Nice clean room with a comfortable bed. It would be good to have a dimmer lighting option in the bathroom. The fitness centre has a treadmill, a stationary bike with one pedal and a bench with a few dumbells. The on-site restaurant seems well reviewed but, unless you have time to wait for a table, don't count on eating there.

I love the quality inn for the parking!! The gated and locked underground parking is ideal for my motorcycle. Not only is it secure, but it’s nice to be able to unload or load the bike out of the weather if it’s raining!

New (less than 2 years old per front desk staff) property. Beautiful decor, high ceilings in rooms and well appointed throughout. Only issue is not enough towel racks in bathroom. Breakfast is not included, but the onsite restaurant, The Breakfast Nook, was fantastic and very reasonably priced. There is an underground parking garage, but it only has 25 spaces. Not sure about alternative parking options once the garage is full. Street parking is marked as 2 hours max. Worth inquiring about if you stay during a busy time.

Ill start by saying the staff were very friendly and the property was very nice being fairly new. The room was clean and fairly well appointed for the price. Dining was very limited to a breakfast and lunch at the very small restaurant and fairly pricey for what it was. They offered free coffee and tea in the lobby but most of the time the coffee was no where near being fresh and most often cold. Ild try at 6am and it was probably the freshest then but certainly not "hot", thankfully there was a microwave in the room to heat it up. The parking garage has a very low ceiling so if you drive a truck or larger SUV youll be parking on the street and thats a challenge everyday. I chose this property for the gym but it was a bit of a let down. 1 broken bike, a treadmill that couldnt handle my 200lbs frame running on it, a handfull of dumbells from 5-30lbs and an exorcize ball all packed into a 100sq/ft room. Used it once and ended up at the local rec center instead. All in all this place did the job and i would probably stay again if the need arises.

I thought it was standard for housekeeping to make your bed and replenish toiletries and coffee and such. After two nights stay I had to ask for them to come in and do the housekeeping. When I returned in the afternoon the bed still was not made and the coffee was not there so I had to ask the front desk to have the maid come in and replace the coffee and make the bed. As Petty as that sounds when you spend $150 a night I believe the bed should be made by the housekeeping staff.

The restaurant in the hotel is very good. Staff is very friendly. Room was clean, except bathroom was a little dirty. Lots of homeless in the area, went for a walk and was constantly asked if we had any smokes.

The hotel is okay; clean and the room is spacious. What I didn’t like at all was that after coming back from a long day, the room wasn’t made. It was a Sunday, so I called reception and nobody answered. I went downstairs and the person at the reception said we should have mentioned we wanted the room to be made. Who would not want the room to be made? Also, the mattress is as soft as it can be. If you can’t sleep on a soft mattress, don’t stay here.

Very limited underground parking. Had to park on street as expedition too large to fit in the stall. Very noisy heater right beside the bed going off and on all night. I was dehydrated by morning. Bathroom light was motion sensor. comes on at full intensity in the middle of the night when using the bathroom. Blinding. Limited cable channels. Other than that the bed was comfortable.

Property was very clean and bright. The rooms were spacious and bright but also had room darkening blinds. While the view from our room wasn’t particularly great it was very quiet and clean. The beds were very comfortable and room facilities were good. (Good shower and roomy bathroom.

The lights in the rooms are on motion sensor timers, the bathroom light went out continuously while we were in the shower. The main room light required a room key inserted into a slot to remain turned on, otherwise it turned itself off.

Considering the price, this is a pretty nice hotel. The common areas of the hotel are modern and nicely decorated. The room was clean. I like that the room had vinyl plank flooring rather than carpet. I also thought having a microwave in addition to a mini fridge was convenient.

Slowest check in ever considering we were the only ones needing that service. Front desk had only one speed SLOW Incapable of multi tasking For entrance to the gym you needed a door key to be picked up from the front desk Room fobs did not let you enter

Stayed 4 nights to visit my kids. The room was comfortable and clean, hotel was quiet and the parking was good. Location was perfect for what I needed. The restaurant onsite was excellent. I will definitely stay again. No housekeeping the whole time I was there, but when I asked for some items they happily gave them to me. The front desk wasn’t very friendly but got the job done.

Everything about the Quality Inn was great! Clean, modern…loved that there is no longer carpets and shower curtains! The area was just ok, though the Inn property was well kept. The city of Nanaimo has a huge homeless problem and it does not make you feel safe walking around and exploring.

Excellent value. It’s fairly new so everything feels fresh. For a budget hotel it’s very nice. Free underground parking is a huge bonus. Walkable to restaurants and shops and the waterfront.

Still brand new. Clean and friendly staff. We had a room with the kitchenette which was well stocked. Room had everything needed. Parking is underground but limited. It’s on a first come first serve basis. Not sure where you would park if the parkade was full. Close enough to walk to the downtown area.

This is a top notch hotel. We come to Nanaimo occasionally to visit my son but this is the first time we have stayed at this location. It is now our go to location. Excellent room with many modern features, good breakfast restaurant on site, easy walk to restaurants.
