I book a weekend stay because the AC went out at my house. We get here and we can\'t use the pool. The pool "wasn\'t ready". It\'s the first of June in Texas, are you serious?! So then we needed to do some clothes, nope. Can\'t use the laundry room either. I should not have to call ahead of time to see if the amenities are working. The AC was nice and cold, but that was about the only positive thing about this stay.

The elevator was broken and my room was on the 3rd floor. The stairwell was filthy. When I got to my room, the sheets had filth on them. I called the front desk and they brought me clean sheets that were too small. I used them anyway. The proximity to the highway made the room noisy and the AC unit would make a loud clunking noise every time it turned on. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was good but I would not stay again at this hotel.

The hotel was easy to get to and had plenty of food places nearby. It’s nestled off away from the busy streets so it’s nice and quiet. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of space to move around in. The water pressure and temperature were perfect. I loved how they had all Dove products for you to use in the shower and was conveniently mounted. The outdoor pool was amazing! It was not your normal rectangular one and was actually oval shaped. The hotel was built on a huge hillside so the pool had a beautiful view of the rolling hills. Because the hotel is so close to Lake Texoma, they had special parking in the back for the people who were pulling boats. These parking spots also included the ability to run an extension cord to a power outlet located on the light poles to charge your trolling motor battery. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is regarding the parking lot. It is very small and the spaces are narrow. If you drive an SUV or big truck (dually) like us, it’s a very tight fit. You can park in the boat trailer parking if spaces are available.

The hotel itself is nice and clean, however, once we got there we went to the pool and it was locked. This was not advised on the website anywhere and there were no signs. We were there meeting with friends from Houston and we expected a pool when it is 105 degrees and you are vacationing for 5 days! Once I asked why it was locked they said it failed inspection and I said that should have been advertised as we would not have booked. Also the air conditioner in the room could not keep the room cool at all. Otherwise this is a nice hotel and most of the staff are very friendly..

It is odd that there is only one luggage cart available for the whole hotel. There are also several broken tiles throughout the entryways. The faucet in the tub/shower in our room(209) leaks oddly through the handle. The ac is very loud as well.

Probably one of the dirtiest la Quinta I been to so far. The room smelled like dog and the popcorn ceilings was pealing. Would not recommend the one in Denison.

This room smelled like cat pee. I couldn't breath and my allergies got flared up. Around the bed frame was full of dust. Our lock on the door in room 119 didn't lock either. I notified the front desk. I've never stayed at a La Quinta so foul before. The breakfast was horrible. This hotel gives La Quinta brand a bad reputation. The one good thing was the night check in gentleman. He was kind and personable.

The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The bathroom was not cleaned well. There was hair on the floor and on the back of the toilet bowl. The hand towels were not fresh. Tge smelled like they were new but hadn't been washed yet. Not a pleasant smell for sure. The doors to the rooms around us were slamming all morning. Really if it had not been for the guy that checked us in being such a friendly host. I definitely would have given a lower star rating. He deserves recognition. I wish I had gotten his name.

The lower floor smelled like a wet dog. Unfortunately, my room was on the lower floor. And it smelled like a wet dog also. I was apprehensive about sleeping there but I arrived late and only had a few hours to sleep. Thankfully it was quiet, which was one of two bright points, the other being the front desk lady was nice.

Out side street lights shining in window curtains won’t close. A/c barely works loud. Bed is the worse thing I’ve seen. Elevator hot muggy door would barely open close. When I looked at the picture on the website it looks like a new place. Very disappointed

The room was nice, everything was clean and well kept. Our only complaint is that there was no way to block out outside light. The lights from the parking lot shone into our room and of course, the sun in the morning. There were only curtain sheers and no light blocking curtains.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the quality of the room and the hotel. It was quiet, plenty of hot water, and the bathroom was clean. The AC is very loud and not easy to adjust. The microwave is also not easy to adjust as it is just a timer without any type of programming. We had a bag of popcorn that burned after 1.5 minutes and barely popped.

On the surface, the hotel looked good. Got in the room and the walls and ceilings looked old and rundown. Lipstick on a pig look. The staff was great. My room was next to the elevator and it was very noisy inside the room. Breakfast was really fantastic though!

The stay was very pleasant. The front desk person was great. I had checked in online the day before but apparently it didn’t save. For that she upgraded our room for the inconveniences. The only drawback beck was the shower. The water pressure was low and it drained slowly so you stood in a puddle of water.

Rated average because the room keycard had to be reactivated each night of our stay thein room coffee maker was incomplete and had to be replaced. While the front desk said our room was on the refresh list it was never touched. I had to go to the front desk to get towels and in room coffee supplies each morning. The night staff was very nice but apparently quite inexperienced having difficulty finding the coffee supplies and accessing towels.

Our room was not cleaned and towels not replaced with clean ones after the first night. I had to ask for towels. It turned out that at this location, one must specifically put out a door hanger sign instructing housekeeping to make the room, replace towels, etc. The property was very busy over the weekend when we stayed there, and the front desk was attended by only one staff member. They seemed to be almost overwhelmed.

Hotel wasn't that far from the casino in Durant (about 20 min) which is why we chose it. If we can't stay at casino this will be the place we choose to stay. Bed's comfy, good water pressure and clean.

Went to the breakfast room at approximately 8:05 am on a Monday morning. Breakfast is supposedly served from 6 am to 9 am. Two coffee carafes were completely empty. One coffee carafe was full however, coffee was ice cold. No sliced bread for toast, only bagels. No forks or spoons available to eat with. Was going to make a cup of coffee back in the room but, no coffee pod holder for the coffee maker.

The breakfast options could be updated and not be the same daily. I realize there is a cost, but surprise your customers with something new. No bacon was ever served, not sure if this is because of the owner preference, but I think they should take in consideration that everyone do not follow their personal or religious belief.

Our room was clean. The bed was broken, the shower handle shot water at you which seemed to be the hot water, so the shower water coming out soon to be lukewarm never hot. The room had two televisions, which was nice, but the main television didn’t work. We were needing another blanket, but the desk clerk was too busy to look for one. For breakfast my wife wanted to yogurt but then looking at the date it was expired for over a month. I will say next time we stay in Denison I will not be staying at the La Quinta.
