Homewood Suites by Hilton Shreveport

The Shuttle Service was not being offered because the shuttle was in the shop. There were no accommodations or alternatives offered. One of the main reasons I chose this property was because of the Shuttle Service. On Day 2, they rented a vehicle to use for Shuttle Service. However, I was told that I was leaving too early for the shuttle to take me. I asked if there could be an accommodation made since the shuttle did not pick me up on the 1st day. I was told the manager said he does not have a driver that early. Again, no accommodation or consideration made for the fact that the shuttle was not available on the 1st day. I ended up paying $40 to commute from/to the airport. When I asked for towels to be sent to my room, I was told they would be sent to my room in a few minutes once done drying. About 2 hours later when I called to find out where the towels were, I was told some were now available, but I have to come down to get them. I put my trashcan outside of the door for the trash to be collected. The trash was taken, but there was no bag put in the trashcan. Again, I had to go down to get 1. Instead of it being offered, I had to ask for the complimentary water kept at the front desk. The shower had someone else’s hair in it. While the front desk Reps were nice, there was virtually no customer service or even striving to meet level of excellence that’s synonymous with the Hilton Brand. My worst stay at a Hilton property. I would never recommend this location

I liked that I had a very peaceful experience. There was no noise in the hallways or interruptions in my stay. The room was clean and the pool was pleasant. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was hot and delicious.

The place could use some maintenance, sticky doors, peeling wall paper, spray painted showers, was a bit cheap feeling for the rate. There was only a single luggage cart in the lobby, the staff said there were only 2 for the whole property, wow, I had to carry all of my travel items for the month from the car to the 3rd floor taking 5 trips since they only had one luggage cart.

parking was a bit of a challenge, not enough luggage carts, warm water not hot.

All 3 of treadmills were down and maintenance guy came in at 6 am told me all were down a month ago. Peloton bike was not operating. I had to wait whenever I went to front desk and I could see one to to guys waiting at the front desk waiting employee show up whenever I passed the lobby.

The power went out Saturday morning which caused the elevators not to operate. Not a bad situation, but had to use the stairs. When we entered the stairs, many of the emergency exit signs and lights were not working. My son had to use his light on the cell phone to help an expecting mother see where to walk because it was extremely dark. Just thought someone would be interested in this before the fire marshall would find this out. Also, why would a hotel like this not have a backup generator. Besides this, our stay was nice.

We were in our room for about 10 minutes when the power went out. Called the front desk and they said it would be back on in 10-15 minutes. But that was the last time they answered the phone, and 12 hours later there was still no power and no AC. Nobody at front desk.

Stayed one night, but was very pleased with my stay. Room was spacious, gym was well equipped, breakfast was fully loaded. Front desk great customer service.

Everything was good except the breakfast and the bbq area could have been bigger.

Nice property with easy access from freeways and access to the airport via hotel shuttle and some nice variations on standard hotel breakfast including fresh fruit and granola bars. That said, essentially no restaurants within walking or easy driving distance.

Room was clean and quiet. I had a room in the back which was perfect.

The room was just ok. The bedroom door drug the floor. There was a dirty bath towel hanging in the closet. The shampoo bottle was empty and the bottles for the shampoo, conditioner and body wash was at least 6 ft. in the air. (Not exaggerating)

Rooms were not thoroughly cleaned. Apparent that it was just surface cleaning between guests.

Clarence at the front desk was great. The staff I saw on the floor were very friendly. The room was still dirty when I got into it though. Stuff on the floor, drawers opened. Didn't feel clean. I actually left a night early

This is a very nice property although it looks a bit older. The rooms are excellent, the bathroom was clean and adequate and the grounds were very nice and well maintai ed.

Nasty rooms, kitchenette, and bathroom. Nasty plates were left in the dishwasher. We noticed a smell and that’s where it was coming from. The bedding was not clean and the bathrooms hadn’t been clean at all. The toilets had something crusty on the seat and the floor was nasty and you could tell had not been mopped.

While the room layout was fine, the bathroom needs updating. The caulking in the shower appeared moldy. Very spacious for a family of four. There were dirty dishes in the sink when we arrived. Otherwise, no complaints for the price paid.

My room and bathroom were very filthy. The ceiling fan and a/c vents were full of dust. There was mildew on the glass doors of the shower doors and the shower itself. Black hair in the shower and dirt on the tile trim behind the bathroom door. There was also hair on the top sheet which we took off the bed. A dresser drawer would also not remain shut. The shower floor also is extremely slick. I cannot understand how Expedia rated the property 8.8. I plan on contacting Hilton regarding this property. Everything in the facility is probably 25 years old and badly degraded.

The experience from check in to checkout was seamless! The grounds, hotel as a whole, & suite was clean and orderly. I will definitely book again in the near future.

I'm not staying at the hotel long but the people next door were so loud, they may as well have been in my room. Also the television in the room next to the bathroom doesn't work. We all tried it and couldn't get it to turn on. If I am paying this much for a hotel room for 1 night, everything should be working properly.

We booked this last minute for a quick overnight stop off while driving back to Dallas from New Orleans with our dog. It was safe, quiet, and very comfortable. It really is like a hybrid efficiency apartment with a full size fridge, tiny kitchenette, fold out sofa and living rool area, etc. The bed was comfortable, and though you could tell the room hadn't been recently redone, everything was in good condition. Good stay and we got a good night's rest on our way home.

Water pressure in the shower is horrible. Paint is peeling off of the shower floor. The room was clean. The king size bed is shorter than a usual king bed. I'm 5' 10" and my feet hung off the end. Not a bad spot in a pinch but not working the $160 a night that I paid.

This is a clean, well-maintained property. Check in went smoothly and we were able to park without problem, although the parking lot was full for the weekend. We received a text during dinner asking how our room was. I thought that was a nice touch. I texted back and asked for an additional pillow and towels. They were delivered not long after we returned from dinner. I do have one complaint from this stay. Our room was on the very front of the property, facing four interstate lanes. It was very loud during the entire night. I'm sure that rooms that are on the inside or opposite side of the property are not this bad. It really was unacceptable for us. I would consider staying here again, but would not accept a room on the side facing the interstates.

The front desk was amazingly kind and accommodating. Day 3 traveling cross country with an autistic child and a dog and we rolled in @11pm and he was so helpful and put us completely at ease.

When we arrived it wasn’t even the room I paid for. Paid for a 2 bedroom and was stuck in a one bedroom with 7 people! Room was dirty. Customer service was awful when I told them we were in the wrong room. Was told they were sold out!! Will never stay here again!!!

Driving with 2 cats, we planned our arrival time in accordance with posted check-in time. Unfortunately we had to wait, with the car running, for an hour until the room was available. I will say the front desk clerk was very apologetic and checked on the eoom himself to help check us in faster. Overall, our stay was pleasant.

Staff were all incredible

Check in was quick and very friendly. Check out was not a positive experience. I was trying to let the staff member know of some broken things in the room but she was too busy with her cell phone call. The ceiling fan was soo duty the dirt was collecting on the wall. I could only take a shower due to the faucet being broken. There was an excessive amount of hair in the tub. The bathrooms were not cleaned. We stay here every year and this will probably be our last.

Booked 2 rooms but only 1 room available with no other solutions offered. The desk clerk was very kind but didnt have any choice and neither did we, we made it work by piling into one room. Now I have to try abd recover my money from the cancelled room from Expedia.

Started off rocky with being given the wrong room and being sold out. Staff worked very hard to get it corrected and more than made up for the first nights error. Staff is fabulous and breakfast was great.

I have zero complaints about the staff. They were fantastic even allowed me to check in a little bit early. The room itself was clean. There were no foul smelling odors in any area of the hotel that I was in. The only thing that was a little off putting was the trash on the street outside of the hotel. There was some noise from the highway but that wasn’t to loud. If I had to stay in a hotel near the Shreveport regional airport, I would definitely stay here again. This is by far the best hotel that I have stayed at near that airport.

The hotel itself fine. Area around the hotel was very sketchy. There’s an abandoned, vandalized old Ramada Inn that needs to be torn down right next-door to the property.

No eating places within walking distance

Property is great.. surrounding area needs to be upgraded. Abandon buildings..closed facilities.

The hotel is reasonably safe but is down the street from some empty buildings that have been vandalized. That is a little unnerving but other than that it seemed safe.

Very nice property. Quiet area tucked away from traffic. Nice rooms and very friendly staff.

I rented two rooms, both were dirty, not clean. Pots were dirty, windows were dirty, rooms smelled . For breakfast, they didn’t have any coffee cups, later a lady came and brought out real mugs. Most of these locations have flavored coffee creamer, this place did not. This place did not have any breakfast pastries either like most other homewood Suites.

The room was exceptionally clean, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious! We will use this hotel every time we return to Shreveport.

The staff members smiled all the times as they enjoyed serving customers Food options in the morning were great! The social hour at 1700hrs came with tasty chouces of finger food and soup. Just loved all they had to offer.

Wonderful front desk staff. Bfast was delicious and well stocked.
