Indoor pool could have used a cleaning. Not a good color.

Enjoy my visit. Only problem the indoor swimming pool was cold! Need to heat it more.

The moment we walked in the door there was an unpleasant aroma. The room was ok, but the bathroom was rough. The toilet seat wasn’t the right fit for the toilet. Tiles were loose in the floor and holes on the wall from old shower curtain rods. Pool was also dingy and dirty. No lights at night.

Leanne was very attentive, respectful and friendly. She provided more sheets and blankets when asked even though these were requested in my booking . The property manager decided to add cleaner to the pool 30mins before we arrived and we were told to use the spa/pool at our own risk and if our eyes start getting irritated or we start coughing we should get out. Pool should’ve been cleaned earlier in the week knowing spring breakers would be traveling. The pool was freezing cold for being an indoor pool, there was a space heater on but no heat coming out. The spa was so dirty I had to pull out 2 water bugs.The floor in the pool room was so slippery since it seems like no one cleans or mops. My kids slipped 2x and they were walking not running, so dangerous! The elevator didn’t work the morning after, thank god for stairs. There were very few items for breakfast provided. The room was decent for a family of 5, restroom was stocked except there was an empty Kleenex box. The trash cans were miniature for a family room. Location was convenient since it’s close to Dinosaur World and Dinosaur Valley but will definitely look into staying in another city nearby instead of this hotel.

Clean rooms, easy to park ( I have a big truck that it’s easy to turn in small parking lots) lots of room to park. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is the indoor pool was colder than outside. My daughter wanted to swim but I couldn’t stay more than 20 minutes because it was 40 degrees in the pool area. My daughter loved it because she stayed in the hot tub the whole time. Lol

The property was quiet and clean. The indoor pool was the perfect temperature and a nice touch to get out of the rainy weather during my stay.

Everything was fine other than the spa not working and our key nor the managers key could get us in the fitness center. My wife and i was looking forward to relaxing in the spa and me and my boy was going to get in a little exercise. Other than that it was fine.

Very clean and accommodating to guests but needs more upgrading (e.g. elevator was not working all the time.) Staff tried very hard to address all concerns raised. Great breakfast menu, refilled immediately and coffee was very hot!! I hope they complete upgrades and do well.

Elevator did not work reliably. Had to bring luggage down stairs at departure. Hardly any staff at front desk. Hot tub heated the first night but not the second, indoor pool horn and no lights came on at dusk. Looked for switches and found the pool equipment room unlocked! Very unsafe !!!

Blood on a pillowcase on the bed and the floor was so dirty in our room it turned my grandsons feet black and my daughters pants :-( would never stay again

What appeared to be a blood stain on the sheets on one of the bed and on the door of the bathroom. Nobody at the desk on departure to talk to about the cleanliness.

Hotel was very outdated and decrepit. Room door lock was not secure or latch. Side door on first floor was not locked, ever. Furniture was old and dirty. Carpets were dirty. Bad experience overall. LaQuinta is usually nice. Not this one.

The hotel was very gross and not clean. There was mold in the showers. The shower curtain rod was falling off the walls, used empty shampoo bottles were left in the bathroom, parts of the wall trimming was coming off, the blankets they gave us had rips on it. Overall do not recommend. We even complained and got another room. Both rooms were terrible.

Rooms smells like mildew, hard/smaller beds than I purchased, shower curtain length too short, remote to tv didn’t work.

I’m not sure how this property has any type of acceptable rating. The only thing halfway decent about this property is the exterior paint. Our room was absolutely filthy. If I hadn’t been so busy and simply needing a bed, I would have left the moment I entered the room. I have photos of how disgusting the room was, and if I am unable to upload here, I will on google, yelp and booking. I will never recommend this property to ANYone. Maintenance neglect and plain filthy housekeeping. No excuses for the condition of this room.

Staff is amazing as always, very friendly and always helpful. The facility itself has major signs of wear all over, dead cockroach in my room when checking in, a/c in room incredibly loud, so much so that I had to turn it off to sleep. All over the hotel needs major renovations. After finding the dead cockroach I had to Lysol the entire room wipe everything with Clorox wipes, which also proved the bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all. We have stayed here for years when coming to Glen Rose and sadly this will probably be the last time.

Room smelled like mildew as we walked in. Staff was average. Overall the hotel was dated and needed repairs. The bathroom door would not close due to intense moisture issues. There appeared to be ceiling stains repainted. And the vent looked like it had never been cleaned so air flow was poor. Floor was not tiled properly and loose.The ac unit in bedroom was blowing air that did not smell or feel clean. Felt sticky. Closure inspection showed a very dirty filter with possible mold. We arrived late, tired and decided to stay the night but cancelled the 2nd night agreeing it was not worth the amount they were charging. Was difficult to sleep and left early without eating. We just wanted out! Hotels xom was very understanding and assisted with the cancelation!

Property looks good from the road even though it’s literally built in the backyard of a private home. Lobby is updated. Breakfast is free… usual free stuff. Wonderful night manager! Can’t say that enough about her!! Room 302 looked clean. 2-room suite. Fluffy pillows. Lots of them. We checked the mattress, as always, for bedbugs. No sign of any. Nada. Not until 4am when I woke up to them crawling on my face and all over those fluffy pillows. Dozens of the them all over the bed and the pillows and coming out from behind the headboard. The night manager helped us get our stuff bagged up in trash bags and moved to another room. She was very apologetic. She let us check out the new room first… no sign of pests. But, lawdy, I had already been fooled once that night. Could not sleep. Kept the lights on. I’m sure they cleaned the room again, fluffed the pillows and got it ready for the next sucker. The owner comp’d us one night stay. That’s it. No free weekend. And worse than that…no apology. Some memories are best left behind in Glen Rose. Avoid.

Absolutely disgusting. We ended up having to turn off our A/C unit on a 109 degree day, due to the mold infestation inside the unit. Pics available. With 2 young kids we ended up needing to leave the property.

They’re still remodeling but that hasn’t been a problem. It’s pretty quiet for the most part, walls are a bit thin though.

The bathroom door would not close and didn't look like it was repair as the door overlapped the frame. The electrical at the desk was not working and I was working remotely. Had to sit on the bed all day to keep laptop connected. AC was definitely struggling, couldn't get it below 72. Bugs in the bathroom.

Rooms and building are in need of maintenance that look neglected for a couple years. Doors don’t close, door locks don’t work trim around windows and AC units are missing pieces paint is pealing off. Staff was nice but unhelpful. Probably won’t be back.

Noisy a/c and fridge. Bathroom door is not closing!!

Our room door was broken, would have to use strength to get in. Also our shower curtain was broken and it would get a lot of water on the floor. Pool wasn’t the cleanest but it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was perfect, they had a little of everything. Nice staff and clean room.

Nice little hotel. The beds could improve as well as additional pillows. For 2 queen beds there were only 6 pillows total and they were flat. The room was clean and the ac works perfect! We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The security hook on our door was broken. That should be fixed. Broken tile in bathroom. Faucet in tub does not turn off all the way so leaks/runs. No soap at bathroom sink but got some from the front desk. The shower gel was nearly empty. Uncomfortable bed and flat pillows, sheets were worn and piley. It was ok for 1 night but we wouldnt stay there again.

The overall condition of the hotel (lobby, grounds, etc) was good but our room had so many issues. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, the pillows were garbage, the shower curtain rod was about to fall off and therefore the curtain couldn’t close properly and water got all over the floor. The bathroom sink didn’t drain well and one of our hand towels had a yellow stain over most of it. There were hairs in the tub and the surface of the tub was so slick that I slipped and just about fell getting into the shower.

The bathroom door wouldn't close all the way! The furniture was extremely scratched. The dark shade couldn't be raised so the room was uncomfortable dark. Phone didn't work. Very disappointing for a LaQuinta.

Our room had dog food left on the floor (we didn’t have a dog with us), the elevators didn’t work and the bead bolt on the door would not lock. Every time I went to talk to someone and the front desk their was no one there or you had to wait 10-15 minutes for them to show up.

All staff was very friendly & helpful. I enjoyed the free, hot breakfast every morning. The biscuits were so good!

The room and property was very clean and easy to get too. on the negatives, first, the desk clerk was not friendly and welcoming at all. Second, the door locks did not function well. Initially I could not get the door open and asked the desk clerk. He opened it easily but then it would not open for me again. Another guest said he had trouble with his as well and told me to insert the key card twice. It did work for him but continued to give me trouble until I learned that if you pulled the door tightly closed before inserting the key card it would open. I think the electronic lock is working but the latch is hanging. The only other complaint is that the plunger you pull up to switch from bathtub to shower is stuck forcing you to use the shower only. I might also mention that the handicap parking was constantly occupied with vehicles that did not all have a handicap permit. My wife is on a walker and oxygen and had to walk uphill to get to the door.

We were severely delayed by weather on our flight. We came in exhausted and the staff went above and beyond to be ready for us.

The front desk experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Before booking, we called and spoke with a gentleman at the front desk who assured us that an extra single bed would be provided. However, upon arriving after a two-hour drive, the front desk manager (a lady) told us they could not accommodate our request. Her response was shockingly rude, saying, *"You spoke to someone else, not me. I’m the manager here. If you want to cancel the booking, I’ll cancel it for you."* This level of dismissiveness is unacceptable, especially for a family traveling with two young children on a road trip. With an event happening in the city, it was nearly impossible to find alternative accommodations for a family of five. The lack of empathy and customer service was incredibly frustrating and added unnecessary stress to our trip. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Carpet very very dirty. Sofa bed with big stain and very dirty. Had to ask for 2 times to change rooms. 1st because the security lock of the door was broken and the refrigerator was freezed. But I asked to change mostly because of security. The second time I asked to change because I asked for an additional pillow to cover the stain of the sofa bed and the staff denied me an additional pillow. So I asked to change rooms where I could have a none stain and cleaner bed. Not much of a difference because this one was falling apart and had holes everywhere. The lady that denied me the pillow should be ashame of her self!! More issues but those are the most serious. Come on you guys service to clients should be priority for your hotel. And cleaness with so much bacteria and virus going aroud has to be a most. Have to improve in every aspect. Ohhh , and when I called and asked for sheets for the sofa bed they told me I had to go to front desk and get them!!! Whatt??? Come on ..there was a whole bunch off the staff sitting in a room just laughing and having fun. But nobody to bring me my sheets. You have faied in all aspects!!

Friendly helpful staff. Clean and maintained

It started with the check-in process. The attendant was very rude and refused to try to help until we threatened.

We stayed 1 night. Hotel was nice. Staff was nice as well. It was receptionist 1st day at work when we were checking out and she was extremely helpful. Went above and beyond. Will definitely stay again.

Great location within 10 minutes of Dinosaur Valley State Park, Big Rock Park, the river walk, and Dinosaur World. Staff are extremely friendly.

My family and I love that it has an inside pool. It’s very safe for our grandkids in these late days of summer high temperatures to be inside and avoid heat exhaustion. We also like that it’s so close to restaurants and attractions. You can’t beat that! It’s our second time staying at La Quinta and will do it again in the future

It was inexpensive. The little town is walking distance and very cute. My brother stayed in a differnt hotel that was down the street and he hated it.

Quiet. Nice. Easy to check in and get around town from its location.

Breakfast was better than most. Eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, etc… I really wish the hot tub was HOT but didn’t have time to address the issue. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms! Would stay again. Convenient location. Dog friendly, reasonable rate for dogs to stay. Free parking, free internet. Enjoyed our stay!

Our family of 5 has stayed here multiple times over the last few years. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Bathroom and shower doors need some TLC. They either won't stay shut or get jammed. Continental breakfast is quite good. Plenty of fresh food that is well stocked.

I liked the Breakfast that they served. It was very good.

The property is in good condition. I found the room to be spacious and neat as well. The complimentary breakfast was a big letdown. Starting with the plasticky plates which I've never seen in a hotel before. Also, the first time I did not feel like a second helping of the scrambled eggs which is usually a favorite.

It was a good hotel, loved the shower! The only complaint I have is the breakfast, it was very blan. Maybe do some variety! Other than that, I'd definitely stay there again!

Best breakfast.

The breakfast was great. Waffles, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, bagels, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee, just about everything. The dining area was large and clean as opposed to a tiny cubby space off the main entry. The only problem I had was a door lock that had a difficult time taking my keycard. For two days, I had to go down to the desk to have someone let me in my room. Finally, the woman I dealt with the most took a contraption and plugged it into the door lock, which finally took care of the issue. I would recommend this La Quinta for value, cleanliness and great staff.

Breakfast menu was the same for 7 of the 8 days we were there. They could not get OJ during that time either. Bathroom toilet did nit get clean for 2 days. Has to ask. Rest of room was maintained nicely
