The hotel was clean and quiet. Hotel doesn't have any free perks to grab a cup of coffee or tea in the lobby. You can buy from the cafe in the lobby, therefore, you have to purchase. I was disappointed, for I was working on my computer and should have been able to have this available.

When i booked my stay i booked under the understanding that the Hotel was equipped with a pool, gym, parking for my vehicle, rooftop space. When getting there i was told by the front desk staff that they had no pool available at the time but i can book a day pass for a pool 5 minutes away from the hotel, and the same for the rooftop. the parking was through a 3rd party company at $67 a nigh. I booked a king deluxe suite with separate sitting area and a view of NY but When i got to my room it was a regular Hotel room with no sitting area and all I wad able to see out the window was buildings and a huge parking garage. Not to mention that the refrigerator was broken. I was so disappointed and will never ever book there again.

Perfect location . Clean and very comfortable with a view of the Manhattan skyline . Parking was easy and the location for walking the Hudson and Newport area was just perfect . The heated pool and jacuzzi open until midnight is a huge plus !

Pros - big room, nice bathroom. Pool and gym area are great. Parking easy and much cheaper than in Manhattan or Brooklyn. Close to everything. PATH nearby as well as a short walk to Paulus. Great restaurants on both sides. Had a great view of two fireworks barges from our window. Cons - mattresses need replacing which is unfortunate in a high-end hotel. We paid for a river view hotel which was actually only partial and mostly blocked, not noted on the Expedia rundown. Once there we were told only suites face the river. Unlike other nice hotels we've stayed in, no 24 hour coffee service or water to refill jugs or to just get a glass. There were two plastic bottles left in our room day two, but would have preferred access to fill refillables (tap was ok for the area but not cold). Staff was really busy so hard to get more than a rushed answer.

Nice property but everything is soo expensive. WiFi $10 per day. Valet parking is $50 per day. Spent $96 on breakfast so get ready to spend. Other than that hotel is nice. Pool closes at 12 midnight, many restaurants in the area and hotel is clean.

Hotel was amazing the breakftast was great. We had dinner at Los Cuernos hands down best tacos . Only thing i would say was a little ridiculous is the parking fee .

This place reeked of mold. Garbage bags full of trash in hallway on 5th floor. Emtey shoe boxes as well. Very inconvenient to get to. Purchasable snacks were limited and strewn about. Soda machine did not work on my floor. This place has seen better days.

I love staying at Westins! The one in Jersey City was easy to park at and in a perfect location to either explore downtown or head to Hoboken/NYC (a short walk across the street to take the path). The staff was friendly and always ready to help. I took one star off as the cleanliness wasn’t up to par with my usual Westin stays. The tissue holder in the bathroom was dusty, our towels had stains and as I was getting dressed to quickly change for dinner (just walked in the room) I stepped on food that wasn’t vacuumed from whoever stayed previously. Cold cuts and crumbs isn’t a pleasant feeling on my foot. Lastly, the bathroom only had enough body wash for my boyfriend. Since it wasn’t as clean as I’d like, it wouldn’t be my first choice for hotels in the area. If my room matched everything on the outside, I’d have it higher on my list

Super easy walk to the PATH station. Hotel was immaculate—lobby and our room. Staff couldn’t have been nicer or more friendly. Parking and local restaurants were very convenient and we felt safe walking at night, too. We will definitely stay here again.

The room was comfortable and the view of nyc was beautiful. What I didn’t like that the room that I booked in Expedia didn’t match the room they gave me. Had to pay 100 bucks on top of the 320 that I paid to get the room that I originally wanted with the view of nyc and the soaking tub. The bed sheets had to be replaced because there were noticeable stains on them. The tub was dirty we cleaned that ourselves.

Absurd - these newly renovated rooms have improperly constructed doors. One room required repeated full body contact to open. But even worse, one member of our group was stuck in the bathroom. At midnight on Saturday night, we had to spend the better part of an hour figuring out how to get inside his hotel room to free him from the bathroom. Thankfully he had brought his phone to the bathroom or he would have been stuck all night! The staff were nice enough, but nothing at all extended as even as gesture to make up for an awful experience. An awful experience that cost $650 a night, by the way! It 8s worth noting, from talking with staff, door problems are not unusual here. We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past - it is generally nice and in a great location. But we won't be staying again.

“I had the best experience at the Westin Jersey City! My daughter wanted to be as close to NYC as possible, and this hotel was the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The location is fantastic—just a quick hop over to the city, but with the peace and quiet we needed to unwind. The room was clean, spacious, and had a stunning view of the skyline, which my daughter absolutely loved. It was the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. Property was great but had a horrible checkout experience with a very rude front desk agent name Stephen. He didn’t say hello just asked what I needed. Didn’t respond to a question I asked which I then asked him if everything was ok or if there was a problem. He was one of the rudest I’ve ever encountered.

The front desk was terrible. They did not notify us. They were turning the water off in the hotel. We’re not willing to lower the rate because of that I am handicapped and I had to go use the public bathroom to go to the bathroom because the toilets in the rooms were too short, and there was no hand bar

We stayed for two nights, and the hotel was a great choice. There’s a paid parking lot right next to the hotel, which was very convenient. If you're on a budget, this is a perfect spot for exploring New York. The subway station is just a few minutes' walk, making it easy to get to the city. Plus, the hotel is very close to the river, and we loved taking walks along the waterfront, enjoying the beautiful views of Manhattan across the river. It was a relaxing and scenic experience! One thing to note is that breakfast was provided as a Grab-to-Go voucher, and if the amount exceeds the voucher value, you need to cover the difference yourself

Wonderful stay! Would definitely come back. Easy to get to Rockefeller center and LGA from Path and Subway lines, so if visiting the city, it’s worth it! The area around was fun to explore as well, lots to do for couples or for the whole family.

Excellent all the way around - staff was friendly and accommodating, rooms were new and clean, lobby was spacious and comfortable, subway (PATH) station is 1 block away (10 minute ride to World Trade Center or 33rd St. midtown). Our particular room had a view of Manhattan, but without the noise. Surrounding neighborhood has great walkable restaurants / coffee options. This is really an excellent value for a NY trip.

The property is overrated. The daily breakfast menu does not have good options, and the weekend buffet is average. The rooms are outdated, with a tub that holds the dirty water. The sofa next to the window was extremely dusty! The Fire &Oak restaurant was overpriced, with mediocre food and a very unfriendly server. The hotel is much smaller than what I expected.

I am a local and have been to the Westin on numerous occasions for brunch/dinner at their wonderful restaurant Fire & Oak. They have a great brunch and the Mac and Cheese is a "must have." This was my first time as a guest in the hotel. The feel of the lobby is very welcoming and the staff was extremely friendly. I reserved a King room, which was very roomy and clean. The bathroom was lovely and their bath and shampoo products were very good. My only issue was that the room was a bit chilly. I turned up the heat but it became cold again at some point in the middle of the night. Hopefully, it was just a glitch that just happened in my room. The Westin is a half-block to two other wonderful restaurants and Newport Mall is just a short walk from there. In addition, there are numerous other restaurants and nightlife in downtown Jersey City. It is also walking distance to the PATH train to New York and the light rail to the waterfront at Exchange Place or the nightlife in Hoboken. Overall, the Westin Jersey City is a great place to stay if you want to avoid NYC prices and a great location if you don't feel like traveling into the city.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the westin! The room had a nice partial view of the financial district in Manhattan and the beds were very comfortable! Great options for dining and the grab n go breakfast option was awesome in the mornings. Will definitely stay again, thank you Westin Jc!
