Hotel is a bit tired. Elevators are always busy, need a couple more. Restaurant was not accessible, wish I had known that as we were a party of 8. Molly’s Tiki bar is ridiculously priced and not very comfortable. Staff was attentive. There was a big ice cooler near pool area, assuming you could buy bags of ice to bring to the beach, it was completely empty….. what a tease! Pool was decent, plenty of seating, very few umbrellas for shade.

I agree with many of the other reviews I see. Nice and close to the beach. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, but it's still over priced. Should provide beach chairs and umbrellas for these prices. Pool water is a bit cloudy and the pool could use a good cleaning. Do yourself a favor, skip Molly's-- terrible food and service. I heard a few guest complaining about "partial ocean view"..ha..not if you're on the 2nd, 3rd floor. Overall, the most expensive place on the beach and it's not the best.

Great hotel. Nice access to the beach and pier. Indoor restaurant is nice but it's only open for breakfast, and the lunch and dinner options are ok, but they are by the outdoor pool. So, if the weather permits, you can have lunch/dinner onsite. If not, do your research and you'll find a few sit-down options pretty close. Also, there are no laundry facilities, and the only laundromat is a few miles away on the mainland. Wonderful pools and hot tub. Well maintained. Hotel is dog-friendly, so you'll see many critters around. Overall, great experience, and I would recommend.

For an older hotel directly on the beach this hotel is just fine. The air-conditioning works, the beds are good and the showers are good. A very nice feature of this hotel is the restaurant Molly’s on the beach. Great place to get coffee.

While our overall stay was enjoyable, we experienced a serious issue that impacted our visit. My family — including my young niece who was understandably terrified — became stuck in the elevator. Based on the staff’s reaction, it was apparent this wasn’t an isolated issue, and the elevator was subsequently shut down for the remainder of our stay. Unfortunately, this meant relying on the stairs for the rest of the trip, which was a significant inconvenience. We stayed one night only. Our room had a soaked carpet from the beds to the hallway to the bathroom door in the two bed suite. The maintenance crew worked in our room for over an hour which was a inconvenience with my son with autism and health conditions. They exposed mold and made a mess. Were very loud. Never fixed the problem. The front desk employee Chris was very rude. He literally yelled at me and made me cry when I was trying to find another option to get out of the soaked carpet and mold room. He offered me no options so we slept in the room and by morning the carpet was soaked even more. Chris was rude and doesn’t need to work the front desk. The head of house keeping was very sweet. Brandy the next morning at the front desk was understanding and gave us a email address to contact the GM to see if he’d give us some money back. We paid over $511 dollars for 1 night last minute because we are local and our home was being worked on. Wasn’t worth any money being we breathed in mold and walked in a soaked moldy carpet. We were mostly disappointed that the front desk worker Chris was so non caring. He made the situation worse. We won’t be back with mold in the ceiling, walk, and carpet.

I was very disappointed that 1 of the 4 rooms I booked had a large roach one the light fixture in the bathroom, I brought this to the front desk attention right after we checked in on Friday and was promised that maintenance will take care of it @shirtly” but when we checked out Sunday, the roach was still there.

Nice property with everything u need for a good time. Back parking area had lots of litter blowing around. Had to ask to have the overflowing dog station emptied and no bags were available. Smokers many of them staffers were constantly at the back door parking area and butts were everywhere. The big hot tub was nothing more than a kiddie pool, it was always full of kids playing and not really available to relaxe in. The tv in our room constantly locked up and froze. After maintenance tried fixing it 3 times we had to move to a new room. The new room has the same issues and we just gave up on it. The staff was always friendly and helpful.

There was ample parking, spacious lobby, easy access to amenities, pier and right on the beach. The restaurant was very convenient and there were swim options with the in and outdoor pools. The room with a partial view of the ocean was great. The drawbacks: there wasn’t much of a balcony for that room and a large roach made an appearance (it was taken care of by maintenance who also sprayed). Overall, I would stay there again.

I stayed at this property as it was labeled 3 stars. There were hairs in the tub and sink, the ceiling was barely holding together, the room smelled of mold, and my tub didn’t drain. The staff did rectify the drainage issue the next morning. Though the property is in a great location, I would not return solely due to the cleanliness and state of the hotel.

916-Positives: The front desk staff was nice. The bathroom was clean. I enjoyed the room overall and the TV options. Negatives: This is a pet friendly hotel. We did have guests in the room beside us that had dogs and we did hear some barking, thankfully not too much. I do think that if they are a pet friendly hotel it makes sense to keep all the pet owners in the same area so that they are not disturbing other guests. Overall the room was clean but I did notice a roach on the wall and some stains on my covers. We did pay for an ocean view but when arrived it seemed more like a partial ocean view. The direct view looked out over the parking lot and we had to turn to the left to truly view the ocean. When I did mention this to the front desk the general manager Jerry stated this was a typical ocean view room. I disagree. We ordered room service from Prime 1079 restaurant. It was taking a while to receive our food so I did call and was told they had mixed up receipts and forgot which room to bring the order too. They apologized and then brought up the food quickly after correcting the error. My husband enjoyed his steak but the shrimp was over cooked and rubbery. After we were promised late check out at 12, we went to the beach and returned around 11am. When we returned housekeeping already had the room door open and was cleaning the room anyway. Our two waters were missing out of the fridge but front desk did replace when we told them what happened on the way out. So-So stay.

Absolutely disgusting. I found roaches in my room and immediately called the front desk to report it. Instead of offering any sort of help or apology, the person I spoke with—Valerie—hung up on me. The lack of professionalism and concern was shocking. Clearly, cleanliness and customer service are not a priority here. I will never be back, and I’d strongly advise others to stay far away.

Great location needs some major remodel work. We were there when a big storm came in which we love BUT the windows and sliding doors whistled SO loud tou couldnt sleep. And the balcony railings were pretty loud too shaking in the wind. AC was also loud so good luck sleeping. With some renovations it could be a great place like it used to be

Balcony was very shallow - not wide enough to sit comfortably on. The threshhold of the glass sliding doors leading out to the balcony is an unmarked tripping hazard. The spacing of the bars out on the balcony is too wide. TV had few channels available without extra charge.

We enjoyed our stay but were a bit disappointed by what the hotel considered "ocean view" and having a balcony. The balconies - at least ours - are teenie tiny. No way two adults could sit out there and enjoy the view. They don't even provide balcony chairs. Only one elevator was working, and it even sounded iffy, creaking and banging. We were there for 3 days and never noticed anyone working on the broken one. Our room was on the top floor, so we depended on it. The great things: location is excellent, as it's literally right on the beach with easy, free parking and has a really nice full-service outdoor bar area - Molly's. It didn't seem like many people used the indoor restaurant, but the food was very good. The pools - indoor and out - looked well maintained. If you're a Hilton Honors member looking to build or/redeem points, you'll most likely be happy with the hotel.

Love that it was oceanfront! Incredible views! Bathroom had awkward space and terrible lighting. The carpet felt dirty and gross. Other than that it was very convenient great amenities! The view was top notch!

Just a mean men working on the front desk. He was actually very nice with the person in front of me, explaining her everything that she needed to know about the place snd telling her they could leave the room an hour later than what it should be. And when it was my turn he acted very rude I think you should use the same courtesy with all guests!

I booked thru Expedia thinking was booking thru Double Tree Hilton. First time doing third party. Never again. I mistakenly booked the wrong dates and immediately responded on date to have checked in to Expedia as they wanted to know how my stay was going. I ket them know had wrong date and could they modify the dates til next week. Neither party woukd do so. Mistakes happen and policies can be overridden. Expedia would if Doubletree Hilton would authorize but Jerry at resort said was firm and under no circumstance could he refund or adjust the dates. They got their pay and I get nothing.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were very clean. Pub food and drinks were great. We had a 10 week out baby with us and it went very smoothly. Booked to return in August!! Only issue was the last night the ac went out. They very quickly sent up the maintenance and he fixed it but it went out again late in the night. Facility was not able to credit me for my inconvenience due to booking through Expedia.

Oceanview rooms are on side of building and you can see some of the ocean. Oceanfront rooms are in back and face the ocean completely. Morning breakfast that was not pre-paid was $15 for the breakfast buffet. Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle, Morehead City to Jacksonville, NC were not really a big tourist area, so activities on a rainy day are limited. The beach itself was very clean and the hotel had it's own pier to walk out on. No fishing from the pier. There is an outdoor pool and bar area for warmer weather periods. All in all, it was a good stay for us and would be a good place for a couple days but probably not a whole week seeing activities are limited in the area.

I really liked how self contained the property is. The beach, a pier, a snack shop/bar (Molly's), a pool, and a restaurant are all amenities. It is close by to attractions like Fort Macon and the Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. It was a wonderful weekend getaway!

The hotel was nice. The employees were friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the cookie I was given when I checked in. You really have to be a beach person to stay here because there's not much to do around the hotel except go to the aquarium nearby. Breakfast was awful it's pretty much standard hotel food they passed off as buffet. I had a nice trip overall.

The actual property was great. I was really disappointed in the dining option at the resort. The waitress and hostess were great though. I did not think dinner was worth the price and they didn’t have a wide variety of options on the menu for how expensive it was. My husband and I were in a get away together and thought it would be nice to just stay at the hotel and eat. Very disappointed in the food. The soup we had tasted like canned soup. If they switched that and made it better, I would give the hotel 5 stars. Sorry a restaurant had to make it worse for you but if you have that in your hotel, it’s expected we will review this as well.

The restaurant had a very limited menu. Our room looked at the roof of the hotel. Room was not that clean. Would not recommend doing a night out and dinner if your a couple that wants a nice night out. Pick a different hotel.

The Over Priced Buffet Breakfast was $16 per person Plus TIP was SO SO. The Same Breakfast @ The Best Western in Lumberton NC was the same plus they had Waffles you make yourself, and Hot Oatmeal- FREE- I paid $299 per night (2-night stay ) plus two taxes. The Best Western for one night was $105 plus two taxes.

Beautiful location, easy beach access. Balcony was extremely small and only had an angled view of ocean. Rooms were nice, comfortable beds. Huge tv. Restaurant on the property Mollys was not good. Food and service were pretty terrible.
