No pool. Kitchen stinks

This former Residence Inn is not in good condition. The room was very worn out with frayed, stained carpet, stained bathtub. The room had a bad odor probably due to the old stained carpet that had seen some pet accidents from the smell of it. Housekeeping does their best I would imagine. I’m suspicious of all the good reviews from the last few weeks. Reading the old residence inn reviews would probably give a more accurate picture. There’s no new signage so a bit hard to find. It shares the same parking lot as the Fairfield Inn. The breakfast was not good. The coffee was lukewarm. There was not much in terms of food. It was quiet since there were only few guests. It felt like a ghost town. The staff were friendly and check-in was fine. The upside is that the rate was just $52 and I only stayed one night as I was just passing through. I wouldn’t return.

Room was great - so much space, a TV that swiveled for viewing from bed or sofa on other side, hot shower and great water pressure; did miss having a ceiling fan over the bed for air movement, but...ICE maker worked! Can't speak to the workout room that I was excited to have but then didn't use, but staff were friendly. Breakfast was confusing however. Each day seemed to have something else not working, so our third and final day we didn't bother checking it out, other than for coffee, and just stopped at a breakfast joint in town instead. Great value though, would stay again!

My room hadn’t been prepared - the bed still had dirty sheets and used towels scattered around. The hotel didn’t haven’t another room for me, so I was turned away.

The place is lacking quality control from staffing to rooms (the pictures looked nice); bathtub needs replacing, carpet needs replacing and I didn’t take off shoes; microwave light didn’t work, kitchen drawers were dirty and only two forks in drawer. No ice bucket and front desk said to use a bowl from room. No ice in frig, the

Clean room great staff,

The room was clean and spacious. It had a well-equipped kitchen. Jakyn and Tia at the front desk we're both welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay there again, as well as recommend it to others. spacestorage.Breakfast space.

Understand what you are booking and it will be just fine. The staff was very friendly and everything appeared to be clean. The hotel is older and could use some refurbishing. It is just really showing its age. There was also a strange smell coming from the kitchen area. However for the money it was worth it.

The room was great, basically a small apartment, separate bedroom, a living area and kitchen. The TV was confusing with no guide and no way to figure out what channel a station was. In the morning, there was a minimal breakfast with no fruit or yogurt.

My family and I just stayed 1 night as we were on a road trip, the hotel is currently rebranding so it was a bit confusing finding the hotel, the room was clean and spacious, it was quiet, bed was comfortable, the tv didn’t work and breakfast was not great at all. Staff was friendly. I would probably stay again.

Pet friendly, nice staff, roomy and comfortable rooms. We were a family of 6 with two dogs and there was enough room for everyone

Staff when I checked in was great. I had an issue with the tv and she went out of her way to accommodate me

Mgr Sha, Asst Mgr Christy and other staff went into my room and went through all of my stuff. They said it was an accident so we came to an agreement and all was good, or so I thought. My wife joined me on my trip, and for some reason, Christy took issue with her, began being very passive aggressive towards her and when my wife was forced to interact with her, she would start yelling and screaming like my wife had done something. Then she would threaten to go to the owner and kick us out or call the police and have us removed. It made our stay very stressful. I was glad to leave. The price is good there, but management makes it a nightmare if they feel you will stand up for yourself. The other staff was delightful. Honestly, they should remove the Asst Mgr at the very least and promote one of the other desk workers to her position. They were pleasant to work with and had the customer’s and owner’s best interest in mind.

Staff was very friendly. The place was lovely to stay in. I hope the price stays reasonable under the new ownership. I'd love to bring my family back on our travels.

Yellow City is our go-to destination when we are traveling through Amarillo. We love this place and have yet to be disappointed in staff or the rooms. Value is exceptional and always comfortable and staff is friendly.
