The massage at the hotel spa was not up to spa level expectations it felt rushed and left you feeling unsatisfied. Overall it is a clean convenient place to stay before a cruise with nice pools and plenty of shopping/restaurants in walking distance. Hotel staff were very nice as well.

The biggest thing to know about this hotel is that they will hit you with $40 “service fee” and there is another $5.20 tax for that service fee. Nothing you can do about it once they have your cc info. They just add it. Parking is crazy expensive, too. The quoted price is not too bad. But when you add in the added expenses, this is definitely not worth the fees.

We were in Miami for medical treatment and decided to stay for New Year. This turned out to be a big mistake as our room overlooked the pool where there as a pool party that went on until 2.30am. The music was extremely loud and we could feel the base through the bed! Not the best experience. The coffee station was disappointing and seemed to run out of items every morning we were there. The lack of coffee making facilities in the rooms was also disappointing - especially if you went downstairs for coffee in the morning and there wasn't any available. The hotel is well located and the staff are amazing and they were very helpful.

TLDR: Will Never Stay At Another Kimpton Hotel. BED BUGS!!! RUN!!!!! My friend and I booked a double (two bed) room facing the oceanside/east. Upon arrival we were told we were 'automatically upgraded' to a suite and when I asked was told it was facing the water. I thought this was great until we got to the room and found one king bed and sleeper sofa. The room was also facing the city/west. There was water dripping from the ceiling above the toilet. There were a total of 2 towels in the entire room. The mini-bar fridge was so packed there was zero room for any items we may bring back, just stuffed with crazy overpriced common crap. The overall room design was modern but not well thought through, there was a floor lamp (the only one in the 'sofa' part of the suite that was turned on by foot but positioned BEHIND the sofa. When you are able to climb behind the sofa to turn it on, it floods the room like an interrogation lamp and is not repositionable. WHO designed this crap?? FINALLY. and most horrible.. on the day of check-out, I noticed a strange insect climbing on the headboard in the morning. And upon closer inspection (under the interrogation lamp from the sofa room) . I discovered to my absolute horror.. BED BUGS.. and MASSIVE COLONY living and breeding on the headboard. A hotel of this 'caliber' should NOT have ALL of these issues. UNACCEPTABLE. Horrible experience overall and for the price i expected a LOT more. I've stayed at nicer Super 8's.

I stayed at Kimpton EPIC Miami and was shocked by the state of the rooms. First room: hair in the bathtub, dirty toiletries from previous guests, fingerprints, and hair on the bed and floor. Second room (after requesting a change): exactly the same issues—hair everywhere and sink not cleaned. For a hotel at this price point, this level of housekeeping is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here unless they address serious cleanliness issues.

Whole Foods right across the street was very convenient. My room service was 10/10. Nydia and Elaidys were very kind, helpful, and always left my room very clean and put together. If anyone should get a raise it should be them!! They took the time to make sure everything was spotless:)) Also the door men were very kind and made sure I didn’t touch the door

I was disappointed in the condition of my room. After walking on the floor, I had to clean the bottom of my feet due to the unclean floors. There was thick dust in the closet and dust balls on the floor of the closet. Minor repairs were needed, e.g., chipped wood, rust in the bathroom shower, etc. It was way too overpriced for what I received. I will not stay there again.

Housekeeping had not done a good job. There was a bandaid and a shard of glass in the tub. The hallways and common areas were unusually cold. We had to wear a coat to be comfortable at breakfast.

This hotel was interesting. The cleanliness was excellent. I wish there was more lighting in the room. It was sort of difficult to see at night with only a couple lamps. I do hate that the suites don't come with a microwave nor a fridge. It made it extremely difficult to bring back food. Considering the price, a fine hotel like this should have those appliances in each room.

this property was in a tight location. parking only valet for 55$ a night. the rooms is awful the slide doors for bathroom was off track. hair in shower from previous guest . and beds sleep terrible back hurting so bad they need upgrade mattress. Beautiful property in fantastic location. Front desk staff were very personable. My issues were that the beds and pillows were not comfortable. Our door bell and dnd did not work. I attempted to call guest service multiple times in a 30 minute period and it was busy the entire time. I went to the front desk to report the issue because we did not want service that day but no way to notify housekeeping.

The good: The room was very comfortable and had modern furniture. The pool area looked really clean and swanky (we didn’t have time to use it). The balcony had a gorgeous view of the water. The bad: The satellite TV service was very glitchy and would cut out every couple of minutes. The Wi-Fi was terribly slow. No coffee maker in the room. The clock in the room was set an hour off (we stayed in January – weeks away from a daylight savings clock change – we went ahead and fixed the time on the clock ourselves). The Hotels.com app said our checkout time was at noon, but the housekeeper was pounding on our door at 10:35am asking us to check out. The ugly: I think this hotel is more accustomed to a “Ritzier” clientele than us. (We’re just a couple of goofy midwesterners who stayed here the night after our cruise 😂)

Did not receive the room I booked. Every time we called the front desk from the room phone, we received no answer; had to call from our personal cell phone. The decor in the room (pictures) looked like my 3 year old daughter hung them; room 3009. This place is way too expensive for the lackluster. Valet takes 30-40 minutes to bring your vehicle down. I was also unaware that valet costs more for trucks. Will not return. Should have went with my first choice of EAST Miami.

Beautiful property on the waterfront. The entire building smells amazing, the bellhops are dressed to the nines, the front desk staff was especially helpful. Special shout out to Julia who sent us a gift when she learned that this was a girls trip between friends of 30 years. Oh, and breakfast at Area 31 was spectacular.

Second time staying at the resort and I don’t think I will stay anywhere else when I’m in Miami. The hotel has excellent amenities that you can enjoy with your loved ones. Free wine every day during a certain time period. Honestly the front day staff is amazing especially (Fernando) every time I see him he asks if everything was ok and if he can help me with anything! Top tier customer service at its best. Great guy he is part of the reason I can back. I told family and friends about my experience. They have intentions to visit the property as well.

Very nice hotel and responsive staff. Located right by the water and just a short walk from Bayside marketplace and the Heat arena. Valet gets very congested around afternoon/dinner time Fri-Sun. Deposit is also $150 a night. Other than that, it was a great time. Would stay here again.

This hotel was very fancy abd and upscale i was pleased to know there's doorbells at every room that's better than knocking. I love the bathrooms with the separate shower and tub all the amenities were nice the mini bar which we didn't touched was stocked. Breakfast was expensive though good. Sobif you eat there dont look for your $154 deposit to go back on your card. The 2 of us was 100.60 for breakfast. Otger than that its a great place to stay. And its also a residence. With a separate entrance from the hotel guest I was told some of the Miami basketball players live there.

I’ve stayed at many Kimpton locations, and the Kimpton EPIC Hotel definitely met my expectations. I stayed in a suite. Even though it wasn’t specified as ocean view, I was still able to see the bay and watch all of the boats pass through the canal and under the drawbridges. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The pool area was pleasant with an ample amount of seating. The restaurant seemed lively even though I didn’t get a chance to stop in. I ordered room service for breakfast and it came in a timely fashion. I would definitely stay here again.

If you aren't interested in the pool party, you don't have many options. The food in the room is over the top $$$. But the decor of the lobby is beautiful. Friendly door and reception staff but room smelt terribly of disinfectant, light in the toilet was broken and we were unable to get hold of anyone to report it over the phone. Television was also very temperamental with even the news channels not working. Charged over $300 for a two course meal with three alcoholic drinks between us, the fish main was overcooked and the salad main was average. Only stayed for one night but won’t be staying again.

We loved this hotel. Just do not eat dinner at the restaurant upstairs. It was terrible and $700. Like horrible but it was great for lunch and snacks. Balcony view was SO good. Room was great. POOL is EPIC!

Had a fantastic stay at the Kimpton EPIC Hotel in Miami! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hosts were truly perfect. We loved the complimentary wine bar at 5 pm—a great touch. The 16th-floor pool was a highlight, offering a relaxing retreat. Our room had a nice balcony, although it’s unfortunate that the new residential high-rise blocks the ocean view. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful experience overall, and we’d definitely stay here again!

The room itself was run down. Chipped furniture, curtains that wouldn’t slide properly, and headboards that looked dirty and worn. But the real issue was cleanliness. The baseboards were visibly dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The shower floor was disgusting. My husband came out after his first shower with the bottom of his foot completely black. We ended up wearing water shoes just to shower after that, and he refused to shower again for the rest of the trip. In Miami. That’s how bad it was. Even the bed wasn’t fully spared. The sheets seemed fine, but the pillow on top had visible black marks on it when we arrived, and I had to request a replacement. We were so uncomfortable that we limited showers for the rest of our two night stay. About two hours after checking in, I called down to ask about changing my reservation because I already knew this wasn’t going to work for me, but I was told cancelling would mean being charged for both nights anyway. The staff were genuinely kind, and that’s the only reason this isn’t a worse review. But no amount of lobby ambiance or DJ sets makes up for a room that isn’t clean. This hotel needs to seriously reassess its housekeeping standards. I won’t be staying here again. Wish I had more photos but honestly it was so disgusting I think we were in shock.
