Atlantic Beach Resort

It was a good stay. Only issue was the indoor pool was so cold we couldn’t swim as it wasn’t heated, hot tub was nice. Room was nice and clean.

Excellent location. Easy parking but with a daily 9 dollar fee. Clean. Nice gym. Easy walk to the beach when parked near the beach access. Not a problem to get a space end of April/early May when we went. Loved the beach. Took a ferry to Shackleford Island from nearby Beaufort and had a nice few hours on its secluded beach with the wild ponies roaming near. Brought lunch and chairs. Nice afternoon. Had dinner in Beaufort after. Ferry staff very helpful with recommending Beaufort dining options. Unit was clean and comfortable Appears to have had some updates. Three stars is accurate for the property —it gets a five star rating for its class.

Rooms were great! Pools were great. Mini golf area is very sad and basketball goals need to be repaired or replaced.

Checkin gentleman was extremely helpful. Disappointed splash pad wasn’t working . Over all great stay. Nice facility.

Large condo unit that was well equipped and comfortable. Large outdoor and indoor pool. Hot tub not working well and mini golf course was in terrible condition.

Great stay. Large rooms, 2 outdoor pools were perfect. We went to hot tub at night. Walkable to a few restaurants or less than 5 mins drive to lots more. It had beach access so no car needed which was very convenient.

Would definitely recommend this place, only downfall if I'm being critical was that the shower supplies located on the wall of the shower were not filled and the body wash was missing. But otherwise very good, nice updated rooms, lots of amenities which we partook in the indoor pool, hot tub and middle outdoor pool.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Had 5 people total to include my husband and 3 children. The 2 bed room villa had more than enough space. The property has 2 outdoor pools, indoor pool, and sauna as well as a tennis court, playground, picnic area and many other outdoor amenities. We will definately stay at this property for our future Atlantic Beach trips.

2 outdoor pools but only one was usable during our 3 day stay. Pool furniture in disrepair at the one pool. Limited pool furniture. Parking was a nightmare. 5 gas vehicle spaces available at our corner building and 4 electric. No electric cars during our 3 day stay. I was issued a warning for parking beside the electric space and the security guard put a warning sticker on the drivers side window that left glue on my window. I had to driver like that for 2 hr until I reached home. Very unsafe!! Indoor pool was awful. Large crowd smoking and drinking at the entrance and the smell carried on inside the pool area. Only a handful of outlets worked in room. 4 towels for 6 people. Don’t recommend!!

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room and the amount of amenities - 3 pools, jacuzzi, tennis/pickle ball courts, basketball court, laundry facilities, workout room. For families it also has a kids playground and small putt-putt course. The unit had a full kitchen, although we didn't plan on fixing meals. 😀 The beach was right across a small alleyway and there were multiple restaurants within walking distance. We'll definitely return there when staying at Atlantic Beach!

The suites are spacious. Pools and outdoor common areas are well maintained. This entire property is lacking preventative maintenance, both interior and exterior. I spoke with the front desk staff, maintenance and cleaning staff individually about these issues. The primary issue, which was never resolved, was the cleanliness and air quality of our suite. The HVAC coil was covered in dust and mildew; air filter was so dirty it was black. The drip pan below coil had stagnant sludge in it and drain was clogged. The smell was so bad that we weren’t able to use the A/C for 2 nights. I explained to the front desk staff that our 7 year old has allergies, so we would not be able to use the A/C. There response was to offer us another suite with equally dirty HVAC. Which they blamed on a hurricane from almost 6 years ago? I have attempted to contact LA Tour regarding this matter and they have not responded. I expect to be fully reimbursed for the stay and may choose to pursue further action after our daughter is examined by her physician.

Not what i expected; rooms need a deep cleaning. A/c vents need a good cleaning

I booked this as a weekend getaway. It's definitely more of a family- friendly resort property. I was looking more for ocean-front. There were no ocean views. That was my biggest disappointment. Overall, the rooms were nice, comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. I would recommend if you're coming with a family for a week, and want on property things to do, or even for a larger trip.

Our 2 bedroom unit could have and should have been cleaned better. Little things like the return vent was full of dirt. I had to sweep and clean. The front door had a good size gap to which bugs or rodents could get inside the unit. Upon our exit, we made sure the room was cleaned with the exception of dirty linen and towels. However, if we return I would have to reconsider them, it could have been worse.

It was dirty and noisy. And I went to pay the fee for my pets dogs and told the lady that the shower was not clean if she could send somebody to clean and they didn’t they just brought us more towels and left them by the door. And the balcony it looks like they haven’t cleaned for years too. There was hand prints in the glass door to go out to the balcony. The kitchen I had it to wipe down the counter and the stove. And there were spiders too. Definitely not staying here again. The place looks decent but they need to clean and fumigate everything for the spiders and mosquitoes it was bad.

Everything was very clean and well maintained. We definitely will be staying there again and highly recommend you to check it out.

Walked in and roach is on the wall.Furniture is is not clean had to lay towels on it to sit on it.Had a general feeling of uncleaness. Could not sleep kids stomping and running til late up stairs. Blinds on patio door slats broke hanging loose.

I liked that the rooms were big and had kitchen with all needed items. Check out instructions were easy. I liked that the staff were in communication with me and I was able to text them if I needed anything. I liked that they took care of everything when requested. I disliked that the bed sheets for the 3 rooms I booked were dirty. The sofa bed mattress were old and dirty as well.

Our apartment/condo had an odor of stale, musty, mildew. We were unable to sit on the sofa and/or chairs in the living room area due to them being filthy and stinking.

Our room was literally disgusting. We mopped the floor and the floor was still black in places. No soap in bathrooms. Couldn’t find any remotes in room for tvs. Beds were comfy and clean.

Loved this location, wished it was more ocean front but it was excellent!

Very noisy, any walking or small kids jumping on floors above is very annoying. From 8a-11p there was constant noise on floor above us. Not relaxing and would not stay again unless on top floor.

No extra blankets and the kitchen wasnt well equipped, we had 2 forks. Layout wasnt what was shown and the sliding glass door was extremely hard to close.

Our family of 4 enjoyed a nice 2 night, 3 day beach vacation thanks to the resort. Our condo was very clean and exceeded any expectations I had considering the price was a steal in comparison to others in the area. The entire unit was nice, updated, and comfortable. The king bed was a bit on the firm side (perfect for me but my husband prefers a bit softer). My teenager said the pull out couch was the best one he's ever slept on. We saved money by bringing food for breakfast and lunch and the complete kitchen allowed us to prepare all our meals. The staff was very kind and helpful with answering questions and giving suggestions. The amenities were great. The pools were clean and fun and we enjoyed the little putt putt course. We did notice that many lights around the property at night weren't working and a few other things needed repairs (gate, pool side cement, structures on putt putt course). Overall our stay was excellent and we will definitely book again for our next trip to Atlantic Beach.

Rooms were nice and clean, beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was a plus. Felt like a home away from home. Not to far of a walk away from the beach either. Will definitely be back.

This place was an amazing stay for the money. I booked a two night stay without much research and it exceeded our expectations. I was expecting a hotel room and ended up been a repurposed time share which is great. We booked one bedroom apartment which was very large and comfortable. had a king size bed and plenty of storage for clothes etc. Full kitchen and a good size living room with a sleeper sofa. The balcony was small but is was right in front of the hot tubs. The place got 3 pools, tennis and basketball courts, fire pit and even minigolf. Access to the beach is a short walk maybe some 8 mins max. Also close enough to outside amenities like restaurants , stores , ort Macon and the Aquarium. Only three things i didnt like, one i had to pay extra for the parking lot , two check in is late at 4pm and check out early at 10am but i guess they need to give housekeeping enough time since the place is so big , and third apartments with door to the next door apt you can hear everything they do and say like there's no wall in between but other than that the place is great. Already planning my next stay.

Pros: the location was really good. Pretty close to everything you'd want to do in the area. Walking distance to the beach with a nice access area. Two outdoor pools, one indoor and a hot tub. Cons: very, very noisy. They put the hotel stays at the back of the property as the time share people are toward the front. Our bedroom was probably 50 feet from the main road and you could hear every car passing by. Very, Very noisy. Extremely thin walls. We could hear everything the guests beside us were doing. Wasn't a huge issue as they weren't terribly loud but I could see it being a problem if you had loud guests beside or above you. We'll probably try a different place next time we visit.

Our rooms were "roomy" and comfortable. The only negatives: the dishwasher is LOUD, the elevator isn't in a convenient location, and the master bedroom does not have a door between the bedroom and the sink/washing area (anyone who gets-up at night (and turns-on the light) will shine a bright light onto their partner in the bed)!

Great location right near the beach. A quick walk on a nice pathway to get to the Atlantic. Our room was fully stocked with kitchen two bedrooms and two patios. The beds were very comfortable. My only request would be to have smart TVs so we could log into our own accounts. Well done! We will be back

there was no one available at 8pm to check in all the people who arrived late from the storm finally getting over. they leave the front desk at 7pm!! who ever heard of such a ridiculously early front desk closing. the security person had to check everyone in and he was alone and way over whelmed. my room was as far away from the beach access as they possibly could have put me. we had to drive to the beach actually since the property is very large.

Customer service is terrible. Over the phone and in person. Don’t expect to check in early for any reason at all. We arrived really early (our problem, I know) and we were able to use the amenities. The girl at the front desk told me if I didn’t get a text for check in by 4pm then to come to the check in building and remind them because sometimes they get busy. If they didn’t wait to check people in all at one time, they’d move a little quicker. We asked the man at the front desk to hold our daughters birthday cake so it didn’t melt in the car and we got a snarky look. When we finally did check in, I had to go up there. People were walking out with key cards but was told ours wasn’t ready. When it was ready, I was handed key cards and the man didn’t even speak.. no check out time information, nothing. The security guard was very helpful and friendly when we left our key in the room. Paying for parking is absolutely ridiculous - this isn’t NYC. When checking out we had the same man. Only asked what we needed and when I told him we were checking out all he held out his hand and walk away. No “how was your stay? Have a day” NOTHING. We were on the first floor and the people above us had children that ran from one end of the condo to the other from 8-12AM. Room was clean on arrival but outside on the table there was a dirty q-tip and a used paper towel. It’s really sad how much this place has gone down hill. We grew up here when it was Peppertree on 2 timeshare weeks. Never again

There are no signs showing this is a Ramada or Wyndham owned property. Only sign says "Peppertree Atlantic Beach Villas" which felt a little shady. Got there at night and was very confused. Finally followed check-in signs and both the front and rear doors of the front desk were locked. You're apparently supposed to call the security number in this situation which we found out from a guy at a "guard" booth. That being said, the room was welcome surprise and very spacious and the buildings were in good shape so I'd possibly give it another chance. Not really sure what the management situation really is.

Our AC in the unit was out during a week with temps in mid 90s. We were not offered a room change until we had to call security on the 4th night. Each day, they would send someone out to reset the system, it would run for a couple hours then shut off again. Management was not responsive to our concerns. Only the after hours security guys were of any help. Its still a great beach so we made the best of it, but decided to leave 1 day early.

They were very friendly and helpful. Anytime I needed something or didn't understand something they were kind in explaining it to me and getting me what I needed

The staff was very friendly and checked on us multiple times. Big, clean rooms. And great access to the beach.

Have stayed several times and always very pleased, staff worked hard to accommodate a special request, will definitely stay again!

I was supposed to check in by 4. Got there early, still didn’t get my room until 4:45. The Male desk clerk was rude, and didn’t know how to handle a touchy subject about the room! Also to have to pay for parking at a place you already PREPAID TO STAY IS A DUMB MOVE! There was never any person at security guard station! And outside people coming into an Establishment like that for party or whatever, and guests were not told ahead of time! Interrupted nice pool time with paying customers and took over and were loud and obnoxious. I will say also THE POOL WAS NOT CLEAN EACH MORNING. Bugs and dirt floating, outside pool

Sherrina our housekeeper was excellent and the property was clean and better than expected. The front desk people was nice and explained everything clearly. There housekeeping department provided extra towels when needed

While the beach and beach access was nice, the resort itself was not the best. Check in was a nightmare. With little to no directions provided ahead of time- we arrived late and spent 30 mins in the dark trying to find someone to check us in. There isn’t a sign for the resort and the security guard we finally found wandering the parking lot couldn’t tell us if we were at the right location. We ended up with a ground floor unit at the back of the property that had dingy furniture and was over run with flies. Also the bathroom shower in the master flooded the bathroom with each shower. The pools were not well maintained either.

Great location, with lots to do on the property. 5 minute walk to the beach. Lots to do in nearby towns. Rooms are very clean...Side note the walls are very thin....

Its super close to the beach but not so close that you get caught up in traffic or other shenanigans going on in the area.

Easy access to beach

The room was very spacious and having a full kitchen was amazing. We have stayed here before and had really close access to the beach. Didn’t realize there was only one access point, and since we stayed on the other side of the resort, the beach access was pretty far. Other than that it was great. We love having views of the ocean from the room, so for that reason we probably won’t make this our first choice in the future. If that isn’t a priority for you, then this is a great place.

It was not s resort and not on the beach. You had to pack your car and drive to parking and walk over a street and boardwalk to get there. When we arrived we had to load up a luggage cart and drag it thru 3 glass doors and ride and elevator to our floor. The building walls abd floors are thin as can be and you hear everything. People checked in at 2:30am above us and woke us up as they took 45 minutes to get settled. Avoid this place at all costs. There are better places to stay on the island. Way over priced!
