We recently stayed at the fairfield inn January 2024. Overall the stay was excellent. The free breakfast was always plentiful They had a variety of options (bacon, sausages, cheese omelets, scrambled eggs, waffles, bagels (including gluten free bagels everyday)) and the always replenished before things ran out. The floor we stayed on was quiet. Our room did have a musty/mouldy smell to it when you entered however. But it was otherwise clean. The towels were replaced every day. Had two tvs in the room which was nice so kids could watch their shows and we could watch ours during down time. The hotel had a free shuttle to universal everyday. Four times in morning and 3 times in evening It was quite convenient and picked us up right outside the front doors. There was plenty of fast food options walking distance (burger king is next door, mcdonalds dominos, kfc and taco bell). There were a few restaurants nearby. We went to Carrabba's. It was great. The premium outlets are also close by. A 10minute bus ride away or 30min walk if you are willing to do it. Overall a great hotel and very convenient! Would stay again.

Receive excellent service from the staff at the front desk. The room was clean but very dated and humid, so the carpet was damp. Also, one of the two elevators was down for repairs, which resulted in longer wait times. Still, the location and rate we paid were convenient since it was a short stay.

It was a quiet, comfortable 4 night stay. Every day the room was cleaned and stocked with basic toiletries they offer. They offered a nice stocked HOT breakfast that included scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, croissant sandwiches on certain days, bacon, sausage, juice, yogurt, fruit, waffles etc. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. It had a large area for FREE self parking (NO garage style). They also offer a FREE shuttle to and from Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. It’s a 18-25 minute walk from the theme parks at night if you plan on staying till the parks close. There are several other close by restaurants. It was an overall great experience!

It was a convenient location for us, complimentary breakfast was good, all employees were wonderful, hotel was clean. The thing I didn't like was there was a weird smell in our room, I'm not sure if it was the air conditioner or a cleaner they used and I wish they had a hot tub. Other then that, all was great. I would go back.

I like this hotel, delicious breakfast, great shower, TV has Netflix and Amazon prime, laundry excepts debit/credit cards, awesome location close to pharmacy, gas station, and restaurants, convenient schedule for the shuttle, very nice staff. The only one thing that was a unconvenient is using microwave on the first floor/lobby.

We loved the hot breakfast and it is very close to a number of eating establishments. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room had a mild musty smell to it which my wife and son noticed although I didn’t notice it. I had seen previous reviews mentioning this. The staff had already allowed us to switch rooms as the first room we entered had a stronger smell. We kept the bathroom fan going during our stay and the smell wasn’t as noticeable after the first day of a five day stay.

Pros: Perfect spot for my Universal trip. Complimentary breakfast in the Am. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Cons: My room smelled musty like a wet carpet. Very strong too. Toilet easily clogged and I needed a plunger from the front desk. Kind of embarrassing. Room window was lit up very bright by an outside light for the pool. Very bright when trying to sleep even with the blinds closed. I would stay here again. I didn’t complain about the room smell because it was only for 2 days. But I def would have if it was a longer stay.

Room smelled like mildew. Pulled bed from couch and it was covered in mildew/mold. Reported it and asked to change the couch bed or rooms. They were unable to accommodate with either and since we paid in advance there was no refund/cancelation.

Right after we entered the room on our first day, there were huge cockroaches. Had to call the front desk to have someone come to take care of it. Then the bottom of the toilet was leaking rust all over the floor. I’ve stayed at other Fairfield locations before, but this experience was not what was expected from a Marriot chain.

I decided to opt out of staying at a Universal property this go around and I’m happy I went with this option! Very clean, free parking and minutes from all the universal parks. Very convenient option at a great price point and everyone working there was very kind! Will be staying here in the future when I travel to universal parks

The carpet in my room, the windows and the bathroom were not clean. I had to wear my sandals all the time inside the room because the carpet was nasty. The hotel is very old and needs some renovations. Good location but overall not a great stay.

Hotel smelled like disinfectant. Never cleaned room. Phone in room did not work. Maintenance man said needed while new line installed. Not done while here. I had to remove garbage and used towels in hallway and go to front desk for new towels, soaps and coffee supplies.we stayed two nights

We could walk to Universal. The free breakfast ran out of eggs by 8 am. We had to use the couch bed and it was very uncomfortable but we were able to get more bedding which did help a bit. Could walk across the parking lot to Miller's Ale, great prices and good food.

The Bad: The black lady at the front desk was not a people person. She didn't make you feel valued. She was too busy on her cell phone, and rude. The room they gave us had a mildew smell as soon as you opened the door. And the cleaning person left black hairs stuck to the shower walls- Gross! The Good: exterior of the hotel was nice and bright and inviting. Breakfast was fantastic. The lobby was very clean and neat. But the front desk lady and our room... not acceptable

The staff was phenomenal. Jessica went above and beyond in our stay, she is a keeper. We will make staying there a regular thing when we are spending our weekend at Universal. We are premium pass holders, yet enjoy our stay there verses the affordable Universal properties.

Staff was so friendly. The breakfast was delicious and hot every day of our stay. When they cleaned our room when we were out at the parks they arranged the kids stuffys on the bed it was really cute.

Clean hotel in good location. Better than average hot breakfast with good coffee. Walgreens and multiple restaurants in parking lot. It is within walking distance for a relatively athletic person. They do provide a shuttle (shared with the hotel next door) for drop off and pick up. The earliest shuttle is 7:40am the latest back is 8:40pm, first come first serve. If you are staying in Universal later in the evening I would suggest a rideshare (the path is very dark at night). Lyft service from MCO to the Fairfield Inn was $53 and took about 30 minutes. Lyft service from Universal to SFB was $45 and took about 40 minutes.

The location of the property to Universal Studios and City Walk is perfect! You can walk or drive it's that close. There are several great options for lunches and dinners in the area and a walgreens for those things you forgot.
