not reflected in the photos that are posted on the site. When informed them about rendition the room, i was told that they could not switch my room and, since i had checked in about an hour before complaining (we checked in then went to eat before going up to the room), they couldn’t guarantee that WE hadn’t made the mess.

When we first walked into the room one bed loosk like some one slept in it, blood on mattress, dirty hand prints on all the doors, chain lock on door backwards and broken, womens eyelashes in the bathroom, fecies in the toilet bowl, poorly renovated, pictures are absolutely not of that hotel i can assure you. No one at the desk after check in, slept in my car after 45.mins of waiting.

The room wasn't cleaned during our entire stay. The trash was emptied once at our demand. No one at the desk for the first two days. Will never stay there again and will let everyone we know how bad the hotel and staff were.

The food served at breakfast was GREAT! I was afraid my car was going to get broken into...lighting in PLot. Room was dirty, hair everywhere, not just bathroom. Staff was nice to chat.

They are definitely in need of some upgrades. The rug on the second floor, definitely has issues. The front desk was not attended on Sunday or Monday. To get extra towels we had to go to the front desk to get them. Our room wasnt cleaned at all on Sunday, we had to call and ask someone to come get the garbage and wet towels. Thought about going swimming but the pool had a nasty layer of film on it.

Room was not ready despite arriving around 5 pm. Same issue for 3 to 4 people ahead of us. Went to eat and came back to no one at front desk. Had to wait 10 minutes. Room dated and not clean. Insufficient lighting in parking area. There appeared to be lights, but they weren't onnor were non-functional...not sure. Photos in advertisements looked nice, but once in lobby you can see place is not well maintained. I wouldn't stay here agsin.positives: good water pressure, plenty of hot water, comfortable (soft) pillows.

Very dirty not and outdated

In town for the weekend. Hotel has signs of its former glory. Seems that they have tried to do cheap updates. Plank floors in the rooms, new paint. Could use a complete overhaul and it would be a great destination. Walls are very thin. You can hear every word of your neighbors.

Quick overnight stay. Interior room w/ balcony overlooking pool did NOT have a lock on the balcony door. Room was clean enough

This hotel is....strange. Our room was very dated, and did not feel clean. The pillows and bedding were odd, and the bed not very comfortable. The walls are PAPER thin - to the point where someone sneezed in the room next to us and my husband said "god bless you" because he thought it was ME sneezing. We did specifically book a room not connected to the pool area because of other reviews I read, so those rooms might be worse smell/sound-wise. It's nice that breakfast is included, it was fine. Getting to our room from the lobby is weird, you have to go through a pair of swinging doors that look like kitchen doors? And go into a weird space that smells like cigarette smoke to get to the elevator or stairs. After we stayed here, we regretted not shelling out the extra cash and staying somewhere nicer. I think this is an okay hotel if you're on a tight budget and need to stay within the Gettysburg area, but if you can afford somewhere better, you should.

The beds and pillows were sooooo uncomfortable. Loved the facility but those beds are why i will NEVER book another room there.

TV was inoperable. Lamp at desk/table was inoperable Room 223 Get the deficiencies fixed!

Rooms were a bit dated..but bed comfy, nice combo of soft and firm pillows. Only there one night....

Overall great stay. Hotel is obviously older so we didn’t expect a new feel. Nice service, room was clean, free breakfast was a plus. Older, outdated colors and carpet, but generally a good value for the money.

Great stay with them. Beautiful hotel, clean. The cleaning lady asked dailybweather needed anything and was on top of getting us what we needed. Pool was nice and front desk was helpful. Would stay here again.

Our stay was good enough. The hotel is huge and we had trouble finding our room. So I went back and the check in guy took us to our room. We really appreciated that. The thing about our room that was disappointing was that there were no brochures to let us know of the amenities of the hotel. Also the room was clean except for the cobwebs above the bed on the ceiling. My husband grabbed a towel to knock down the web

Checkin was ok, when we returned the first night our keys didnt work, batteries were dead in the door which they came and changed, 2nd day we returned which we left the do not disturb sign on the door as we are only staying a few nights but found our door wide open with some dude changing sheets, very odd and uncomfortable situation, next when we checked out nobody was at the desk so i just dropped the keys over the counter

Yall… this is gonna be lengthy! The property was hard to even find as it’s not well lit- looks like something from a horror movie. Parking is on the side of building with NO lighting & you have to walk through a giant bush to get to the front. The grounds were “maintained” but it looks abandoned. The inside of the place smelled like mold & must and was just generally unclean. Stains on the walls, stains on the white towels, the doors had handprints… the windows weren’t stained or tinted & we were on the first floor so we had to keep the curtains closed the entire time. The carpets were all rippled and actually caused me to trip several times- let’s not even talk about the RAMP???? Why is there a Tony Hawks pro skater ramp to get to the hallways with the rooms? Why is it so steep?? The freaking door to the room didn’t even close properly- it was ajar the whole time. We checked the other nearby rooms & they also were not closed properly. We tried to search for another hotel but nothing is even remotely nearby in this area. I wouldn’t have even requested a refund that’s how grossed out we were. There was hair on and inside the pillow cases- the towels had stains- everything felt and smelled unclean and unkept. If you’re hungry or thirsty- forget about it because theres nothing available The employee was nice but there was only 1 guy at the desk, creating long check in times. The older man I assume is the father/grandfather lurks about and stares at you which is very creepy.

We enjoyed the Eisenhower very much. Comfortable beds, clean room, nice shower. Good breakfast selections. Close to the battlefield without having to fight with traffic downtown. We’ll be staying here again!

This property seems to lack in staff. The front desk was frequently unattended, which caused long lines for guests. As soon as I walked in, I saw another irate guest speaking with the front desk about the uncleanliness of her room, showing dirt and dust all over the A/C unit in the room and mold on the ceilings. The ceilings throughout the entire hotel, including the rooms and bathrooms were drop ceilings. Many of the rooms were facing the pool in the center courtyard which was very noisy. There was also poor ventilation in the entire hotel, which made it very stuffy, humid, and smelly. I only stayed for 1 night for an event in the adjacent Allstar Event Complex, so it was tolerable, but there's much nicer hotels about 15min into town. This is one case where convenience doesn't equal ease and comfort.

There is a phone at the front desk that should call other hotel and have employee come to you instead of your customers having to walk to them. I arrived at hotel at 5 pm to a sign that said desk closed go to other hotel next door to check in. We had already brought our luggage in so we had to lug it next door( only maybe a three minute walk) but it was 95 degrees and husband has a cane and breathing problems, so it seemed like a hundred miles to him!! But other than that we loved our stay. Need to fix your carpet on second floor before someone hurts themselves. Maid came by everyday and was very nice. Pool was clean and warm. Room was clean and comfy. Will definitely stay here again.

Check-in was great. Person who greeted us was friendly, professional and accommodating. This is an old property attached to a newer, updated one (Aspire). Don't expect it to have the frills of a brand new high rise hotel in a big city. This is, of course, Gettysburg. Most people come to the city for its history! The Eisenhower's charm is its quieter, quaint vibe. It's old-fashioned and disconnected from 2024, which is nice. The concierge at the Hotel Gettysburg said it reminded him of the Stanley Hotel in Colorado and he wasn't too far off that mark. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to who ever wants old-fashioned charm and a little mystery during their Gettysburg stay.

Property still under renovation. Very outdated even though the photos on their website show a very nice hotel. Desk was broken in our room. When we told the gentleman at the front desk he asked if that was a problem. Went to the check in desk at the adjoining hotel the next morning to complain again. They brought in a new desk after our second complaint. no one at the front desk for two out of the three nights we were there. We had to go to the adjoining hotel to find anyone if we needed assistance. Our third evening we came back after spending the day in Gettysburg to discover we were locked out of our room. Lady at the desk didn't apologize for the inconvenience of being locked out.

The room was clean but a bit outdated. Some amenities werebrand new so it looks like they're making improvements. Overall a good location, close to museums we wanted to see.

Location was very pleasant and quiet. In country away from busy downtown. Breakfast was nice, sausage, scambled eggs, juice, etc. Bathroom could use a safety bar at tub. Wall hooks or shelves to hang towels.

Only a short drive from downtown Gettysburg made our adventures during our stay very convenient, grounds were pretty, interior was clean and stylish, heated pool was the PERFECT temp so relaxing. All for a reasonable price! 10/10 We’d stay here again.

Great place, best price for the Apple Harvest Festival weekend. Clean and comfortable, a bit outside of the main part of town, but its and easy 5-10 minute drive to everything in GBurg.

Very quiet. A little South of Gettysburg, but worth the 5 minute drive time for the piece and quiet.

The breakfast was good. We eat at the restaurant and the food was very good. The entire staff and very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

This hotel was just fine for the 2 nights we stayed there. The room and the property were clean. The breakfast was excellent. It's not an upscale hotel but for the price, it was definitely worth it!

This is the third time that we have stayed at this property. It is quiet and clean, but it could use a little TLC in some places. It appears that the property owner has been gradually working on this. The hot breakfast is always hot and well-stocked. The only issue that we had was with the Wi-Fi this time that we stayed. After several attempts at trying to get it working the front desk clerk offered to move us to another room. We had no Wi-Fi issues after changing rooms.

We have stayed at a lot less expensive hotels that were much cleaner and well kept. For $160 we should not have found an empty toilet paper roll on the bathroom floor or crumbs under the nightstand. The outside of the property needs attention, bushes need trimmed back away from the sidewalk and the parking lot is long overdue for a paving. The bartender on duty was not welcoming and it seemed as though she was annoyed having to work. I will probably choose another hotel next time we go Gettysburg.

Super convenient location if you are visiting the Gettysburg battlefield park. Like other reviews, the hotel is dated. But when you are aware of that going into it then it meets your expectations. Beds were very comfortable. Large indoor pool area. I cannot comment on the pool as we did not swim. But we enjoyed sitting out on our little balcony overlooking the pool and people watching. The continental breakfast was the highlight I would give it 10/10 for variety. It wasn’t all bread/carbs like some other continental breakfasts, it actually had protein options too. Overall we had good experience staying here.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The location is nice, very pretty and quiet. The hotel itself is, a little dated. The carpet is buckling in the hall ways so be careful of tripping. The arcade is lacking. The breakfast is the basic spread you see at any hotel. The tv was severely lacking in options to watch. The ac unit we had was very old and finicky. The hotel itself has a rich history, and definitely has a spooky feel to it, if that’s what you’re looking for. The pool was nice, no hot tub as supposedly listed. The room was very clean which is very important, but we never got any house keeping despite not having any dnd sign up, and we were there 5 days. The hotel is severely lacking staff. So much we had to walk twice over to the attached hotel the Aspine, to get the card keys fixed. The lounge is nice, and the barkeeper was super sweet. If you go on weekdays the hotel is a ghost town, hardly any people, staff and any facilities (deli, lounge, room service is only on weekends) Not my worst stay, I’d stay again, but the hotel would benefit from a renovation of rooms, and more staff.

We were not impressed with the hotel at all. First there was a dog show happening that was not mentioned on their website at all so there were dogs yapping throughout the hotel. The little deli/ gift shop was not open either of the days we stayed. At 8 pm on the second night, I went to try to get a drink at the lounge. The front desk informed that it was not open and maybe open on Wednesday night, it was currently Monday. The bed was very firm and the pool area was definitely not as nice as the pictures.
