Nice size updated rooms with separate aread with sink, coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Washroom is a nice size so does not feel claustrophobic. Room itself is large enough to allow sufficient room with 2 queen size beds. Also has a balcony and an AC that works. Front desk staff was friendly at checkin. Checkout morning staff not as friendly but courteous. Included breakfast was cheese omelettes, sausages, selection of bread/ yogourt and juices. Only issue was at time of checkin, the elevator was not functioning so we had to take the stairs with our luggage to the 2nd floor. The elevator was repaired later that night. For price point, was well worth it and would stay there again.

Stayed here before catching a morning ferry. The location is convenient to the ferry terminal but there is not much around. No restaurants within walking distance and no pool or hot tub on site. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The check in was just fine, but when entering into the elevator the carpet was wasted and dirty. The smelling was not good as well. The room was good with a lot of space, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a typical hotel’s breakfast nothing fantastic to taste. Check out was fast.

The lobby stinks. Very very old dirty carpet as well as in the elevator. Not a good first impression. The room itself was somewhat better, tho the carpet def should be replaced. Bed was comfortable enough. A very hard working, pleasant lady worked in the breakfast buffet which had a decent spread of food. Besides the initial bad smell, place was decent.

Overall, the hotel was dirty and rundown. The night staff who checked us in was not welcoming whatsoever. We got to our room and it was just like the elevator and hallways… stains everywhere, old smelly carpets, hot, bathroom was small, dark, and worn. There was a smell in the room. The bedding was old and used. The place needs a major renovation. It stunk, it was gross and I’d never stay again. We paid a lot of money for the night too. I can look past a lot of things, but cleanliness I cannot. When we’re worried about walking around barefoot after a shower or checking for bugs, there’s a problem. Don’t stay here.

No bed pillows? Sofa pillows 4 on each bed and hard as rock. Heater made terrible noise when it turned on. Delayed lock to get into the room was frustrating

The heater was too noisy at night. The electronic key was not reliable for me. Information about safety information was too small for my senior eyes and there was no information about operating inroom devices. However these are mostly minor issues when compared with the spacious and otherwise high quality of service and accommodation.

The hotel is dated, beside a busy road, no views. Not enough staff at breakfast, long wait for hot food, bread and bagels in plastic bags without tongs for retrieval. Not many food items to choose from. We had a “deluxe” room, but it was very basic. Good internet. Ok staff. Look elsewhere.

Check in staff was great, check out staff member was rude and very lazy/very rude . Had first ferry so needed to be at Ferry for 4:15am and was rude slow and not accommodating once so ever to try and speed up the process to get deposit back. Finally did after wasting over 20-25mins…..I will never go back to Ramada ever in Nanaimo or any city for that matter in my life this staff member ruined this company name for me and anyone I talk to for the rest of my life… Ramada should screen their employees better in the future I’m sure they are loosing lists of business for sure.

Wanted to switch to a balcony room but lady at front desk wasn’t willing to try to accommodate our change. Pointed out we booked on Expedia like it was a bad thing and wasn’t willing to make a change, other staff was amazing

First thing is they charge everyone's credit card extra 100$ and they told us that they will return it if there won't be any damage to the room. We called then after 6.30pm to ask about the room and they said there was no damage. They will return 100$ back And it will take 3-31 days for our credit card company to pay us 100$ back and they don't take it at all. It's already 2 weeks and we didn’t get our 100$ back. Our room was not vaccum properly and we told that to the front desk. The carpets were very stained ask over the hotel. The lift is shaky and it scare everyone.

Checking in (2pm)was not very pleasant. The representative was very abrupt almost rude. She didn't have patience about explaining the $100 incidental charge, when I thought it was all prepaid!! When we asked questions she spoke too soft & fast for my sister to understand as she is hard of hearing!! She was not friendly & am surprised she is in customer service!! (When we saw her later the next day on her shift she seemed a little better, but she still hid in the back!!! None of the other staff did that!! The person during the evening, Sue was totally awesome, very helpful & friendly, gave us some good ideas for dinner & driving the areas. The other lady was good as well taking the time to answer a couple of questions!! The rooms were great comfortable & large, with a fridge & microwave & sink!! Overall worth the cost All a very good breakfast is including including some hot food ☺️

This is a very nice place to stay. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is good. My room was clean and large. The only negative is that the area around the hotel doesn’t feel the safest. If this hotel was in the suburbs it would be awesome

Friendly staff! Great service. Breakfast was simple: cereal, yogurt, fruit, waffel, toast or bagel. Was great for morning coffee and simple breakfast. I booked a balcony room and it was very spacious. Overall satisfied with my stay!
