The website needs to be updated I paid over a 109 dollars to swim and everything was either broken or out of order. Prices should be dropped for future guests until your hotel is up and running properly for the people who respect your hotel. Cable was excellent though. Ac sucked and the bathroom vent was also broke.

Hallway extremely dirty, elevator out of order, did not clean for the second day of rental after two requests. Stairs were filthy and elevator stunk.

Nice hotel. The rear parking area is not lighted and thus very dark. Nice clean room with comfortable bed. During the rain I could smell musty pet odor. Just a little, only during the rain. Out of waffle batter for breakfast.

We came to Bay City to spend some time at the beach . The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! The breakfast was great. The security doors did not work with key access but other than that we really enjoyed our stay! This is the BEST SMELLING hotel I have ever stayed in! I will stay here again!

Lights in rear of building parking area not working. Dark, next to street, prefect area for breakins or robbery. Out side building door on end of building not locking. Had a couple upstairs of our room with a kid that kept running in the room, woke us up. Wife called desk, desk person could not be bothered to call the room upstairs and ask them to keep down the noise. It sounded like a herd of elephants. Toilet seat very LOOSE, and my wife is disabled, had trouble staying in place.

We had such a great experience here. The breakfast was great, had a coffee pot and a keurig, and the place overall was very clean. Comfortable beds too. Great parking. Good location.

This room was the cleanest I’ve EVER stayed in BayCity and the heater/A/C unit worked great

This was a horrible experience! The elevator wasn’t working properly. The tv and phone in the room wasn’t working at all. The toilet was absolutely disgusting! Blood was on the handle and toilet seat. There were also splashes of possibly urine all over the toilet as well.

Spend the extra $30 and stay at the nicer hotels. We always stay in La Quinta's and love them but this one was dirty. The bathroom had new towels out but didn't look to have been cleaned otherwise (mirrors, shower, sink), there was mold all in the shower, the bedspreads had something black all over them, the floors hadn't been vaccumed and the breakfast buffet was a joke.

Mold on bath ceiling. It looked as if it was attempted to be covered up by paint. Hallways were dirty, needed vacuuming. Reception people were really friendly and helpful. The property definitely needs a revamp.

Reserved for overnight fishing trip. Got there late, and front desk was great and prompt. Got to the room at almost 2am, after fishing all day in a nearby town. The bathroom ceiling was nothing but mold. There was a dirty wash towel in the bathroom on the floor between the toilet and shower. There was dried urine on the toilet seat.... Now again 2AM, and we were more tired than pissed. We have been in some shady places, so decided, the beds were clean, and we are only getting 4-5 hours sleep so time to crash after cleaning up. In AM, went down to eat breakfast. No Juice, just water or milk. Eggs looked old, hashbrowns were torn apart and sausage was gray. McDonald's it is. And when we went back to our room to pack up and go, both our keys were deactivated. Fully disappointed in a chain that has been good in other locations. Fully disappointed in Hotels.com in the rating applied, and in me for wasting my built up credits to lower cost.

Breakfast was severely lacking from previous visits. Rooms were stuffy and humid. Blood stain on a sheet. Landscaping looks like no one cares. Towels like sand paper.

Friendly atmosphere but room was not clean. There were dead roaches in bathtub, trash and someone dirty socks under AC plus the bed sheets on one of the beds didn’t smell clean. They were dirty.

I stayed here for work. After a long drive across the state I arrived at midnight. The guy at the front desk was super sweet and went above and beyond. I get to the room get in bed and think I see something in the bed with me. I get up and I don’t see anything. I get up at 5am head to work. I get off work at 1am and drag into the room and crash. The next morning I wake up and there are baby roaches climbing all over the night stand and TV. I’m now paranoid that I may have brought a critter home with me. Don’t stay here unless you want to take a friend home with you. On the plus side the customer service part was great!

Not so good . 1) there was no shampoo for the showers. Had to go down stairs. 2) not sure if the microwave was cleaned out because there was McDonald’s french fries in the microwave. 3) I was in room 311 the air conditioner was not working properly, my room was very humid, when I woke up the next day could not figure out why I was nauseated. As soon as I leave the hotel within a couple hours, I would feel better.. could not sleep for the two nights. I stayed there, due to the humidity inside the room. I make a trip to Texas a couple times a year and I will not be staying here again. Thank you Lisa mora

Bathroom 'ceiling' light not operable. Too few wash cloths. Noisey pets all night.

Couldn’t open door to get in the Room. TV didn’t work. The Lady on the front desk was helpful to get us in the Room. She fixed the TV but couldn’t change the Channels. My Brother & his wife had the same issues. The worst hotel experience I have had and I have traveled all over this World. I paid for two Rooms , I forgot-the bed was very comfortable! Good price, but walls are thin & you can hear noise from other rooms easily. Not great if you want peace & quiet. Overall good

Every was great except the ac unit wasn't kicking in properly and the room was not cooling well.

Air conditioner window unit was very loud. I had to turn it off to sleep. Breakfast was VERY lame. I ended up stopping at McDonald's.

No phone in room. The light in restroom didn’t work only one light which was very deem and yellow, couldn’t put on my makeup. The whole toilet was loose, I almost fell when it was tilting. The key card didn’t work 3 times, I had to go downstairs to get it rescan. Coffee was warm not hot, didn’t have any good choices or fruit. Won’t come back

My first room had hair in the bed and stains on the fitted sheet.. after moving me to an updated sweet the room had low lighting and 3 of the four lamps were not plugged in and one of them had no lightbulb.. the rest of the room was fine and the staff was quick to try and resolve the issue. It was a decent experience and I was able to charge my EV no problem over night. Given the same budget in the future I may consider staying here again.

It’s a good location close to restaurants great service 10/10

The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We arrived very late and got checked in fine. When we took showers, the drain was so slow you ended up with ankle deep water. Since it didn't drain properly, it left the tub very slick. When we turned on the tv, the cable box did not work. My husband went to see what could be done and we were told no one coule look at it until Monday. This was Saturday. We were told we would get 15% off our bill for the inconvenience, however at checkout, we were told since we booked through a 3rd party site, it would apply to our next stay. The internet went out Saturday night and we were again told that nothing could be done until Monday, which was when we checked out. At no time were we able to speak to a manager or even see one. The breakfast was mediocre. Eggs were good on Sunday, but for some reason they added hashbrowns to them on Monday. The sausage was dry and overdone all 3 days. We just purchased a home in Bay City so we will not be able to use the discount at that location unless family comes to visit and wants to stay at a hotel. Very disappointed with our stay overall.

No tissues in room. Door to room was nearly impossible to get in or out. Had to ask for nearly every thing at breakfast. Evening clerk, PJ, was wonderful and patient trying to fix broken tv.

There was no phones in the rooms which is a safty issue. The morning staff was very rude and even said " if u dont like the stay here, go and stay somewhere else next time" the sheets and towels were stained. And the hallways had trash and dust everywhere

Let me start by talking about your front desk person, Mary, there in Bay City Texas. I called the day before because I had a request that required me to be in the room prior to 3:00 check in time. It was my daughter's wedding at 4:00 and I knew that 1 hour would not suffice I called and asked if there was anything I could do to get in there at least an hour prior to three. Without hesitation not only does she help me out and was very professional and considerate and doing so, she called me that same day to advise me that she was able to have my room cleaned prior to 2:00 and I would be fine to go in at 1:00. I've stayed in Bay City many a times this was my first time in this La Quinta. I'm always looking for comfortability, safe place, and of course a great price. Not only did I find that at this La Quinta but it's a bonus I got an awesome employee really interested in what I was concerned about and helped me out. Great going La Quinta!!! I know where I'm coming from now on. Thank you Mary for taking good care of me. And thank you La Quinta for hiring people like Mary it shows that you're interested in what we as customers want and need and you're doing it!

the room airconditioner was too loud, the toilet is not shimmed and rocks when you sit down and an overhead light was out. too few towels. g the staff was EXCELENT. very helpful and friendly.

We chose La Quinta for it's location but that is the only thing it has going for it. The building looks ok from the street but as you approach you can see all the trash. The flower beds are full of weeds and trash no nice looking landscaping anywhere. The lobby was fine, seemed to be acceptably clean but plain and worn. The lobby bath room was dirty and out of supplies. The faucet didn't work and I had to shake the water off my hands as I walked back to the front desk. The second floor hallway was terrible, stains every where and it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in days. Turns out they only clean on Tuesdays and Thursdays, scary. At some point a lady got sick and vomited in her room out into the hallway and the cleanup of that was not good. The smell and stains on the floor and door remained until we left. Our room was not good! Stains on the carpet, bedspread and sheets. Bathroom had mildew stains and hardwater deposits everywhere. I was afraid to ask about the stains in the grout around the toilet. The AC worked but not well, loud and slow. The chair at the desk was broken, you could only lay down in it. The alarm clock had melted at some point and none of the charging ports or receptacles worked. We unplugged it so we wouldn't burn down the hotel. The sink was broken and wouldn't drain. We ran out of TP and they wouldn't bring it to our room. The mattresses were comfortable. The ladies at the front desk seemed like they wanted to help but they were overwhelmed.

He will swiftly rectify any issue without hesitation. He's knowledgeable of the city and will offer recommendations if needed. His professionalism is immeasurable. I highly recommend this location to anyone planning to visit.

We always stay here because it's right next to the Neon Moon. I do wish for a 4 cup coffee pod in the room to use with the 4 cup pot (instead of the single cup pod, which really doesn't work), and this time they were out of shampoo. They're obviously struggling but they do try hard. The breakfast buffet is pretty good and the Keurig in the lobby is delightful (the coffee on the buffet isn't very good) but I always wish half and half were offered and not that flavored creamer. Just little things like that. All in all it's a pretty good place to stay.

This hotel's location relative to the plants makes it convenient to me. The bed was clean and soft while the room's AC kept the room nice and cold. Despite the negative reviews about cleanliness, the room I stayed in seemed very clean. Turning on the tub's faucet produces hot water quickly, but the shower heads probably need decalcification because they dribble too much. I would definitely stay another night.
