The hotel is fine for someone just looking for a place to sleep. It is actually quite clean. But that’s where the good ends. Upgrading to a suite means the room has a small loveseat. The window over looks the stairs. So we had to keep our blinds closed. The door was sticky and hard to open. The bed is ok if hard is your style. The room seemed like it was run down freshly painted. No closet. No where to put luggage except under the TV or on the coffee table. I feel like they tried with the breakfast but not enough staff to actually make it good. Nothing available to drink. Coffee empty the entire 45 minutes I ate. The milk was empty. The sausage was empty. There were eggs and some muffins sliced along with waffles to make. Dry cereal. The poor staff lady was working the counter and breakfast and just didn’t have the support needed. She was friendly. The pool looked clean. I didn’t swim. There is an elevator which is nice.

It's real close to the freeway and a casino is next door so it's not super quiet at night. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were really nice and well maintained. The hot tub was drained the first night we stayed but up and running the next day. The coffee in the breakfast area was decent and fresh.

It was a quick stay, as we arrived late at night (after 10pm) and departed in the morning around 9am. It was pet friendly and fairly close to the border. I imagine it would have a different feel in the summer, as the pool and hot tub was closed. We were impressed by the breakfast, which wasn’t great, but exceeded our expectations. Also, a disc golf course was within a 10 minute walking distance of the hotel. BIG plus.

Good for the money , I enjoyed the pool although a bit of the pool wall was in the pool and we stepped on it and hurt my GFs foot but overall it was a nice place .. beds are on the hard side

No pool, no hot tub, no notification that the breakfast ended at 9am, while I’ve stay here a couple times before. The renovations look good. But no hot water pressure, and no amenity’s advertised leaves a sour taste in my mouth for the rate I paid.

This was a real find! We stayed an extra day because it was convenient and the staff were wonderful! We were able to do laundry and enjoy time in the hot tub and pool!

The pool and hot tub. The bed was comfy. But the electrical suck the clock didn't work or the usb port.And we were woke at 4am to housekeeping cleaning the rooms around us.

Being an older hotel, the rooms are large. I appreciated having a fridge and microwave as I don't want to always go to a restaurant 3x a day. The bed was comfortable. Lots of free parking is nice too

Room was clean, the free continental breakfast was very good. The proximity to Bellis Fair, Fred Myer, and Costco are very convenient. The manager ( Iqbal Sarn) was very friendly and accommodating to our needs.

Room smelled of cigarettes, dirty with other people’s hair. Stay was not with the price.

I stayed 3 nights. After 2 nights, I started seeing red bite marks all over my body. I must have had 30 of them. It was bed bug bites from this motel. It is two weeks later and I am still dealing with those bites. Disgusting. It is the only time I have ever had bed bug bites. I will not stay here again.

Room was clean enough but the smell was really bad, especially in the bathroom and near the bed. Could definitely do with a deep clean. Staff were nice and lots of parking, but also extremely noisy as the highway is right next to the rooms

The facilities are very old and tired. The bedding was at least clean and fairly comfortable, but the carpet was very dirty (to the point that if you walked across the room with bare feet to the shower, when your feet touched the wet shower floor, the water puddles were immediately dirty and brown). The curtains were stained with what looked like blood (god I hope it was catchup) Watch any grassy areas around the parking lot as there was a lot of dog feces from long term renters that are not picking up after their pets. That being said, the common indoor areas were clean, the complimentary breakfast wasn’t bad, amand the staff were working very hard to clean up after messy breakfast customers.

Found bed bugs in the room, after coming back from dinner. Manager on duty said he would check me out and refund my money. Called a few days after to confirm my refund, manager on duty then needed photo evidence, which I sent. Even after the pictures sent, refused to refund my money, and charged me for a two night stay even though I had checked out hours after my check in on the first “night” of stay. Rude staff, horrible rooms, bed bugs. Never again.

Seeing as though this motel had decent ratings my wife and I figured it would be fine for one night as we travelled through the Bellingham area. The pictures looked clean and we figured it would not be unlike many of the older family run motels we’ve stayed at in the past. The staff was friendly and we have no complaints with the check in process. Unfortunately on our way to the room there was vomit leading up the exterior steps, something we would have been fine overlooking had it not been for the painfully musty smell once we got inside. The room wreaked of cigarettes, the chair had cigarette burns in it, the duvet and towels were stained and frankly it just wasn’t a space we wanted to spend any amount of time in. Had it not been for that the sheer noise coming from the highway right outside the window was terrible. I hate writing a negative review of what I assume is a mom and pop run organization, but this is why people choose to stay at more reputable chain establishments. Lesson learned.

I read other reviews and it seemed like it could go good or bad so we took the chance, we stayed one night, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed and the bathroom door was plastered as it seems someone tried to put there fist through it, there was dried poop on the toilet seat, and we found hair on the bed, there was a big crack in the wall beside the tub and the tub was either stained or just not cleaned properly. I think it would help them if they had a security guard or something at night time. Some good things were the lobby was nice and the breakfast was decent.

Overall fine; however we found a used soap bar in the shower.

Easy access and parking off I5. Lobby, and reception was great. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Some rooms facing highway are very noisy. Checked in and found noise intolerable. Talked to front desk and the guy was friendly and helped us to move to a quite room.

I stayed in a room that had a strong odor of stale cigarette smoke and urine, which seemed to be a combination of human and pet urine. There were only two pillows on the queen-sized bed, which was insufficient. The towels had a strong smell of cooking oil. Overall, the room I stayed in looked nothing like the pictures on Expedia. The noise from the freeway was so loud that sleeping was very difficult, even with earplugs. The parking area next to the freeway looked and felt sketchy. There were several grocery store shopping carts in the parking lot.

Very noisy, and hard to sleep, rather dated room. No accommodations offered when asked for ground floor, very small and dingy room.

There was great service. The TV never worked it kept dropping signal and never had a good picture.

We were stay for two nights in a king suite. The room is spacious, with a seating area. The AC is quite, the bed is comfy, the bathroom is big. Overall the room is very clean. The teas and coffee are always available in the lobby. The pool and hottub area is great, lots of loungers, chairs, tables and umbrellas. Great stay.

Extremely rude front desk personnel. I felt I was constantly monitored. Very unwelcoming.

Our room did not get cleaned even after speaking to the front desk twice. We stayed 5 nights and our room was cleaned once. We did not receive a discount for the lack of cleaning. Will not be staying here again. Do not recommend this hotel.

$57 to check in 40 minutes early set the tone. $20 extra for visiting 4 and 6 year old grandsons to play in the swimming pool. Bulletins posted everywhere with moneitary threats ($20 if you lose a towel) was indicative of the only work being done. Spend more time cleaning and less time threatening customers. Will not stay there again. Staff was equally unfriendly.

Staff need more training on how to provide customer service.

The staff members both friendly and helpful. When checking in the lady at the front desk explained clearly where everything was. Then, we had 2 smaller pillows in our room, went to the front desk to ask for 2 more pillows and the gentleman it was no problem and got us 2 more pillows. The room was very clean, didn't smell at all, bed was pretty comfy as well. I would stay again.

Super cute and retro motel. Clean and fantastic staff. Good bang for your buck!

I stayed there about 5 days and I was appoached 3 times by two staff members, who asked me how my stay was and if they could do anything for me. I had to get to the airport at 3AM, but there were no taxies or Uber at that time that I could set up. They arranged a private driver for me and I had no worries. The breakfast area was clean and the breakfast was great with a good assortment. My bed was very comfortable. Hi give 6 stars!

The property was clean, the lady at the front desk couldn’t have been more gracious and helpful, and the breakfast was good. It’s location couldn’t have been better.

Walking distance to shopping

While its location next to the interstate may be less than ideal, the rates, room cleanliness, and friendly staff made this an enjoyable and affordable stay. It is only a short drive down Meridian to groceries, and only a bit further to the bay, downtown, restaurants, etc. I would absolutely stay here again.

There were sketchy people around the parking lot. Did not feel safe leaving my car out there. Someone sneaked up to my passenger door and they were not going/coming from the car next to me. I ended up driving around and then coming back to park. I seriously considered finding a new hotel at night. I slept with all the locks on and chairs up against the door. Granted, I watch a lot of true crime and I was traveling solo so my defenses were on high alert so take my review with a grain of salt. The property itself was old and not in its best shape. But the bed did turn out to be comfy. The next morning there was a lot of talking in the hallway and that’s when I realized the window was open. I slept with it open unknowingly! I didn’t realize it was open because the ac was on. Anyway, tbh for the money I’d book somewhere else next time. But I’d avoid this whole area.

The staff was really friendly here. But after driving around the parking lot and seeing some shady characters, including 2 cars that had busted windows, I was kind of afraid of staying there. So, I went sightseeing instead and didn’t even take my luggage out. I didn’t sleep well because the walls were really thin and I heard every single noise from the highway nearby to the people knocking on people’s doors, people working on cars, and whistles at 2am! They do have a really good breakfast spread though. So that was a small upside. I didn’t necessarily look at the reviews before booking my stay…so that was my fault but the pictures didn’t look too bad. So beware! The rooms weren’t too bad if you need a cheap place, but be wary of the area and people who hang out there.

Great hotel. Staff are friendly. Close to a cool bar, the mall and bus route into town if you are on foot.

The breakfast was horrible

The coffee at breakfast was terrible, so weak you could not pretend it was coffee. The staff had a Keurig machine. Also the pool towels were thin and small, slightly larger than hand towels. The bed was very comfortable and room was large.
