Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus

This place is in a good location and looks good from outside but the rooms are very dated not worth the price, we had to change rooms the first one air did not work the second one they showed us was missing furniture and reeked of smoke and looked like someone had been sitting in the bed. The room that we did get finally the toilet run all night, oh and someone pulled the handle off the side door so people were propping it open with a rug to get in, no security at all.

The property was well-maintained and conveniently located near dining and shopping options. The front desk agent, Justin, was exceptionally polite and helpful throughout our stay. However, we were disappointed that the pool was out of service for the duration of our visit, especially since it was a key reason we chose this hotel.

Not everything worked fire pit did not work me and barbecue or was not working

We stayed one night on our travel from NOLA to SC. Check in was very efficient with Jay. The room was spacious and very clean. Comfortable bed and bedding very quiet. My husband used the peloton in the fitness room in the morning. The breakfast area was very clean and the food selections were very good. We would stay again in the future. Numerous restaurants and shopping available nearby if wanted.

The pool was “broke.” The chair in the room was stained bad enough we weren’t willing to sit there. The room smelled like a vacuum cleaner bag. The staff was super friendly.

Staff was excellent, the room was nicely appointed and very clean. My only complaint about my stay was that none of the ice machines worked so you had to go to the front seat to get any.

I did like that the room had a separate bedroom and living room area. The furniture in the room had stains and a rip on them. The AC unit in the room had some dust build up on it. The breakfast was good. One of the handles were broken on the outside door and therefore it was propped opened by a rug which I felt was unsafe.

The fire pit was not working. One of the barbecuers did not work the front desk staff was unsure on how to even light it.

Pool was filthy and not working and NO ONE knew about it. Next day a closed sign on the pool asked the manager at the desk and they had NO idea why it was closed and when someone was coming in that would know gave me a time and then changed it when i went in to check what was going on about the pool. Ice machine now working on our floor. Weeds growing all around the pool. and if you look close at the out door area in the corner there is a black plate on the ground in the corner of the Foutain area and most likely still there. was the first and last day we were there along with the weeds by the pool area. Tv was not working and had to be reprogramed by the maintenane person. dish washer posted not working.

The staff was nice. The property itself is pretty run-down though. The AC unit in My first room was taken apart so I had to ask for a different one. My shower stall door was broken. The ice machines were broken. One.of the entry doors was broken.It was hot in the hallways and there was an unpleasant odor in the rooms. I paid way too much for the room given all that.

Room floor got all wet. Had to move rooms becaz of terrible smell. Not a good experience at all. Will not return there to that hotel. I should get a refund.

HORRIBLE! Mold everywhere, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves!

There were areas of my room in the corners that were dirty and my dog found some candy wrappers from a previous guests stay. My shower door didn't close and the shower didn't have hot water.

The bathroom had no exhaust and you could see the mold growing.

Rooms are disgusting.

We were here to visit family. The room was nice but needs updating. Lots of stains on the furniture along with ripped furniture. The shower had black mold along the edges of the tub. All it needs is a little bleach sprayed on it. The bed was very comfortable and it had a nice kitchen.

We had roaches in our room!

This property is old, unkept, and very dirty. The sheets and blankets were stained. When I asked for a bed change they replaced it with another set of stained linens. The pillow cases has someone’s hair on it. The shower floor and shower calking was black. The room floors were sticky. The carpet was bubbling up due to humidity. The TV remote didn’t work. The TV box had fallen off the wall and sat on the dresser upside down with the nails sticking up. Light fixtures were missing shades. Furniture was torn and heavily used. Property couldn’t give me a room change because they over-booked. Under staffed. About the only good thing about this place was the extremely friendly staff.

I‘m not one to do reviews, but expected more from Hilton. The hotel carpet in the halls is stained, the chair in our room was stained. The water was out for hours. Housekeeping came by and took all our towels, but never replaced them and did not refill shampoo and more. We called to let them know and they said okay but never did come back with them. We called the front desk and she was super sweet and brought the towels up for us. This was after being out all day. Then the fire alarm repeatedly was going off. My youngest really struggled, saying his ears hurt with the constant fire alarms going off. The breakfast was cold, but had a okay selection. I did like the water pressure and the hot water in the shower. I will say the front staff was super nice! Would I stay again, no, it cost way too much for the headache. Oh and the elevators were way overdue for inspections.

Rooms were big and clean; had a courtyard with fireplace. Staff were friendly and respectful. Great area

Liked the layout of the room - it felt spacious. It was well kept and good size kitchenette

The room was comfortable and was equipped with various amenities which provided a great upgrade that is not found in other hotels. The accommodations created an atmosphere that resembled a small apartment away from home.

Everything about my stay here was great. The size of the room was awesome

Very outdated and overpriced for the condition our suite was in. It was in need of repair; bathroom faucet did not work and kitchen faucet leaked. With that said, the staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was great.

Thought we had booked a king, but it ended up being a double …. There was an upsell when I booked on the site and I guess I didn’t read carefully … also, the AC popping on and off all night is loud, kept waking me up.

The hotel was dated and showing it. The best part/funny of my stay was the “hurricane grade” shower

The pillow felt like a paper bag stuffed with cotton balls. The main hallways were very, very hot. When asked, the staff manager said they are due for an update..... We asked to move rooms due to all of this plus there was no desk for my husband to work at with his computer. They moved us to a room that had a more open concept but online this room is cheaper than the suite with seperate bedroom that we paid for. The breakfast was plain, and not appealing at all. I will not be going back.

Arrived at 4 pm, early afternoon but my room was overbooked. Took 30 mins and front desk to sort out with different accomodations but ended up the same. After 10 mins in the room, another guest entered with a key. Later my key did not work and I had to go into computer closet with the attendant for new key reprogramming. Multiple people waiting in long line in lobby...frustrated. Not enough towels for room occupancy. Ice machine did not work. Expected more for the price and brand. Overall, it worked for an overnight stay.

The room was very beautiful abd clean and relaxing. The staff is what made it a better stay! Staff was kind, helpful, and so welcoming. Beautiful people.

Not going to lie, I was expecting less. I was surprised to see cooking utensils, pots, pans, glassware, dishes, dishwasher and more. Everything we needed for our stay to cook or dine in. We loved everything about the room. Although, our bathroom door couldn't shut and the handle was on backwards. The shower pressure was a bit challenging. Water was scorching hot, and it was a hit or miss getting the right temperature, lol. HOWEVER...I have a medical condition that doesn't allow me to sleep very well and I wake from a dead sleep due to massive migraines. Not once did I wake from noise, pain or being uncomfortable. I slept soundly!! I would DEFINITELY be returning here and would GLADLY take the same room to get this same rest that we did. The 2nd best thing is THE STAFF!!! OMG, the staff here are amazing!! Constantly greeting you, bidding you a good morning/day. Asking how your day is going and offering assistance. When I say this staff are amazing. We had a horrible trip coming in. What was supposed to be a 5 hour trip, took 14 hours. When arriving at the hotel 8/23/24. Miya, the receptionist, was getting screamed at by an entitled, old hag!! Complaining that no one was available to take her bags upstairs or park her car at MIDNIGHT. Not once did she break character and was professional. Staff here made this stay WORTH IT!! I can't wait to come here again just to here their friendly voices. WE LOVED IT HERE!! We loved it here so much that we became members!! Thx to Miya😉

Well we arrived early for my sons basic training graduation and was hoping to get in the room a lil early as we were going to the family day and we didn’t get to check in till after 3 the lady at the desk was highly rude in the get go definitely needs more training on customer service. We also had ac problems where the room wasn’t getting cold just the living room was , the tv wasn’t working properly and my family wanted to grill outside while swimming and the grills were just nasty and terrible enough that I would my family eat off of it . Breakfast has really went down in the last year. Better off going out to eat. Housekeeping best thing about property. Run down furniture, AC unit made horrible noise couldn't run it so we could sleep. Even after calling property 4 times to confirm reservation, the following day they wanted us to change rooms because they said we booked wrong under this app, it wasn't the same as prior night we stayed. I had to follow up hours later because they just left us hanging on to what she may be able to do.

Over all, the stay was very good. The staff, especially at the front desk, was very friendly and professional, even very helpful. The hotel was clean and the breakfasts were very good. Unfortunately, unknown reason, the cleaning staff did not clean or refresh our room one day. The front staff was very apologetic and gave us clean towels, etc.

Our reservation was for 3 nights and booked 2 months in advance. This reservation was canceled by the property at 3:15pm via email while we were flying into Columbus, GA for a graduation. When we arrived we were told they had cancelled our reservation, were sold out and did not have a room for us. The rest of family was also staying in the hotel for 3 nights. This was very upsetting. Hotels.com helped us book with another the Clarion and it was very dirty and 2 miles away from family. This made it very difficult to coordinate with family that was staying in our original hotel and spend time with them. I booked this hotel 2 months in advance and for 3 nights. This reservation was cancelled the day of checkin. Imagine this happening to you when you have planned to visit with family and fly in only to find that your hotel has canceled your reservation and you have to stay in a different hotel miles away from your family that you haven’t seen in over a year. This was very upsetting. There has not been any compensation for this issue.

the hotel is in a great location. i am from small town across river from here. we moved a few years ago and visit often. this hotel is friendly and clean but has a few issues. the staff at breakfast area was rude to my wife for asking for ice. she normally would not but we were on first floor and only working ice machine was on fourth floor so when she spoke with desk, they sent her to this area. we were right next to side exit door, that slammed if you did not ease it back. it was noisy from 5am to midnight all four days. we kept ac fan running to block this noise. overall, i would give a 8/10 rating. nothing left at breakfast an hour before it closed, door issue, rude staff. just so you can compare, we traveled so much over the last 14 months that unfortunately we have stayed in a hotel around 190 nights during this time. even with the issues mentioned, we will stay here again. i would consider these minor issues compared to hotels we have stayed in.

We got put in a handicap access room so it wasn’t as up to date as the other rooms. There was a bowl of old cereal in the cabinet when we arrived… but other than that the hotel was clean. Didn’t go to pool area or other areas besides for breakfast. There were any different options for breakfast.

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast good, offered biscuits and gravy when they ran out of eggs.

Breakfast was not up to par. We have stayed here before, and everything was hot and delicious. This time, the area ran out of plates two days into our four day stay. Coffee was cold on one day, as was hot water. Fewer choices.
