The twin room was spacious with a good en-suite, a fridge, coffee maker and kettle. There is a roof-terrace bar with excellent views of the City and cathedral which serves very good snacks. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it was busy when we walked by. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Gloucester, 5 minutes from the train station and the cathedral, 2minutes from the bus station and main shopping streets. It's about 10minutes to walk to the Quays. The staff were friendly and efficient.

I recently stayed at Hotel Indigo Gloucester and was genuinely impressed. The hotel is spotlessly clean, beautifully modern, and thoughtfully equipped (they even provide brollies, which was such a nice touch). The reception staff were super friendly, and our waitress at dinner was lovely, making the evening feel relaxed and welcoming. Dinner itself was enjoyable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt fresh and comfortable. There were a couple of service issues worth mentioning. Breakfast was quite slow — I waited 30 minutes just for a cup of tea, and the team didn’t seem fully in sync. At one point I overheard a manager speaking sharply and dressing down an employee, which felt uncomfortable as a guest, (more so for him I’me sire). Later that evening, drinks in the restaurant took over 40 minutes to arrive, which was surprising given how good the dinner service itself was. Overall, though, this is a clean, modern, and stylish hotel with excellent staff in most areas, and I would stay again, especially if the restaurant becomes more coordinated.

Lovely hotel and food was great but the service at both dinner and breakfast was terrible. Very slow service. No system in place. Drink orders left on counter and had to remind staff of orders
