Fairfield Inn & Suites Auburn Opelika

We asked for a second chair in our room so that that both of us could sit down but the CSR who answered the front desk phone said there were no extra chairs available due to the recent remodel, when all extra chairs were discarded. We should bring an extra chair with us upon staying at this location. At least we will be aware of this and will not stay at this location if there will be more than one person in our party.

The app said there was a pool which is the main reason I booked this hotel. My kids were disappointed

It would be great if it had more lighting around it

I’ve stayed in multiple hotels around this area due to frequent business trips. I thought I would try this hotel for one of my stays, and it will probably be the last. The hotel had just completed an entire carpet cleaning of every room and every floor—which was a good thing— but the carpet was soaking wet in my room from the time I checked in until the next morning. It would have been nice to break the cleaning up either into days or floors and put guests on the floors not being serviced. For a Marriott I guess I expected a little more in the way of ammenities, as well. There was only a small bar of soap in the bathroom and the dispensers in the shower were almost empty. The breakfast buffet was very nice and had a great variety of choices.

The room was newly renovated, clean and roomy. The suite we stayed in accommodated 5 family members. 2 TVs and a lounging area.

I heard the elevator ding all night long. Just very frustrating

Well, the hallways have NO AIR circulating, no air, and no hvac for cooling or it's turned off, ho hvac, the room smelled really bad, the hvac had a musty burning smell like the compressor was burned up, the hallways smelled, I would not stay here again. The outside may look nice and the lobby, but looks are deceiving, & the elevator was nasty & grimy in the openings and around the jam areas disgusting

I liked Alex at the front desk. She was especially helpful with securing an accessible room when the third party did not. We liked the accessible room. Housekeeping did not come to our room for several days. We had to take the trash out ourselves and had to ask for towels even though they said they would complete housekeeping every other day. I did like the convenience of the accessible room to the outside area. Coffee was good. Would definitely stay again. Another advantage is close proximity to all things great like Starbucks, Waffle House, PNC, Target, etc.

Our spouses were extremely pleased with the ambient of the front entry lounge area and the rooms. Stated how happy they were with our choice of hotels. The staff that checkeģd us in were good but the staff in the morning including the breakfast staff were excellent.

We stopped in for the night on the way to Georgia and came upon this hotel. The room was clean, ac worked great and it didn’t stink. The breakfast was good too and the staff very polite.

The appearance and cleaniness was very good ! ! The only complaint we have is that the room was rather small. But other than that it is a really really nice hotel ! ! !

Mold in bathroom on the wall. Shower flowed onto the bath floor and into the bedroom. No outlets of any kind on one side of the bed. Safety bar in bathroom pulling out of wall. Unlabeled product bottles in shower. Breakfast bar was fair.

The room received was not what I paid for, it was smaller and less expensive. The room was not the Marriott quality expected. The shower pressure was so low it was near impossible to shower, the reading lights on the bed were missing parts or just hanging by a wire. The hotel was not willing to compensate on different room size or condition of the room.

We’ve stayed at this Fairfield Inn several times over the past 13 years and usually have a great experience. However, this visit was disappointing. We typically book a King Bed Suite, which has always been quite nice. This time, we decided to save a few dollars and booked a standard King Room—a decision we regretted. Upon entering, we found the two-drawer chest blocking movement, even for our smallest rolling suitcase. Though there seemed to be plenty of space, we had to lift our luggage over it just to get around. Storage was also an issue—the chest was the only drawer space in the entire room. It may be fine for one person, but not for two. We had to hang up clothes that we normally wouldn’t just to make do. Another frustration was the lack of bedside outlets. There was only one, meaning I had to bring my own extension cord to use my CPAP. Adding outlets on both sides of the bed seems like a simple fix. Noise was also a problem for the first time. A traveling sports team was staying at the hotel, and their music was exceptionally loud. I reported it to the front desk early in the evening, and to their credit, it was quiet by 10:00 PM. Still, the thin walls didn’t help. One more issue: not enough towel bars in the bathroom. Reusing towels to conserve water is fine, but there needs to be enough space to hang them up properly. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and helpful as always. Final takeaway: If you stay here, book a suite.

Ac was too loud

Hotel is really nice and easy to get to in and out but we initially had reserved a two queen size beds but when we got there at 10:00 pm, they could only give us a king size bed with a pull out bed, which the pull out bed was super uncomfortable. Very disappointed in the long run because the whole purpose of getting the hotel, was to get a good night sleep before having to be up for a horse show at 7:00 am instead of driving up the same day.

1.The room was in good condition but it didn't have soap 2. I booked a room with a king size bed with sofa and tub the room didn't have a tub and the bed wasn't king size

The service was great! The hotel was very clean. The most impressive thing was that we left an Amazon gift card in our room after check out. We were attending graduation at Auburn University and it was a gift for a graduate. We called to see if they had found it. The manager returned our call. They had found the gift card and got the information to mail it to us. Honesty is still happening! We are so appreciative! And very impressed! Definitely recommend this location!

Desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Since it was late and the hotel not full she questioned if I had a room placement preference , which I appreciated.
