Cambria Hotel Columbus - Polaris

Hotel is in a good location, plenty of parking, and staff was courteous. However the rooms were not the cleanest. Bedsheets and bathroom towels had stains and hairs on them. We also learned that you need to request daily cleaning. Overall the location was fine but cleanliness could’ve been better.

I had a good stay at the Cambria. However, several cars were broken into in the parking lot while I was there. The hotel staff advised guests to hide valuables. There were signed posted throughout the hotel about the car break-ins in the area. The police were also around checking things out.

Front desk clerk/ manager was very nice and accommodating. Great location near plenty of restaurants within walking distance. My only complaints was the pool and hot tub were dirty. There was hair etc floating around when I walked in the water looked green and you couldn’t see the bottom of the pool as you could if it were cleaned properly. There was no breast or dinner and the bar : kitchen was closed- not a big deal because there were tons of restaurants around. My room only had one roll of toilet paper but the clerk was very accommodating and corrected the issue. Suggestion to management please clean the pool area.

It was a great stay except the pool was closed. Which is due to needing cleaned so we missed it the entire trip

The property was very clean with a unique floor design that made it extra comfortable. Bed was very comfortable and it was pleasantly quiet. Staff was great. Just a few minor things that didn't really impact our stay. 1. Jaccuzzi was not working 2. The shower amenities had fallen off the wall and the body wash was empty. Aside from that, we would definitely stay again.

Daughter and i chose this particular hotel for the hot tub and pool. Pool was functional although that night full of birthday party children which was fine. But the hot tub inoperable, ice machine on our floor also inoperable. Rooms were clean. Hallways need some attention, couple doors had plastic taped over and carpet in areas ripped up.

We travel a lot and this ranks at one of the worst hotels we have stayed at. We booked a suite as we had extra family traveling. When we went to bed after arriving we found our bedding and mattress urine stained. Nothing was done that evening and we were left with multiple people sharing a bed. Management the next day did bring in a new mattress. However, some of the family had already flown back home. With the issues of the night no one in the room slept. I will say management did apologize and did fix it. The staff was friendly as well and the next night we did sleep as we had enough room. Also, one of the reasons we stayed here for the first time was they stated they had a pool and hot tub. Hot tub did not work and pool was cloudy so we decided not to use. When we reported to staff they said, “ they know it’s been that way for a long time.” We definitely won’t be staying here again!

Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Nice bathrooms. Pool and hot tub “out of order”

Clean, comfortable bar & seating area. Room was nice. Would really benefit from hooks to hang coats or accessories. Hot tub not working, this was disappointing for us. We booked here mostly for that.

The room had a terrible smell -- like mold from a flooded room/bathroom. It was terrible. It was a handicap-accessible room and the toilet paper roll holder was broken, making it impossible for someone to use if indeed in a wheelchair. The bed was so soft that my daughter and I would wake up rolled into the middle. It was a 4-star that really was much closer to a 1.75-star. The pool had trash floating in it.

Very happy within overall experience. From check in to check out, exceeded my expectation. Hotel was very nice, room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Definitely would recommend and would stay again.

The hotel is very misleading. The lobby is very beautiful and clean. As soon as you leave the entry area the hallways are stifling hit and have a strange odor. The room we were provided was dirty, had water damage in the corner, there was no body wash or shampoo in the contains in the bathroom and the bottles were covered in mold. The lamp shades were all broken and we even found bobby-pins on the floor.

This place was pretty nice looking and pretty up to date but I was disappointed with the fact that there was black mold in the in various obvious areas in the bathroom and staff only wants to offer you free breakfast to compensate for it

I am going to list this as bullet points sine too much was not acceptable. 1) black mold on walls 2) black mold on wall paper 3) black mold on vents 4) black mold found throughout the hallway and signs of water 5) no refund from the hotel was given even though my family including 4 year old and 6 month old left due to health risk. We had to leave and find another hotel to stay at in the evening causing lots of stress to the children due to travelling during the day and left with a hotel that should not be open to the public due to black mold healt concerns throughout the building and hvac system. 6) I am left with a list day of vacation, stressed and irritated baby and young son, no compensation from the hotel and no repayment for all the lost time, stress and loss of sleeping arrangements. I am not clear if the black mold will cause any long term issues to myself or my family

While the room was not dirty, there was mold on top of the shampoo/conditioner holder in shower, refrigerator was VERY loud, could hear the people above us, hook for towel(s) gone and had to request more tissues & toilet paper!

We found the place to very dirty compared to other hotels in this company that we have stayed at. We would have love to sit in the hot tub. But there was a birthday party going on and all the kids were in it.

The room is spacious, spotless and the bed was very comfy! We fell in love with the bartender and his service was amazing! Highly recommend this place!

Spacious room & bathroom, appreciated full sized toiletries & decent sized bath towels! Curtains had some sort of stain with hair in it which is why cleanliness is 4/5. And air conditioner worked well but was loud & rattled, which wasn’t ideal.

I’m a bit surprised this hotel was so highly rated. There is visible wear and tear in the hallways and on the room doors. Furnishings in the room were also worn and the lampshade was torn. There were some splatters and stains on the wallpaper in our room. In addition, the pool was closed the night we were there, and there was no hot water the night we checked in - the water was warm enough to shower the next morning but not very hot. On the plus side, the location of the hotel is convenient and the bed was comfortable. Overall, I would not likely stay here again, especially given all the other properties in the immediate area.

Very nice lobby. Room was fine - we had a 2 king suite. It was very spacious. A bit outdated, and the light on the mirror in the bathroom didn’t work. It was good for what we needed.

Stay was great! The A/C made loud noise in the middle of the night.

The accommodations were comfortable and the bed was nice. Only problem was a major tear in the window curtain.

Overall, it was fine, for the price of the room. There are definitely a lot of things that I would like to see a little bit nicer. For example, the phone in the room did not work at all so in order to call the front desk, I had to call off of my cell phone And then wait to get someone at the hotel. The iron was broken and the ironing board had no cover on it and was useless. I asked for replacement and they brought an ironing board that was even more unsafe than the one that they had before because it wouldn’t even stand up straight and as soon as you put the iron on it, it fell over because it was so incredibly wobbly. My neck hurt from the pillows as they were not to my liking, but that’s not the hotel but they were definitely cheap pillows. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again even though the hot tub and pool were nice.

Very clean but the pillows on the bed were very stiff and the size of small decorative pillows. Most uncomfortable nights sleep ever

My wife and I stayed at the Cambria Polaris in RM 221 on Saturday to Sunday, September 13-14. Daytime temperatures reached 86 degrees. The air conditioning failed to lower the temperature on Saturday evening and we needed to lie on the bed with no covers on and the window open (to the extent possible) before the temperature eventually became tolerable enough for us to fall asleep early the following morning. We were told to contact the manager on the following Monday for compensation since neither maintenance nor an alternate room was available that evening. I attempted to contact the manager several times by phone but the VM did not accept messages, so I sent an email asking the hotel to please provide us with at least a partial refund of the cost of our stay. I received no response.

Worst Hotel Ever This hotel is a complete nightmare. The staff is incredibly rude and have no clue how to treat guests. Our room was filthy – dirt everywhere, the bed sheets were disgusting and had clearly not been changed from previous guests, and the bathroom was full of hair. To make matters worse, the front desk yelled at me for no reason. These people are unprofessional

We visit the area every year for an SCTP Competition held in Marengo, OH. Last year we stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. So, we decided to stay here again, but it was not a good choice. We arrived on Sunday and planned to leave the following Sunday. The second day, the room was cleaned and towels were replenished. However, every day after that, we had to go to the front desk to get clean towels, more coffee, extra toilet paper, and to gather our own trash and put it in the hall. We were never told we needed to request housekeeping 24 hours in advance until the second-to-last day. When I asked why I wasn’t told that at check-in, they pointed at a sign at the front desk that said all information was listed there. I said it would have been helpful to know when we checked in or during our other visits for towels, and they said sorry. We didn't request it on the first night, but housecleaning came by anyway, so we didn't realize we had to request it. The pool was not very clean - a little foggy. We stayed on the second floor, and then the ice machine was broken. I would go to the first floor to get ice, but by day 4, that machine was broken as well. When I told the front desk, they acknowledged it. On the last day, they offered to get some ice from the bar when I told them the machines were down again. We won't be returning to this hotel. It has a great location for many attractions and dining options, but the service was disappointing.

Cambria is manned by incompetent maintenance workers and clueless front desk staff. I was there two nights without air conditioning. Room was at least 75-80 degrees and humid. Alerted front desk night one and was told the maintenance staff had gone home and there were no fans. Tried to sleep and couldn’t. Complained again next morning that thermostat was dead. Front desk staff assured me that maintenance would take care of it or they’d get me a new room. Came back from my day’s activities and the room was still 80, but there was a pre-printed card from maintenance saying the problem was fixed. Thermostat still dead. Called front desk, no open rooms. Told him that I was assured there’s be a room and he said that the assurance should not have been made because they’d been booked solid that night for awhile. Front desk clerk did find a fan, but it did little to help. He did offer - get this - a coupon for a free breakfast. (Oh, yeah, no free breakfast here unless you can’t sleep two nights.). Cannot recommend finding a different hotel more. Unless you like heat and humidity in your room - or expect other problems to be resolved- avoid this place like the plague.

Staff were super friendly. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Very modern features in the room . The only negative is you have to pay extra for breakfast.

Close to shopping and eateries.

Very upset about our stay last night at the Cambria hotel Polairs Ohio. My Husbands truck was broken into along with several others. Nothing was taken but the glass will be very expensive not to mention the time it will take to get it fixed. I know the hotel takes no responsibility but what I want to say is, the absolute nonchalant attitude towards us was unbelievable. Total lack of empathy.  Yes there is a sign in the elevator warning of break-ins, by the time we saw that...well it was after midnight and we had already paid. Where were we going to go? As well as give up the money. Of course had we been aware before hand we would not have stayed there and that is why no one gets that kind of information, right, because you can't make money that way. There are two other hotels in the same spot.  Why on Gods green earth wouldn't someone have the smarts to get with them and share an overnight security service?! I will not recommend this hotel for that reason, not the actual break in, but the total complacency and seemingly blind eye to what may happen to the folks trusting a safe, clean stay at this hotel conglomerate. The room was good enough, though the air didn't work consistently (78°) in the room all night and the a shower floor flooded. So no we won't be coming back, maybe to any choice hotels. Very poor consumer care.

It's hard to argue with the area around Polaris and this hotel is a good option if you are visiting the area on are on business. Very easy access to I-71 to either go into town or for when you're leaving.

Easy in and out for my kids and I! Quick highway access!

Visiting friends in area.... convenient tly located

This was a very clean and nice place to stay. Will definitely be coming back here again. Shopping area within 5 minutes alimg with many restaurants in the area to choose from. Staff was very friendly.

Convenience of access and location.

Pool was cold. Very loud at 130am in front of building woke people up. Alot of arguing. Eventually it quieted down didnt see any police. Was anyone working front desk? Didnt seem safe .

A great location right off the highway, lots of restaurants close by. I ate at the lobby lounge. They source their meat from local ranch, the cheeseburger was great with a nice selection of craft beers. Breakfast in the morning was very reasonable. Friendly staff.

Low dining options. Breakfast ended too quickly. Front desk check-in at late night was easy and a great experience. Trying to get breakfast in the AM was a poor experience.

The hotel was supposed to have a breakfast buffet. When we were ready for breakfast, there was no buffet but instead a small cafe available. We were very disappointed at the false advertisement. The website should always be correct for the hotel.

Excellent property, only thing was, no free breakfast. They did have a restaurant on the property. Food and shopping close by, but you needs car.
