Everything was great about the property and room. The bar staff was amazing and so friendly. The only negative thing was that one of the teo elevators was out of order and at the end of the night both were out of order. Up in running in the morning but still a small negative.

Comfortable, clean, and the ideal location for walking around the town of Gettysburg. NOT IMPRESSED by the parking. You are required to pay to park in the nearby parking garage. Hope you dont have a large or lifted vehicle- bc you're not going to fit. Metered parking everywhere, and so are the parking police with their tickets... hotel on the whole was great. The parking situation just takes a toll on the stay.

Hotel Gettysburg was a great choice to stay for our 2-day Gettysburg vacation! Helpful and personable staff, centrally located, excellent restaurant and Starbucks on site. Bedroom with pull-out sofa worked well for three people. Small refrigerator and Kuerig coffee maker! Only improvement would be to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Would definitely stay there again!

It is a very nice place the only downfall I would say would be patking they dont have facility parking. I was changed to park. It was the only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 for facility. I would visit again just recommend the hotel look into partnership with parking deck.

This is a great place to stay. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel is convenient to shops, restaurants and tours. The location is literally right in the middle of town. The decor was perfect for Gettysburg. I gave it a 3 for amenities only because there was no pool. If I go back to Gettysburg I will stay here again I would highly recommend this place.

Loved the location of the hotel. Easy to walk to restaurants and shops in Gettysburg. Staff was friendly. Restaurant and bar located at the hotel. No breakfast (you could pay for one- but should be offered for people staying there) or pool. Did have one but was closed for good.

Breakfast at the restaurant was sub-par. Hair dryer in the room was unclean. Walls were so thin you could hear the TV next door. While leaving the room one evening, had to navigate through a wedding reception between the elevator and the exit- very awkward.

Overall the hotel was really nice and enjoyable and also quiet which is nice and staff was really friendly. The only issues I had was the water didn’t drain properly in the shower and also the AC vents were extremely dirty where my girlfriend was having a hard time with her allergies and didn’t sleep well. And also room service never came to our room even when we had the sign out to have the room cleaned for fresh towels and sheets. Spending over $700 for two nights you would think you would atleast get that, also there was no fridge in the rooms which isn’t the biggest issue but there was some food me and my girlfriend wanted to bring back with us from the restaurants we went too but we could not due to the no fridge aspect. Overall it was a nice hotel and I’d consider coming back.

The room was one that did not get remodeled. The room was uncomfortable. The bath room was dirty and unsanitary, there was mildew and black mold on the tile grout. Ick! I wonder why we were put in such a nasty room?

The building looks historic from the street, but has all the (bland) charm of a holiday inn inside. Two other issues we had: - Our TV had some sort of demo-mode thing on the screen that I could not turn off - On one of the beds, when I pulled the cover back there was an enormous wet spot that apparently was just covered over. No idea what it was and don't want to know.

Although central to the town, this hotel is a mile from the battlefield in each direction. Insect issue, too. My room had crickets and silverfish. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful.

Overall, the stay was very good. The room was spacious and clean. Great view of the square! I was surprised to find the room did not have a mini fridge. Our room last year did! The bathroom was very clean. The bed…unfortunately VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! I would love to say that after a few nights we’re well rested, but I cannot. We hardly slept! The thermostat was also not functioning properly. I did call the front desk. While no one came to the room, maybe something was fixed behind the scenes? After the first day, the temperature seemed to be controlled. Very friendly staff and bar staff. We enjoyed a few drinks nightly. Prices were different every time, but we figured it all evened out in the end.

Beautiful old hotel right in the heart of everything. Walking distance to the university and all the downtown shops and restaurants. Comfortable beds and great pillows. However the service is severely lacking. Our room was never cleaned while we were there, even on a day where we left at 10am and didn’t come back until after midnight. That also meant we didn’t get refilled coffee or other items. Our soap/conditioner dispenser were empty so we had to use shampoo and since they didn’t clean our room they were never refilled during our stay. Water pressure in the shower was really low, not enjoyable.

Everything was good up until the hotel put two holds on my credit card and debit card for the full price of the stay plus two hundreds dollar more. Told us this was policy. Couldn’t get a straight answer and the front desk kept giving us the run around. Told us it was hotel.com fault. Then my banks. It was them.

Very clean and right in the middle of everything. There were great places to eat within walking distance. Parking was about $20 a day. Our only negative comment was that when we tried to call the front desk (about four different times @ 15 rings each time), no one ever answered. We left a call back number and no one ever called us back. That was a little frustrating. However…..we would definitely stay here again the next time we come back to Gettysburg!

Very accommodating staff. Original room A/C was not functioning so staff found us another comparable room. Staff brought the new room key to us so we did not need to pack up and head to the lobby. This morning the desk staff saw me carrying two cups of coffee and ran ahead to push the elevator buttons for me. Well done.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay at the Hotel Gettysburg! Check-in was easy, as we were able to park in front of the hotel to unload; parking was self-service in a public garage behind the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely with a beautiful lobby, and hallways with historical displays. Our room was nice...very comfy, spacious, and clean. As was the bathroom. A nice place to stay while visiting this historic town. Located in the center of downtown Gettysburg, there are numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance.

The staff was wonderful. We arrived a day early and the staff found a room for my wife and I and we were thrilled they got us in. The next two nights we had reservations and we were in a wonderful room facing the town square. Bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was spacious. We without question stay there again!

Really great stay here. Really convenient for local dining and shopping. Rooms are very nice & comfortable. Good public parking (payable separately) at the rear of the hotel. Drive out to the battlefield museum only 5-10 minutes and a self guided auto tour or optional guided tour is of course a must do

Perfect location to launch a Gettysburg adventure. Lots to do in walking distance. Property was clean, comfortable and spacious. Restaurant was very good and has a cozy bar with friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed for a couple nights. Got two rooms for myself and my parents. We toured the battlefield and Eisenhower’s farm. The restaurant at the hotel had great food and the staff everywhere were very friendly and helpful.

Very convenient to Gettysburg National Military Park. Very comfortable hotel and pleasant people. Was disappointed with the hotel dining. Staff was great. But food chief did not do a good job on the meals. Lobster was tough and not good at all. But expensive.
