We paid in advance tr reserve a parking spot. On arrival there was NO PARKING AVAILABLE. HAD YO PATK ON YHE STREET AT AN EXTRA COST FOR 4 hours until finally someone left. Office not open at 5:30pm right up until next day when we checked out at 10am. Left 3 voicemails to management and an email with no response.

Cute older hotel. Cute little property, no frills but very quiet and comfortable. Staff were very nice a block walk to the beach walk. Loved the garden area and little patio for coffee in the morning. Will absolutely stay again!

We only stayed one night. Location is great-- a short block from the beach. Quiet little hotel, a little older facility. Staff is not in the office that often, but we were able to communicate about parking and logistics ahead of time. Room and beds were comfortable. Not a large room, but they had a fridge, microwave and basic dishes which was nice. Be sure to reserve a parking space ($20/night) if you have a car as there is scarce parking.

Tried calling during business hours with no answer. Finally ended up getting answer via email. We found 2 cockroaches in our room (NOT Palmetto bugs- we're Floridians so we know the difference). Seems there are several permanent residents that make the vibe a bit uneasy. Soda machine doesn't work & nowhere close to get drinks or snacks. It was a place to lay our head for the night before our cruise but we won't be back. It IS close to the beach.

The only reason it gets 2 stars instead of just one is because the price was decent. That being said, I wouldn’t recommend it. My wife and I stayed there the night we flew in and left the next morning for a cruise. When we got to the hotel, the outside was ok. But going inside it just felt and looked dirty. My wife pulled the blanket on the bed to look for bed bugs and ended up finding blood stains on the sheets. Not a lot, like from a bloody nose, but still. The toilet barely worked and there was no warm water

There was still urine in the toilet when we arrived which led me to believe the bathroom hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. There were flies and gnats flying around the room. This was a last min booking, so I booked it b/c of the cheap price and b/c it was close to the cruise ports, but with proper planning you can certainly find much better than this hotel at a decent price in the area!

Stay far away from this place! It’s a complete waste of money! I never do reviews but must do one for this hell hole. Upon entering room #13 I first notice the filthy floor, filthy blanket and sheets stained with blood. The bathroom is tiny, attempted to wash my hands and the sink immediately filled up with water to the top, no drainage. Small ants everywhere. Somehow I managed to stay 1 night out of a 3 night stay but I had to be intoxicated in order to sleep a couple of hours on the towels I brought from home. Don’t ruin your trip! The reviews are wrong! This is a dump!

Pictures showing this property are from LONG AGO!!! Paint peeling off of walls, porcelain worn off in bathtub, rust covered mini fridge, holes in sheets. Musty odor to room. Never once saw any management, just a note on office door stating how to get into room.

Room was flat out disgusting, you can tell the bathroom tub has NEVER been scrubbed or probably even cleaned. The bathroom door didn’t even close and the floors were so dirty like caked kind of dirty. Everything the room has is outdated, the bed was so uncomfortable and possibly even broken. The shower towels were torn and stained, OH and they have cockroaches! They come out at night and get in your clothes, so nasty! I NEVER saw staff there, or they never once came to change our bedsheets or give us new clean towels. I believe the people that stay in the other units actually live there, lesson learned. You get what you paid for, never again.

Property has an ideal location 50 yards from the beach. That is the only thing this hotel has going for it. Very dated. Furnishings look like they were acquired from a garage sale. Shower had no hot water.

No one in office late afternoon. Piece of paper taped to office door with room assignment and says room open with key inside, see you in the morning. No hot water. Ended up washing at sink with cold water. When we left the next morning around 9am, office still closed. They advised continental breakfast included. That was a lie. Room had to be left unlocked. We were concerned someone could come in after we left and take items that we would be blamed for. Terrible customer service model.

This place needs updated badly. We had broken chair, smoke detector falling from ceiling, patches on walls, paint pealing, bathroom light was rusty, and you had to call when you got there because no one is in the office even part time. Won’t be staying again.

Generally run down, no coffee maker but there was coffee, very poor TV quality, wifi was horrible to not working at all, hair dryer was broken, shower curtain rod was at a 25 degree angle and no place to eat within walking distance. The office was still locked after 9:00 am the next morning and we couldn’t find a phone number to call a cab because the wifi was so poor but the cleaning lady graciously called a cab for us.

I was disappointed at the lack of communication from staff who did not respond to emails or calls and had no one in the office to answer questions. Also, room 14 needs a new bed, super uncomfortable. Convenient area close to beach, nice garden area. Not sure we'd go back.

Room had everything we needed. But the water pressure is horrible. We were in room 13 and there was no water pressure in the shower. For someone whos hot water is out and really wanted a hot shower finally. Well it was hot! But just a trickle. Very sad!

We we’re a later check in and our room was ready for us to walk in. We had also been upgraded to a suite which was lovely. Philip called the day of to inform us of the change and was awesome to speak with. Will be back!!!

I received a text the day of my stay letting me know my room number, and that the door would be unlocked and key left on table. I arrived at about 10:00 PM, the room was unlocked, but there was no key. The office was locked/closed - there was a phone number to call, but there was no answer or response to my voicemail. There was still no one there or any response when I left a little before 9:00 AM the next morning. There was supposed to be breakfast included, but I saw no food or hotel staff at all. The TV would not turn on, I had no way to secure the room if I exited, there were some maintenance and cleanliness issues and there was no one to help with any issues. I would not stay there again or be able to recommend it to others.

There was not one in the office. Weird right? We kept dealing with the person cleaning the rooms. We kept calling the number and going to the office and NO ONE WOULD ANSWER. I have no idea what was going on there. Lovely little place, don't expect much if any support.

I booked and kept calling to let them know I will arrive after 11 pm and no one answered. Then I arrived and called 5 times and nobody answered. I ended up driving around for 1.5 hours trying to find a hotel that ended up costing me 3 times more and then this ocean inn doesn’t even want to refund the money. Stay away from this place!

Booked this place last minute, as other plans fell through. The property is older but clean and well maintained. Philip at the front desk was awesome and easy to work with. The beach was a very short walk, and you’re just north of the main broadwalk and the accompanying noise. We would definitely stay here again.

We needed an after cruise, 'day room'. Property is dated. Outside needs TLC, but the room was clean, neat and odor free. It's steps from the less crowded beach. We arrived earlier(10am) than check-in time, but Philip (mgr) was very welcoming and offered to put our luggage in the room that would be ours when cleaned, no later than 2pm. No issue, as we were going to the beach and lunch. Room was ready at 12:30. He then offered us beach towels and chairs to use. We had towels, but then he closed the office and insisted on carrying the chairs to the beach for us! When we were heading for the airport later I asked him for taxi help. He said "too expensive, use Uber". I never had, so he ordered one and paid for it and I paid him. Of all the <3star motels I've experienced, Philip makes this the one to use in this area!

This was just an overnight stay due to layover at FLL. I will admit I chose based on price, but was also happy to be so close to the boardwalk and beach. It is not a luxury spot but it was comfortable. I would not call it convenient for anything but the boardwalk and even then it is on the North end so a bit of a walk to get to restaurants/stores. Nothing to worry about really but if you prioritize being able to pop over and get a coffee within a 5 minute walk you will be disappointed kind of thing.

If you want luxury, go elsewhere. If you want a clean, functional space that has been minimally updated (but enough to keep it functional and pleasant) this is for you. Steps to the beach. The AC unit in my room was a bit loud (but no problem if you typically sleep with a white noise machine). But because of it (I think) I heard nothing from the adjoining rooms or outdoors. That was nice. There are beach towels and beach chairs provided (not the nicest, but functional). Be prepared if you have a car--parking is extra. I was on a solo visit to see my dad. If I travel alone again, I'll be back. But, honestly, this is not upscale enough to please my wife. ;-)

Clean yes. Maid is great. No checkin desk or area. Office not open. Just call # on door and they will instruct which rm and key is there. Let us arrive early. Thank you. Rm needs some cosmetic work. Bed ok. Basic everything. If no car it is pretty isolating for coffee or any groceries. Walked both direction on boardwalk. Left is a small marine rescue education centre. Right is all the restaurants. Ocean 13 is closest clean place and friendly staff. Ate breakfast. Coffee good. It is ocean view. A local said nicks is best but it is a jaunt. Riptides has live music outside. Ppl dance. Little further is a stage and kids park. Music most nights. It is a huge boardwalk and is busy and well lighted. Lots of benches to stop and to ppl watch. Beach is nice. Large but by afternoon very busy. Seaweed later in day drifts up. City cleans up in mornings. Water a bit cool but great. Safe swimming mostly. Lifeguards present. Enjoyed location. One or two night with no car ok. Longer without car is hard. Uber to cruise port was 19$. Taxi was 35$ airport closer so might be less.

Our first time, as a night pre-cruise stay. Philip was awesome - very helpful and informative! The location is amazing for beach access and the Hollywood Beach boardwalk. The hotel itself is older and a bit tired, but clean, with a retro-kitschy feel. This will be our new pre-cruise hideaway, and our friends are already booking.
