Per the Hampton Inn website, and Expedia for this particular property in Franklin, NC., there were NO, I repeat NO disclaimers regarding the fact that the POOL was…under construction”! It simply stated it HAD a pool with pictures to see as if it’s up & functionally running which clearly it was NOT upon arriving at this hotel. The only way we knew was by a laminated picture & short description of the fact the pool was “under construction” stuck to the front of the desk. The front desk clerk was friendly, but simply stated it was closed at this time. NOTE: This was very deceiving to an arriving customer, AND, the fact that the RATE was higher for the weekend! This is very poor customer service that should be disclosed right up on the front end, NOT once a customer arrives on your doorstep! The right thing to do was to provide “discounts”, for all that come to this location, until the pool is up & running properly! Very poor management from the top!

Stayed one night and was disappointed. The hotel was not up to standard that we are used to with Hampton inn. The pool was closed and they did not inform us before hand. That was a reason we stayed there: quality and pool. I do not recommend this hotel.

We stay here a lot. So far, four trips to Franklin this year and seven last year. The property is reliably clean, the staff friendly and the rooms adequate, although on the small side for a Hampton. Wish they would fix the swimming pool, though. It's been closed for all the years we've been going there. One big improvement is that across the street is a brand new Super Ingles store with a good cafe, great eat-in or take out food and a Starbucks. Very handy.

The entire floor was dirty. Long-gray hair (probably old woman's) lying all over bathroom floor and even a dirty t-shirt of previous guest was lying on floor indicating that the cleaning staff did not bother to vacuum the floor at all. Pillows gave both my wife and me neck pain. Breakfast was OK. The old lady serving breakfast was sweet. The waffle batter was finished when I reached the dining hall but the lady prompy brought strawberry flavored batter that was scheduled for next day. She definitely deserves credit for good service. But other than that, the hotel was disappointing.

Door for exit from 3rd floor banged continuously from 6am and banged/shook the wall and headboard into room 301. No amount of ear plugs or white noise allowed sleep. A/C smelled like mold. You had to keep it on coldest setting or it smelled like and old moldy heater. We were all stuffed up from it- went to the next, newer hotel and it was, literally, a breath of fresh air. View from the room was a green water, dirty pool with leaves in it. This is an OLD hotel, and it was NOT a good stay.

It amazes me that hotel brands continue to believe dated, unclean hotels, can carry a $160 fee. Hallways were in need of vacuuming. Rooms are very dated and TV kept going in and out on each channel. No back on remote and batteries kept falling out. Took nearly 15 minutes to get warm water in shower morning of check out. Hair stuck to top of shower overhead. I would give about $50 for room like this. I’m ashamed I spent my hard earned money on this crap

Nice, quiet location, which is why I booked a room here. The room was adorable, comfortable and clean, and I loved the positive message on the bathroom door. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was very nice. One caveat - if you are a light sleeper, do not stay in room 300. It is right in front of the elevator and next to the ice machine. I had a sound machine and the a/c running, and it still kept me up. Fortunately, the front employee found another room for me at the end of the hallway on the first floor, and it was wonderful and peaceful! I would definitely stay here again!

It was a good stay. The breakfast was good and the breakfast area was always clean. My room was loud with humming coming from the hvac unit. The workers at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay good.

I felt the hotel suffered from humidity control. The bathroom would always stay somewhat wet. Not sure if they were havi g issues with the bathroom vents but i shouldnt have to have the fan running for a few hours to clear up a mirror. Also needed to run the ac down to about 68 to 70 to get the humidity under control. The hotel stay overall was very good. Very clean and breakfast setup was fantastic. That where this property shines well. Donna was a great person to see every morning.

The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The one disappointment was that upon arrival the lobby was unattended. Myself and four other guests waited in line to check in. There was a sign to say the staff would be back soon. The guest in front of me had been waiting 15 min and I waited at least 10 min. For security purposes as well as customer service, the lobby should be staffed at l times.

We were really comfortable staying in this hotel. Tucked away off the main road, and they have a really nice area for the dogs outside. Breakfast was good, but you absolutely must eat early, otherwise there is not enough seating. Bed was very comfortable.

We travel frequently across the south east. This hotel was head and shoulders better than any others. The first thing we noticed was the crisp clean smell when entering the room. The breakfast was great with waffles, biscuits and gravey and fruit choices! Since Covid most hotels only offer minimal offerings. Would definitely stay here again!

The breakfast egg n meat selection on my stay was horrible. The sausage tasted terrible and basic scrambled eggs would’ve been better than the dry egg white omelettes. Outside of that everything was great. The reason I choose Hampton is due to the available breakfast and gym so this trip was disappointing.
