Very disappointed with this La Quinta location. We choose this place for one reason—we needed a shuttle to and from the airport. I had even called three days prior to our stay to confirm how to call for the shuttle. We were able to get a ride from the airport, but were informed on our arrival that the shuttle was being discontinued as of that day, despite their website listing which showed airport transportation as included (and this continued to be shown on the following day as well). The check-in staff were absolutely uncooperative and defiant and only reluctantly summoned the assistant manager to hear our complaint. Both adamantly refused to do anything to accommodate our need. Had they informed us prior to our visit that airport transportation would not be available, we would have chosen a different hotel. We do not recommend this La Quinta location.

The elevator is broken. You can't take it down to the first floor. I was traveling with my limited mobility mother so I had to run down the stairs and press the call button on the first floor. I hope it's fixed soon. I wish we had been informed in advance. We would have stayed elsewhere. In addition, there was not any cold water in our sink. We'd lift the handle and nothing. So we would move it over until water came on. And then it was scalding hot. It was an absolute safety concern. I mentioned this to the front desk and it was shrugged off. They said they would let maintenance know but not sure how often maintenance is in. Lastly, the room felt really worn. The carpet had a sticky section, paint was chipping off the wall, the furniture had scratches and dings. There was also a lot of road noise. The AC was excellent. So there was that.

The eggs, sausage, coffee, juice, butter, waffles are ready nice, and early, at 6:00 a.m. The hotel was nice, and everyone loved my fur baby, Prince. Staff wanted to keep him, he is a sweetheart. I skipped the pool, but I worked out in the fitness center.

The property was really good compared to others I've can across in Virginia.. I had a basic 2 bed room.. I cannot complain I saw people cleaning everyday.. The place is pretty friendly and the continental breakfast was nice.. Indoor pool was standard but nice to have.. I'll stay again for sure.

The airport shuttle was a major convenience for this location. You could easily walk to shops like Target half a mile away. The service was great at all hours and the facility was quiet and clean. I had an overall great experience staying here.

Stayed for football tournament and other then location being convenient to places it was a nightmare! Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at to start let see the ladies at the front desk very unpleasant no hi hello how can i help you nothing other then stating she needed a card for deposit that was it. There is only 1 elevator that definitely needs maintenance update and the the pool is disgusting my 6yr old loves to swim and she is the reason I always get a place with a pool took her to try and swim during our stay and she immediately looked at me and said mommy im not getting in there its nasty and it Absolutely was.. As for the rooms where to begin.... rust all in the shower handle in the shower was broke .. curtins were filthy sheets definitely do not get washed properly thank god we brought blanks and pillow cases the refrigerator in the room did not work just leaks water we ended up having to waste so much food because we had no way to keep it cold and the HUGE ISSUE WAS AT 2AM A ROACH WAS IN MY BED!!!

Great stay but it should have had more than 1 elevator for the entire hotel. Lots of waiting and people getting on thinking it was going down when it was going up!!

My room was not clean there was dog poop under the bed. The room had a funny smell that’s why I started looking around and found the poop. The front desk lady was so nice and she changed my room. The next room was a little bit cleaner. But under the bed was not clean. Old cups and food wrapper was found under the beds. But no poop. The pool was closed around 7pm. Don’t know why.

There was feces outside of the front door for the entirety of my stay.. I notified staff multiple times and nothing changed. The entire hotel was incredibly dirty- there were full trash cans that i assume housekeeping was supposed to move but they were next to the elevator by the lobby the whole time. The carpet in my room was sticky and damp as well. On the first day in the AFTERNOON! a roach crawled on the nightstand and when I went to react another one jumped on the bed. I cannot make this up it was so nasty. the toilet didn’t flush, the shower had hair in it, and this is literally just a few of the things. I was in town for a wedding and it was such a horrible stay. Also, i don’t generally leave reviews i’m just so surprised that this place is able to be open.

The hotel was very dirty, almost as if it hadn’t been cleaned prior to us arriving. The shower curtain had mold, the wallls had throw up or something on them, and random hairs found when drying myself with a “clean towel” after showering. The front desk was not helpful whatsoever, I asked for a key to our room he denied me of it but gave me new towels and a shower curtain to put up myself. Definitely won’t be staying here again.

Not very clean. Grey moldy areas and caked on brown splotches on walls. Not very quiet. Could easily hear other guests. Did not check out pool or breakfast, but would not stay again. Far too high a price for quality.

My stay was okay. I had two beds and when i turned the sheets back i could immediately see stains on them & i then noticed the dirty place where whoever slept there before had laid. I could tell they didn't change the sheets on the bed from the last person. Good thing my other bed was clean 3it was just me. The lighting is poor so for someone else it may have been easily overlooked but wit my phone flashlight it was easy to see.

My stay was excellent. Was only at LaQuinta Inn for one night as we were flying out of Norfolk on an early morning flight but it was an enjoyable stay. The room was super clean which is what I look for most in a room! Also the cost of the stay was very budget friendly. Next time I am in area I would stay there again and will highly recommend.

When we first got into the room it appeared to be clean. The room was spacious, no odor, and looked as if it had been renovated. But once everything got quiet that’s when the unwanted visitors came out. My husband had to kill two roaches. Now those are the ones we saw.

The bathroom had mold in it all the way around the shower. And I took pictures and the drained stupper, which was supposed to be inside. The drain was outside in the cornert was unbelievably disgusting and it was stains all over the sheets. And the noise at night was horrific Pounding consistently. Nothing was done I would not recommend this property for anybody And I had reservations for 2 days I only stayed one I would like to get a full refund for the night. I was there and I had pictures upon requests if you need.

Check in was easy. However the neighbors on both sides of our room were extremely LOUD! Blasting music late into the night and EARLY in the morning. 7am! They were running up and down the hall their kids were banging and kicking on the door to their room. It was very annoying but since I was only staying a few nights I just ignored it and went to sleep with AirPods in.

Second time I've stayed here. Second time folks above me stomping on ceiling, loudly. It is always noisy above. What the heck is goi g on, on the fourth floor?! I will not return. Person didn't dump trash first night. No towels, as I requested. Leakly tub faucet that after switch out still leaked. Breakfast drinks watered down.

I have stayed here a few times and the staff really makes the place! Always extra helpful and friendly. Being so close to the airport there's not a lot around but I'm staying here for the aiport convenience anyway. It's clean and comfortable!

The front desk staff is the worst I've ever encountered in all of my years traveling. I understand it’s a Wyndham brand..however, basic things weren’t even met as far as hospitality and customer service. Not a single person had on a name tag, no professionalism, everyone had attitudes, everyone sitting down entire shift, answering the phone with no introduction of hotel name, their name, good morning/evening/afternoon ..Nothing. The ONLY staff I’ve encountered as far as front desk that was upbeat, great energy and helpful was the asst manager man. I Didn't get his name either unfortunately no name tag but he was great. The rest of the staff seemed as if they were on guard, hated their job, had an attitude, just woke up definitely not approachable..I can go on but outside of that the room was decent and location was convenient to everything.

The front desk staff was not the most professional. Customer service, let alone providing “good” customer service, was not an objective for them. They treated us as if we were an inconvenience. There were not enough towels upon our arrival. It was expressed that they come prepared for such instances and bring their own when they’re traveling. Considering the circumstances we were traveling under (bereavement) and the distance we’d driven (13hrs) there is NO excuse for not having towels available for a check in that identified 4 people would be in the room. Independent of the circumstances, as a PAYING guest, we should not have been denied the BASICS that come with renting a room. Not only did we have to find another means of bathing or wait until the following morning after a 13hour drive, they weren’t even apologetic and a concession wasn’t even a consideration. When we did receive towels, a few were stained and appeared unclean and when asked to swap them out, it was another expression of annoyance from the front desk staff. The cleanliness of the hotel was poor, at best. Curtains were terribly soiled and there was so much build up around the grout areas of the bathroom floor from a lack of proper cleaning I didn’t even feel comfortable removing my shoes. This was a very bad lodging experience and not what I would expect from a Wyndham property. I’m hoping to give them another chance at another location because I will NEVER return to the NORFOLK one!

The staff was extremely helpful. We had gotten off a cruise ship at about 9am. I called to see about early check in and the front desk person that answered said they couldn't guarantee they could accommodate and there could be a fee. When we arrived a young lady with very short hair (sorry I don't remember your name!) helped us check in. Not only did she keep us check in early around 11am (at no additional cost charged that I'm aware of) she was kind enough to let me use the locked lobby bathroom while we waited for a room. That's A customer service!

We really like a good breakfast so we look for this in a hotel. The woman who runs the kitchen breakfast area was really attentive and the tables were clean, the food was fully stocked. I was put off by the artificial texture of the eggs which were spongy, water based and not very tasty. The other items were adequate including the waffles. The juice machine had some dispensing/leakage problem that made me just get water. Front desk was ok. The super bright white overhead lighting above the front desk is very harsh at night when coming in from driving at night. Woman who checked us in and did not look up from her display seemed to have a cold and wiped her stuffy nose with her hand then immediately took my license to check us in. The parking was fine and close to the entrance. The room was clean and comfortable but the wife noticed pretty constant overhead jet noise till 10 pm when the nearby airport traffic abated. The location was close to the interstate which was good but a challenge to get back to when I overshot the entrance drive. The price was $20 better than our nearby favorite hotel, however, we liked the breakfast better at our favorite and matched the price by reserving earlier for our next trip to the area.

Depending on which way you come from, getting in to the parking lot can be tricky. If you are traveling past the Hotel towards the Airport, the traffic situation at the next intersection is a nightmare. If you can go the opposite direction, there is plenty of food and shopping. Actual Hotel rating is excellent with great pricing.

The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The mattress seemed newer and comfortably firm. The complimentary breakfast area was clean and well kept during the time breakfast was available. A big shoutout is deserved for the staff who kept everything stocked and tidy! Well done all around!

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The two gentlemen who prepared the morning breakfast were very good. The food area and the tables were also clean. And the buffet was never empty, there was always something on the trays and plates.

The bed was very comfortable, and I liked that the view from my window was of trees and houses. I also appreciated that the room was so dark and quiet at night--very helpful to be able to sleep. The breakfast left a lot to be desired, though. Please provide some healthy options and options for people with food allergies to dairy. Offer healthy cereal like raisin bran, oatmeal packets, hard boiled eggs, and soy milk. I'm glad I brought oatmeal packets with me or I would have only been able to eat the bagels and meat. On Monday, I saw people asking for milk and yogurt and told that there was no more. That is not acceptable. The person ordering food supplies needs to do a better job and be allotted more money to spend on food for guests.

Had a good stay and the check in staff was super friendly. However, we did find an empty chip and a used towel on the back of the bathroom door… Makes me wonder how deeply they clean the rooms… Also make sure you get to breakfast on time because even if you are in the middle of making your food, they will unplug the machines and be ready to kick you out!
