Hyatt Place Fort Myers Estero - Newly Renovated

This Hyatt is located in a huge shopping plaza . With a few fast food options and many restaurants. The staff are very accommodating, kind and go above and beyond for their guests . The hotel is beautiful and meticulously kept clean. The outdoor pool and hot tub are very nice. Our room was huge , with granite countertops, sectional sofa ( that pulls out into a bed ) and 2 queens beds that were very comfortable. The Continental breakfast every morning was delicious. Fresh fruit , yogurt, bacon and eggs. The coffee was amazing. We will be back .

We had stayed at this hotel on 4 previous occasions & always found it to be clean, comfortable & convenient. This last visit, however, was disappointing, to say the least. To start, we were unaware when we booked, that the hotel was in the midst of renovation. When we arrived the lobby was blocked off & we followed the signs to a tiny room for check-in. The next morning,(Saturday), we went down to breakfast which was laid out in a small meeting room opposite the ‘check in’ room. Obviously, little forethought was given to the guests in this scenario as there was only seating for 12 people. We attempted to sit out by the pool, but there were only 4 chairs which were occupied. As we walked around w/plates in hand, an employee waved us into an adjoining conference room with long tables & stacks of chairs which we retrieved ourselves. We then ate our now cold breakfast. Over the rest of our 5 day stay, the housekeeping only tended to our room twice. The WiFi was intermittent making it difficult for my husband to communicate & conduct business. One day, water had to be shut off for several hours. Another day, we lost power, preventing us from sending time sensitive documents related to a real estate transaction. We had to leave the hotel to take care of that business elsewhere. As we left, we had to walk down 3 flights, only to find ourselves out back amid construction items and dumpsters. There was never an apology by management nor an attempt to offer any compensation.

Stayed for 4 nights with my four children. Check in was easy; front desk staff was nice and pleasant. The room was clean and smelled good; a few noticeable stains and the cushion on one of the couches was ripping, but nothing to be too concerned about. Bedding and towels were clean. The drain in the tub hardly worked. It would take a few minutes after turning the water off to see it draining. The breakfast buffet was okay. The food was warm, the fruit was fresh for the most part. The oatmeal looked like one big pot was made and was reused day after day. It went from being watery the first morning to almost rock hard by the fourth morning. The area was clean, staff was very pleasant.The pool was nice, not too cold. Towels are available at the pool. One of the biggest issues I had which I was kind of shocked about was that there is no guest laundry facility. After a few days there, I was hoping to wash our swim suits and beach towels to use them again and was very disappointed when I went to try to do laundry at 7pm to be told they don't have a washer and dryer for guests. So if you are planning on staying for an extended period of time, pack enough clothes for your stay or find somewhere close to do laundry.No ice machine on the first floor; second floor for the closest one. No convenience items such as snacks, toiletries, or single pack medicines that most hotels have.I would stay here again. It is in a quiet location, very close to many restaurants and businesses.

The hotel was under remodel construction! 3 items in continental bfast. No bar.

The pool might have been in good shape before Hurrican Andrew in 1992. Two long chairs for the pool. The only good things about the breakfast was that it was free.

This hotel was in a great location with plenty of walkable restaurants and shopping. The staff was friendly and breakfast quality was above average for a complimentary buffet. My only issue is that the pool closed very early (the beginning of sunset) everyday.

Beds were very comfortable. Room was clean. Staff very friendly. Nice they had a small bar on-site. Breakfast was very good. Cons.. there was a smell emitting in the hallway from the bathrooms. Our shower was terrible. It had a half a glass wall and some small swinging piece. Water would get all over the floor. Not sure if this was for handicap accessibility but did not work well.

I found this property when I made a last minute change for my trip from STL to Florida. Even with the renovations they were working on, I loved this location. It’s in a nice area with tons of food and shops to choose from. It’s within a quick 15-20 minute drive to the beach so it’s easy to avoid some of the chaos that can come from that. The staff was amazing, everyone was so nice and welcoming from the moment I arrived. One person in particular, Chelsea was phenomenal and went above and beyond her duties. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave us some amazing pointers. She really helped make the trip as fun as it could be. It was also pretty awesome having coffee and breakfast ready each day. The only requests/suggestions would be to install a few umbrellas or something for a bit of shade by the pool as it’s really hot out there most of the day. Solid price, even better location, I am planning on coming back one day.

The staff at this hotel were OUTSTANDING! So friendly & welcoming--everyone from main desk to maintenance staff treated you and greeted you like family. Nice breakfast each day and even had a cocktail downstairs in the evening. Pool was beautiful. All walking distance to amazing shopping & restaurants. Only one suggestion- upgrade your coffee quality. We'll be back!

Great place, comfortable, rooms were very good size, staff super friendly, hotel spotless, free breakfast was a plus, would definitely stay there again!

Exceptionally clean

Staff was very friendly. Carpeting in the room had blood stains, and hallway carpet had bleach stains etc. Carpeting definitely needs to be replaced throughout the rooms and hallways. Complimentary parking and breakfast was nice. Walkable to mall, shops, and dining.

This is such a run down property. The carpet had so many stains, it was buckling up, and you can tell it has not been cleaned in forever. If you have allergies stay away from this place. The rooms had that carpets in it too. The block pillows were so uncomfortable. Will not stay here again.

The hotel is a straight construction site. The front desk is a small utility closet where the employees sit in street clothes. Feels pretty dirty in general with dust tracked all over the carpets. It would have been nice to know

The hotel is in a nice area. However, the room was not very clean. Stains in the carpet, damage to the walls where it looks like somebody wrote stuff on. Definitely not worth the price.

The hotel is located close to Ft. Myers and not too far from Naples which is an advantage. The hotel is clean, beds are comfortable and breakfast includes many options. The A/C in the room we stayed in was very noisy and should be adjusted. Overall, a good hotel

Property was located in a great area. Close to our friends, shopping and restaurants. The bathroom is poorly designed. The bathroom consisted of the toilet and shower only. The door to the bathroom was so large that you could barely open it while Standing in the bathroom. Likewise, it was difficult to enter the bathroom and close the door. The shower was only partially covered by glass and if you didn’t position the glass partition correctly, there would be a ton of water on the bathroom floor. The sink and vanity was located practically in the bedroom. The bed pillows were 4 small squares. The tv was a nice size and swiveled so you could watch it from the bed or sofa.

Great location and nice sized rooms. Rooms are worn and have no safe in the room. At that time good value for the money.

Needs an up date. Dark and dingy. No microwave in room. Shower hot water was cool to luke warm

Everthing was amazing - they just need new pillows (or bring your own). I tried 3 different pillows but they were all hard and lumpy. Other than that this place was wonderful.

I liked the staff. They had a very nice breakfast. The price was reasonable. However, the bathroom was very cramped and there were no handles at all in the glass shower.

Room was very comfortable esp with couch. Only problem our room couldnt pick up hotel free wifi and we needed it. No one could fix that issue.

All was good except the pillows on the bed. Way too small. What happened to using king size pillows on king size beds????

Have stayed several times with an excellent experience. This time, our first room had a leak, and the second room had inconsistent water pressure and temperature. I assume this a unique was due to onsite construction and I would definitely go back.

Hotel is ok lots of construction and very old hotel. The customer service is not very good staff are always browsing the phones no eye contact. Next time getting hotel near Naples area.

The place was nice. The bathroom door and access made no sense. In addition. Both mornings I was woken up at 8am by a knock and no wait for me to respond before a staff member came in. Both time my service dog got out of the room. Rm 317 was immediately across from the staff office and not only did they talk nonstop, they left their carts blocking our door. The front desk staff was very nice with the exception of one woman who was a bit rude when I was trying to buy some drinks.

Besides the noise and construction going on, I had a great stay. The manager Chelsie was very nice and apologized for inconvenience.

Manager was extremely helpful in assisting with carrying bags to car when a cart was not available. Other team members were helpful as well.

So close to everything you need!!!!

We came for a campus tour of FGCU and this was one of the most reasonably priced hotels around! We were pleasantly surprised with everything that it had to offer. It was located within walking distance of an amazing shopping plaza, offering unique boutiques, some high end shopping and then the typical Target etc! We loved it all! The room was very spacious, with a sitting area separated from the bedroom, and a rotating TV so you could watch in the sitting area or in bed. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.

Great location, inside Coconut Point mall so you have lots of shops and restaurants around you. Room was big and comfortable. It has an ample “living room” with a L shape sofa, small refrigerator, coffee maker and a desk. We were staying at the property because we lost power after hurricane Milton and the property lost power, too. So I can’t comment on the property amenities or breakfast. The reason why I gave 3 starts on “service” is because we called the property multiple times to ask if they had power and to see if we could get an early check in, and nobody ever answered the phone.

Great stay , awesome room. The bathroom is nice, the couch is comfortable. The bar is not a real bar, limited selection. The breakfast is great. I would stay here again for $100.

The breakfast was different each day with the usual choices, fruit, yoghurt, oatmeal, breads, sausage, eggs,etc. The property and location was ideal! The staff was friendly and helpful!

We’ve been trying to see if we prefer Hyatt to Marriott or Hilton. It may be a small item, but I just like having coffee available all day and yet it is always cold (seven day stay). Better to remove it then to leave cold coffee there all day. It is only hot during the morning breakfast hours. It appears there is no one there responsible for keeping it fresh all day. There is a microwave, but heated up cold coffee is not the answer . Additionally, the breakfast was substandard, powdered eggs,greasy bacon. The fresh fruit is a positive, but no pastries or anything interesting on the buffet.

The website advertises all-day small bites and bar service, but when we inquired about getting some food, the person at the desk said they were short-handed and the kitchen was closed. Pool area looked nice. Free breakfast was as expected but featured NO eggs. Too expensive?
