I stay here often with no problems. It’s in a great location and the rooms are comfortable. It has a decent fitness room. My pet peeve with this hotel is that it has ONE microwave to service an ENTIRE hotel of guests. There are none in the rooms and none of the floors. Saturday night we were all standing in line to use the microwave in the lobby. And this microwave is very low power, it took forever to heat everyone’s food. There is more than enough counter space for at least two microwaves. And I won’t mention the vastly overpriced snack area. Invest in microwaves, please.

The hotel needs major upfitting. One elevator is broken. The oven is broken so limited food options. Outlets and switches in room didn’t work. I hope Marriott is planning to bring this hotel up to par.

Love the hotel and use this chain a lot when I travel, but this location is horrible. I would not suggest staying there when there is an event in town. You have to take an elevator from the street to the 5th floor and then change to another elevator to get to your room. I went to the hotel after a concert at the spectrum center and there was a line at the first elevator. Security was telling us that only 4 people could enter at a time, even though there was a sign in the elevator that said you could fit 10. Only one elevator was working. It literally took me an hour and 15 minutes to get to my room. Security would not even open the doors to the stairwell even if you showed them your key card. Horrible experience, not to mention parking was $40 a night, the highest I have ever paid at one of their hotels.

We were in town for the College Football Dukes Mayo Bowl game on the 27th of December. The same day (27th) Marriott decided to have all of the water shut off from 11am to 4pm. No shower, sink, toilets to use. Game didn’t start till 5:30pm. No disclosure prior to booking, no offer of a discount. We asked for one and we were told none available. The staff there was unaware as well! They were as shocked as we were about it. The only information was a piece of paper taped to the front desk. Now, the staff is awesome! Super friendly and helpful! But corporate is terrible! They had a booked out hotel and still didn’t make arrangements to change maintenance or offer us anything for the inconvenience. One couple had their room flooded because of the water, destroyed their clothing and all Aloft did for them was give them the address of a self serve laundry mat and some money to go wash their own clothes! How infuriating! I will never stay here again, which isn’t fair to the staff and is not a reflection of their work. But a direct reflection of Marriott and there lack of communication and care for their patrons. Also, if you decide to go ahead and stay there, be aware that the lobby is on the 5th floor of the building, no where to park street side to get your belongings out and there is ONE elevator for the entire hotel patrons and staff to use to get to the rooms! And it doesn’t work very well at all!

The parking was the worst . The staff should let people know that the valet switch sites and i ended up paying 54.00 to self park which was crazy. Other than that the hotel was nice and clean . But yeah get that parking together

15th Floor hallway floor was really dirty. Room very clean and comfortable No bartender, so bar was closed, but the desk staff went the extra mile by jumping in and serving anyway.

Overall the stay was fine. The elevators were not working well. For part of the time they worked but after check-in they did not work and bags had to be carried up the stairs which was fine but there was no offer to take them for us which was a let down being the cost for this hotel was rather high. Better customer service in this case should have been done. The other problem was they offered bar/food services was available until 10:30 pm but returning to the hotel from our event at 9:00 pm they had stopped service for the evening.

I enjoyed my three night stay at the property. It is two blocks from the convention center and three blocks from the arena. The property is in a great location, has a great bar, offers a pool table, shuffle board, and cornhole all inside. The gym was decent too if a little small. Plenty of dining options in the area. A four block walk to Duckworth's is absolutely worth it and we did it twice!

Aloft has gone way down hill but this one is by far the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Dirty rooms including carpet stains, hair in the sheets, what appeared to be blood in the shower were just some of the issues with this hotel. The rooms were hot even with the air wide open and everything in the rooms is falling apart. Do not stay here!

We liked how many restaurants there were around the hotel. One elevator was broken down and the wait for the one in operation was long. The room was sort of grungy and there was human hair on the pillows and sheets. There were no extra blankets and only two towels. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Yikes. Have stayed at other Aloft properties so booked for a 48 hours trip without even thinking. Disheveled staff and front desk (papers everywhere), filthy elevators and hallways (crumbs, stains, etc) and a musky smell in the rooms. Someone had used the room toilet before I checked in. Felt unsafe with homeless folks begging for money right outside the hotel. Does not seem like a secure hotel at all.

I wore black socks in my room 623. They were covered in white dog hair after walking through the room. The toilet didn’t flush and the mirror to the bathroom is broken with duct tape on it. The hallway carpets are musty and dirty. The 6th floor hall has a large hole in the wall covered by tape and a trash bag. Horrific.

The hotel was the dirtiest I have ever seen it. There was stuff in the lobby over all of the mirrors and walls. It smelled so bad of weed. In our room there was dirt and dust everywhere. This is where we usually like to stay but I’m not so sure anymore

Your location is great! The staff is very friendly and willing to assist. Unfortunately our experience in the room was less than what we expected. There are several signs that the wall switch controls the blinds. But one of the two blinds did not work. It was impossible to sleep with all the city lights so we reluctantly manually pulled the shade down. The next morning I reported the non working shade, the very slow draining bathroom sink, and the refrigerator was freezing my fresh food. (Yes, I looked for an adjustment but there was none inside the refrigerator or where I could access on the outside). The reception staff said maintenance was due to work any minute and would come up to our room first. After an hour, they had not showed and we had an appointment. I stopped by the desk to let them know we would be out but they were welcome to come inside to fix it. When we returned several hours later, nothing had been done. When I inquired again, the maintenance men finally came. They said they fixed everything. Well, it was fixed for a few minutes. That evening. The water backed up and the shade would not come down. I pulled my fresh food from the refrigerator figuring it wasn’t working right either. My husband diligently kept trying to get the shade come down since we did not want to manually pulled it down again. He finally got it to inch down and close. It would not raise up in the morning.

Location was great and the rooms were okay. But the walls were very thin. We were woken up by our next door neighbor past midnight. We heard their conversation and laughter. Fortunately, the room does come with ear plugs, I highly recommend using them if you’re trying to sleep.

The staff at the Aloft was super-friendly, and the location in uptown Charlotte is great. And while I expect noise in a city, the design of the room, with high ceilings and a "loft" feel, means that there's a LOT of noise, both from adjoining rooms and the outside. We knew exactly when the people in the room next to us came home (about 3 AM) and exactly what they were doing in the room (they had fun). Again, great friendly staff, room was clean and exactly what we expected, I just wish there was any sort of noise dampening/privacy.

The front desk receptionist was very rude. We had an incident in our room from someone getting sick and left us in a room with throw up for 6 hours with no sheets! Cute property but I will never stay here again the staff is horrible!

“Vinny” at the front desk was extremely rude. Also when I checked in didn’t get the room I booked because “usually people down show up after 12am”. My number was written down by 2 people to have the manager call me but they never did. Great property but was lacking in great staff.

The front desk staff wasn't professional. I called and asked for assistance with early check in and essentially was told no. After coming in for dinner one of the clerks was very upset with a guest who had made inappropriate remarks to her and was expressing that she was going to have her kicked out. When i went to the bar, the bartender was cleaning the glasses never looked up at me and simply did we don't open until 5. The windows in my room were very dirty and the carpets were dirty throughout the hotel. Also it's very inconvenient to need to use your key to use the elevator. I would never stay at this hotel again.

My frustration with this property was finding it. Went around block 3 times. Should definitely be better marked. Also located right at bus station busy area. Property itself very comfortable. Easy parking after I figured it out.

From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, everything was amazing. The location of this hotel was PERFECT as well. Super close to spectrum arena and plenty of stuff to do within a block. 10/10

I was a little disappointed when I checked in after hard day travel of flight delay in the late hour's and inquired about food suggestions and deliveries the night staff was was dismissive and suggested I call DoorDash which is fine but being in strange city you have I had no idea . Imagine my surprise the next morning I found out there was a 24 hour ipen Redeye Diner connected the Aloft and a shopping center. I was surprised staff didnt know that. But the morning team were wonderful.

Chose because it’s close to Belk Theater. Restaurants are also close. Parking can be confusing.Park in the Epicenter deck but continue to the valet area. It’s less expensive with in/out privileges. The blinds didn’t work in our room but Liz quickly moved us to another room. Great customer service! Forget the “breakfast” and head to the RedEye Diner. You won’t be disappointed!

The check in staff were excellent. The room was laid out well and the bedding was really nice. The only negative was we were told the bar area would remain open until 10:30. We arrived at the bar around 9:45 to hang out for a little while and the bar tender informed us he was closing at 10 because it was slow. Some big groups arrived a few minutes past 10 and were not served.

My husband and I were told that the hotel kitchen was broke when we arrived. In which we paid 50-60 bucks for breakfast for 2 during booking. They told us that the money was nonrefundable and that they would provide danishes for breakfast. Poor advertisement and poor business ethics.

Having to pay $25-$30 per day to park is definitely on the high side. Cute hotel. Clean. Dog friendly. Bar area looked nice, didnt use it as this was a quick one night trip. Was very humid in hallways. Room was spacious, had great views, comfortable. Was told incorrect times for breakfast, so missed out. Staff very friendly.
