Was in Edmonton for a conference. Hotel had some construction going on. Room was clean and quite large. Very quiet. Excellent bed and pillows. On site gym was larger than most gyms and was a nice surprise.

Hotel and rooms were good. Staff very pleasant and professional. The underground parkade is ridiculously low clearance so unusable by anyone with a SUV or truck. Because of this the surface parking lot was full and fairly long walk to the entrance of hotel

The Wyndham Hotel (formerly the Coast Terrace Inn) has been modernized since our last stay, The room was spacious with a large TV, fridge, microwave and king bed. Carpet was new and bedding comfortable. Room temperature was easily controlled for comfort. Indicator lights for the elevator weren't working so it was a mystery as to when the elevator might, or might not, be arriving. Staff were pleasant and helpful - happy hour from 3 to 6 pm was fun and economical.

I stayed here on business and extended my stay I was so impressed! The gym is actually quite amazing! I had to make sure I took advantage of it. Clean, comfortable and great helpful staff and front desk. Will definitely be staying here next time I’m in Edmonton!

Disappointed the hot tub has been down for months. Were not alerted ahead of time this time. One elevators was down for most of our stay which was difficult for only 1 elevator for the whole place. None of the lights on the elevators work, doors close very quickly.

Main property looks recently renovated and is clean. Rooms are clean but a bit dated. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Property has heated underground parking however it only has a 5’6” clearance so most vehicles (including our medium size SUV) do not fit so we had to park above ground and parking in front of the hotel was very limited.

Lobby has been redone. Rooms are old and smell like they were smoked in since 1980. They pre-auth your card for a night plus an extra night. Parking is not great, has two hour max in some spots but that was not the case so not sure where to park at first and it is tight.

Great location and very clean, spacious rooms. Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout my stay. The gym is huge for a hotel — easily one of the best I’ve seen — and the pool and sauna were a nice bonus. The only thing that could use an update is the TVs, which feel a bit dated. Otherwise, everything was top-notch. Oh, and the sushi restaurant attached to the hotel is dangerously bad for my wallet because it was convenient and delicious. Already booked my next stay.

Staff were pleasant and welcoming, check in is very efficient. The building is showing its age, though the lobby is lovely and room was spacious. Unfortunately you could hear guests taking and moving through the hallways - the walls & door don’t offer any sound barrier to even regular conversation levels.

Room was huge. (Queen suite). When I say huge, it felt like a mini condo. Extremely comfortable. Check in process was lovely with (I think her name was Fatima?). We were staying for 6 days for medical travel and all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Ita auch a bonus to habe the Raquetclub, and the pool facilities as well. The pool is a bit dated but well maintained, half decent hot tub. The atrium (right off from the desk area) is quite cool. We appreaciated how central the location is and the fact that you are a 10 minite walk fromthe grocery store. There are tons of restaurants in the area. We also had a night at the all you can eat sushi place Sushi Toshi. Its a little pricey, but worth it. Great food and faat service. We will more than likey be making this spot our regular one to stay when we are in town from now on!

The lobby is great but rooms are terrible. Phone was broken, tv remote needed to be replaced twice. Just run down. The connecting rooms have terrible noise barrier. Could hear the other room just talking.

The hotel itself is very nice, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, customer service is definitely where they fall short. When we arrived, we were told there was underground parking, so we went down and parked near an elevator lobby ... only to find we were locked in. The doors scanned green but wouldn’t open. I called the front desk, and the woman who answered just sat in silence after I explained the situation. I said “hello?” and she finally replied, “one minute.” Then nothing for several minutes. I said “hello?” again and she eventually put me on hold ... and never came back. After about 15 minutes, we saw a worker walking by and asked if something was wrong with the door. He said, “What hotel are you staying at?” I told him Wyndham, and he said, “Oh, this door is for the other hotel.” It would’ve been nice to know that when we checked in, or at least have a sign on the door. Then on the second night, around 2 a.m., we were abruptly woken up by the fire alarm. We were traveling with children, and they were terrified. I opened our door to see if anyone else’s alarms were going off, but no one else’s were. I called the front desk again, and security came up, silenced the alarm, and asked if we were smoking in the room , which wasn’t exactly a kind thing to say to a family who had just been startled awake in the middle of the night overall, nice hotel, lackig in customer service

Pool and elevators not working. Balcony had garbage on it. HVAC had just come back online and I was told to “open a window” if it was still too hot. And when I called directly to hotel the day before my arrival (see why below) there was no mention at any of those problems - I was only informed of same when I showed up in person to check in. Booking early check-in via text does not result in a confirmation email or text, and when I called the hotel to confirm my early check-in request the attendant could not confirm that I had in fact checked in nor could he confirm that the hotel normally sends a text providing an early check in opportunity. Since I had to provide a credit card and a photo of my ID and thereafter could not confirm the check-in, I was left wondering if the text was fake and that I had just experienced identity theft. Terrible process from start to finish!

The service at this hotel was spectacular, especially from Sher and Oxsana, who were both perfect in their roles at the front desk, making sure that all guests had the best possible experiences. The elevators are being completely replaced because they recently broke down, so if you can't use stairs be sure to let the staff know so they can accomodate you -- they offered this to us, but we still chose the suite on the second floor, which was clean and well-maintained.

The staff did not honor my reservation for a specific kind of room that was available at the time of booking. I called before the cancellation deadline and it was confirmed, yet again, but upon arrival, it was not given to us. We had 2 families who needed 2 rooms (with small children) and booked a connected room for safety and convenience for care. We were not impressed at all and there was zero compensation to me for the inconvenience and the lack of follow through, nor was there any responsibility taken for the staff who either: confirmed a booking that wasn't available, or, for the staff who took it upon themselves to decide discretion for who gets the type of room I specifically booked. And when confronted about it, they said they would waive the fee for cancelling if I felt I wanted to go to a different hotel... On a long weekend. Won't be staying at this hotel again, or likely the Wyndham chain.

We always try to book this hotel if there is availability whenever we come to Edmonton. We like the free parking which you do not get with the hotels in the downtown area. You also have the option to go underground to park which is good in The winter. We love the clean spacious rooms with the comfortable beds and pillows. We like the location of this hotel because we can drive to Whyte avenue and U of A fairly easily. And the front desk staff and housekeeping staff are always friendly and do a great job!

It is an older hotel, although it was clean - went to get something to eat the lounge did not open till 5pm (although the front desk kept saying they where open at 4pm). Only other restaurant on site is a sushi house, all you can eat - was expensive for what we ate. Went back the bar after our event, closed at 10 pm and kitchen closed at 9 pm. Very inconvenient. Won't be my choice of stay in the future.

Room was absolutely wonderful! Likely one of the most comfortable bed I have slept in, in an hotel. Restaurant on site were very so-so sushi was amazing but very expensive. The other restaurant wasn't even open for lunch or dinner

Room was clean but shower head was coming very loose. Could have better dining options. The sushi place is good but need an all day variety menu restaurant. The lounge bar just opened but not stocked enough should not have opened until fully stocked and ready to open. Need to make it more inviting and cozy it’s out in the open and poorly decorated or designed.

We love this hotel, we came for a little staycation. The beautiful interior makes it feel like you are on vacation which as made us just stay inside the hotel all day, have dinner at the sushi restaurant inside the hotel and relax in the plaza. We came back a little while after because we loved it so much and will definitely come back again.

Location is good, however access in and out of hotel is done through the main entrance so if your near the back you have to haul you luggage a fair distance.Beds were comfortable but rooms are showing their age. Breakfast wasn’t included and almost $20 per person. The buffet and coffee was terrible, I’d definitely recommend going elsewhere for breakfast. I think there are much better options in area. Attached Sushi place seemed popular although we didn’t try it.
