There was a gym but did not use it. Breakfast was up to standards for this hotel chain. The room, overall was clean. As for the negatives; The wire connecting the receiver to the phone was broken. I asked the front desk for a wake up call. I was told the morning staff would contact me, though without the phone working, it was a moot point The tub had a circular hole on the porcelain, probably causing a leak or at least causing a potential of the tub rusting. The HVAC unit was turned on to make the room very cold before we entered it. We needed to turn on the heat. Doing so the unit emitted a strong odor and had to be turned off, leaving the room cold. The door to be the room was open when we arrived, before entering. In the morning there were mosquitoes in the dining area. This was probably due to contractors who were renovating the hotel, leaving it open Overall, I would rate this hotel as unsatisfactory.

The manager and front desk staff were exceptional. They truly went above and beyond to be helpful. 5 stars from start to finish! The staff member “overseeing” breakfast was very rude both days we were there. He was repeatedly nasty with our kids. Takes his tiny bit of authority in the world entirely too seriously.
