Disturbtion, kids banging on room door at 10a, several occasions. Unable to contact front desk due phone lines down. Elevator out of service. Popcorn in kitchen chair. Had find housekeeper to replace iron!! Third time staying at hotel, worse visit ever! Hotel under construction, so far from front desk. Had to get front desk personnel to reactivate from keys, couldn’t access outside doors.

We enjoyed our room and the EV charging station on the property because there weren’t many locations in the city itself.

The pool is wonderful! Warm and clean. Whirlpool was nice. Front desk friendly and helpful.

Basketball court and firepit were awesome.

Great price for a great stay! Was under some renovations but hardly noticed. Room was very spacious having a fridge and almost full kitchen was very nice. Breakfast was great with a nice wide variety. Loves the outdoor fire pit and general outdoor vibe. Wish it was a little warmer and it would have been even better. By far the nicest place we’ve stayed at in the Decatur area!

Convenient location. The hotel clerk was very pleasant and ensured that our room was conveniently located by the working elevator. One elevator was out of service. The room was very nice. Clean. Spacious.

Breakfast was good and the pool was nice but the hot tub was not working again. It wasnt working the last time we was here either but other than that it was all good.. very friendly staff and checkin was suoer fast and easy. Will stay again but hope they get the hot tub fixed.

This is a beautiful modern hotel, suite rooms so accommodating and the beds was super comfy. Only downside was the pool being under renovation, everything else was great, having breakfast was a bonus too!!

It was more than $200 per night. Business center was closed. Pool was closed.Not all the exit doors was accessable. It was clean but older hotel.

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom suites. We travel and stay here at least once a year. We love the space. Sleeps 8 easily and even has a cook top and full size refrigerator. Super comfortable beds. Pool was great. Breakfast was delicious.

The staff was friendly until the evening shift when I discovered mold in my room I asked to be moved and never heard back. Cleanliness was not good, shower was dirty towels were dirty. Bed didn’t seem to have clean sheets Breakfast area looked like a disaster in the morning. I would make reservations elsewhere definitely not worth the money.

The property is showing signs of being well worn. They are in the process of remodeling. I hope that includes furnishings in the rooms. Our couch cushions had stains on one side and holes on the other, so we did not use it. The silverware & dishes were limited (missing items) but we didn’t really need them. Stains on the carpet. I would probably choose another hotel in the area next time.

We had an issue during check in. The system was down for quite a while, and they told us to come back later. I had reservations so I’m not sure why we couldn’t be placed in a room at 3:00 check in. Eventually it worked itself out, but we had to go find something to do for about 45 mins. Room security lock was not functional (room 319) our bathroom had hair on the wall from the last guest. The rooms could use some updating. Overall a good experience.

Clean room. Good breakfast choices.

Stayed at this location multiple times. The last visit was probably our last. Dirty towels and wash clothes upon arrival in unit, dishwasher full of dirty dishes, unit floors turned our white socks black, broken hot tub near pool.

Only knock is there was soap scum in the shower around the bottom of basin.

We’ve stayed at this property for many years. The owners need to do a deep thorough cleaning of the rooms. Ours was fine but not as clean as it should have been and not as clean as it was in years past.

Stains on chairs and walls

There are few options for suites in Decatur so this is our "go to". Great breakfast but scrambled eggs should be standard not in a rotation. Rooms are nice, beds are beyond needing to be replaced.

Very good location for what I came for, clean, quiet and comfortable

It was a decent room. Not bad but could use some updates. There were several large stains on the pull out mattress and the chair was very stained as well. I did not like that you had to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom or that the sink was in the bedroom area. Made it hard to get ready with someone sleepong.

A nice two-room suite with plenty of room and a small kitchenette. Very clean and much accommodations. It was great to be able to cook a simple meal and stay in for dinner.

Decatur doesn't offer a ton of quality hotels and this one is always the best option and consistent. The staff is always great, they offer a good breakfast and it is convenient. Had a couple of issues in my room and the staff were on it as soon as they knew. When you are looking for a hotel in Decatur this is the first one sold out.

Evening guy Eric was amazing. We had a problem with our room that Eric went over & above to fix. We heard him on the phone with another difficult situation with an irate call & he was kind, courteous & calm for the entire time. We had a problem with the handicap lift at the pool, & he helped with that, too. It is so rare today to encounter such superb customer service & professionalism.

We came to see my daughter's collegiate show, but unfortunately I ended up getting pretty sick. Homewood Suites allowed us to check in early, so I could go bed, and allowed us some latitude with checkout. All I saw all weekend was our room, but it was clean, comfortable and allowed me to rest. This meant a lot.

Staff never returned my message about changing the date for our stay there. Expedia tried reaching out several times as well, but they didn’t respond to them either. Very disappointing customer service.

Very clean and comfortable. Front desk staff were very very accommodating when we needed special concessions.

Excellent accomodations and check in was smooth

I have stayed at this location multiple times without incident. I check in and out without any issues. I always make sure the room is in good standings before I leave. This time upon arrival there were several issues with the room that included trash left in cans from previous guests, a broken air conditioner cover, an unclean shower, and a broken curtain rod placed on the windowsill. Because I was in town to attend a loved one’s funeral and had never experienced issues at this property before, I assumed this was a housekeeping oversight. I purchased trash bags and cleaning supplies myself and continued my stay without complaint. Before checkout a housekeeper mistakenly entered my room, appeared startled, and immediately apologized and exited the room. I checked out, received my deposit back, and left without any indication of a problem. At around 2:00 PM, I received an alert that a $200 charge attempt was made on my card. I promptly contacted the hotel to inquire why this charge was being attempted. The receptionist became immediately defensive and aggressive, stating that I had smoked in the room, which is completely false. I do not smoke and specifically booked a non-smoking room. When I denied this accusation, she changed her claim and stated that the room was left “filthy,” which is also untrue. When I informed her that I had time-stamped video evidence showing the condition of the room at checkout, she became silent, refused to acknowledge my statement, and hung up

We typically have a great time at our stays here. Everything was pretty good but just some small things I noticed. Breakfast on the weekend seems to have less effort put into than the weekdays. I don't know if it's a way to save money, but it's a small deviation. Also, the ceiling in our room's bathroom needs a bit of attention as there were small spots of mold growing. It may need hit with some bleach water or something. There were some small parts where routine maintenance would elevate it to excellent quality. The curtains in the living room needed fixed with a new rod. There were some cracks in areas. It just needed a little more attention. I DID appreciate how quiet it was. It's location to restaurants in the area was great. All the staff were courteous and friendly. The indoor pool was nice for small kids. I think what we received for the price was good.

Great service. We had a stopped up toilet, and the manager of the place fix! Loved the Wednesday night get together with free beer a wine and hors d’oeuvres. Great place to say highly recommended

Breakfast each morning was of a high quality and value. The property looked well maintained. It was generally very quiet. There is an outdoor space you can use for gatherings which is nice. The way the building is situated on the property there is limited parking in the front and the building is long. Getting from one end of the building to the the other can take a minute when your room is at the front and you parked in the rear. Not a criticism but an observation. Would definitely look to stay here again.

Fun happy hour

Pretty frustrated!! We have been staying at this property for several years. At first it was nice, but every visit it seems to get worse! The furniture is torn up and dirty! I always find hair in the room. Once we used their pool and we couldn’t see the floor! The kids were swimming and would find random toys and items on the ground. Now the pool is just not open. The paint is all pealing up!! This last visit the breakfast looked sketchy. I went to drink our of the milk carton and it was chunky!!! My daughter said her yogurt tasted funny! It was a week past expiration! We immediately left and went to get breakfast elsewhere!!! This place is really going down hill!!!

I booked this hotel due to having a hot buffet breakfast since I was going to be traveling with 3 young children solo. When we went down to breakfast at 7am they did not have any hot items available. They had posted “sorry for the inconvenience” signs. Unfortunately we were not made aware of this upon check in. Due to the inconvenience we then needed to stop and get breakfast on our way to the funeral we were in town for.
