Microtel Inn and Suites Elkhart

Very disappointed in this Microtel. Stayed at other Microtels before with no issues. The room was dirty and dated. The elevator was broken. The staircases leading to the different floors were dirty also. Breakfast options were very limited. The entire experience just wasn’t good.

Breakfast was good and parking felt safe. Close to other food options as well

My room cleanliness was excellent but the stairs and common areas were only okay. Elevator was out of order..😔

I was very disappointed! We booked 2 rooms for Sat the 19th. Check in was 3pm. We went at 4:00 to check in. We didn’t get our room until after 5. The other room was ready. The ice machines were not working. The pop machine was out of order. The candy/cracker machine was almost empty. It took all night, and a borrowed fan, to get cool in our handicap room. There are many other hotels all together. I will not stay here again!!

The experience was satisfactory, albeit with several inconveniences. Notably, the elevator malfunctioned, trapping an individual inside. Additionally, our key card failed to function. Furthermore, when I sought assistance, the manager expressed annoyance at having to ascend the stairs to open the door for us.

Ice machines were broken and the lobby bathroom was out of order. Breakfast was nice and the room was clean.

Easy access, comfortable rooms, breakfast was sufficient. Parking - didn't have to walk far. Pleasant staff.

When we arrived a little after 9p after almost 10 hrs of travel to get there no one was there to check us in for quite awhile. I didnt time it but it was over 10 mins. Neither ice machine had ice. I let the front desk know. Checked for ice in the a.m and still no ice. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. No salt for the dried out hashbrowns. No butter for the waffles. Some smart balance garbage "butter." The water pressure in the shower was great. The room was clean. My towel had a weird smell to it almost like vomit smelling. Maybe it was left in the washer too long. Definitely not the best hotel I've stayed in.

Parking lot was rough but rest of experience was good

The term you get what you pay for comes to mind in regard's to my stay. Very outdated! Pot holes and trash in the parking lot. Hallways need vacuuming, shower ledge, shower exhaust fan dirty, Beds were comfortable, however the pillows under the cases were very heavily dirty with head sweat yellow stains. Definitely will not be staying at this location again.

The rooms were nasty. The blankets, sheets and towels were all stained. They had a yellow stained tint to them all. Furniture was broke and big chunks missing out of the wood.

This hotel was not very well cleaned. The rooms look outdated. There were dead bugs along the edges of the walls. Did not give off a clean, refreshing vibe.

The carpet had not been vacuumed as there was food crumbs, a coffee stir and a dime on floor. A dirty towel was left behind the bathroom door. Only one hanger in closet

There was a long black hair in the bathtub and a bug had been smashed above the bed with a big spot of bug guys on the ceiling. The room cost more than doubled from a Thursday Night to the Friday Night. I ended up just leaving at like 1AM on Saturday Morning and paid over $130 for a dirty standard room. The staff were friendly. The breakfast is horrible not even any hot eggs just potatoes if you’re lucky.

Room was not clean. Floor looked like our been cleaned in years. Bathroom was dirty. There was hair in the sink, tub had stuff in it that we had to rinse away before getting in. As soon as we walked in it had a terrible smell. Will not stay here again.

Only reason for poor rating was the bed frame kept popping and making noise all night long when you moved on the bed. The mattress was very comfortable.

The room was clean, bed was firm and comfortable, but shower pressure weak.

Check-in was smooth. Room was okay, but the wifi did not work. There appeared to be older technology in the room which was not functional. Left before the breakfast was open, so I cannot comment on it.

Of course, a Microtel room is smaller, but we had everything we needed.

The pictures on the listing looked different than the actual room. The bed in our room had a bent slat in the frame so every time we moved in the bed there was a loud banging sound. The staff was friendly.

The room was very small with the one queen bed. Could not locate an otlet near the bed to plug in my heating pad. Not enough room to even lay on floor to do some stretching exercises. Brea

Very dated. Fridge & AC were so loud it was difficult to sleep. The staff did offer us a different room but same issue. It was no quieter than our room 310.

Needs updating, no electrical outlets for necessary items, phones, breathing machines! Phone in room not connected to anything

The room was very clean, comfortable bed, but very weak shower water pressure.

Robert at check-in was friendly and helpful. We’ve stayed at this Microtel before, so I guess you could say we’re “regulars.” We are a “no frills” couple, so this fits the bill. Robert solved 2 problems for us. The bathroom light was very dim, so he switched out our room. It was an upgrade. Very nice. Except the TV didn’t work. He literally came to the room and worked on it himself! We appreciated his help and friendly demeanor. It ended up to be a nice stay. Thank you, Robert! You made our stay GREAT!!

Not great showing up at midnight and host was nowhere to be found called 1800 number to get help, finally host showed up after 15 minutes, myself and another guest were both waiting to check in. I’m guessing we woke him up from his nap.

We could not find anyone to check us in for quite awhile. We looked in the office, out back where some folks smoke, in the laundry, up and down halls.

I would never recommend this place!! We rented a room stayed in it for a couple hours and then went out to dinner and came back to find someone else in our room the hotel staff rented out the room we were in by mistake.. too top it off with had to change hotels because our room they gave away was there last.. do not stay there

The young lady who checked us in was friendly and able to cover everything. We had no questions. She was Awesome!! This is our fourth or fifth time staying there and our first time with her. I hope we see her every time we stay.

The phone slightly came off the line old lady called my cell phone saying the cops where gonna get called cause the phone wasn’t fully on the line apparently which was wild. There wasn’t hot breakfast like they advertised and the old lady at the front desk was saying she had to call someone cause she didn’t want to hear peoples mouths and the card to buy the groceries had no money on it. The bathroom tub when we went to use it had someone’s pubic hair in it black mold all around the window seal. House keeping skipped us couldn’t get them to give us new bags or new towels and had to go around to find someone who couldn’t understand what we were asking. When we complained to Expedia about the service and cleanliness and no breakfast the room line starts going off ridiculously the old lady is yelling and cussing us out acting completely irate. Later that night a “man” is working who starts yelling and cussing my husband out flipping him off when he tried talking about what happened with the older lady acting like a full grown 40 year old toddler who said there no cameras outside etc etc. then in the morning the old lady kept calling and hanging up the phone waking my kids up like a freaking child absolutely terrible hotel

No room service at all…room was a little dusty in corner, behind bathroom door. Breakfast was good, area was clean. A/C squeaky, when I asked the manager after two nights he barely lifted his head from his iPhone, said he would check it that day, never heard from him. Listened to it next two nights. Elderly lady there at night was very unhappy, not very customer friendly. Outside concrete busted up, columns base broken flower beds unkept, weedy. Considering there are so many hotels in the area, I would not recommend or stay there again!

The hotel is clean and the bed was comfortable. Very convenient to Interstate.

Close to highway for easy on/off access. Restaurants nearby within walking distance

It’s was a comfortable stay for 1 day. Very close to the venue where I was going to for an event!

Close to a lot of stores

We stayed six nights while visiting friends and family in the area. The staff were friendly and room we had was quiet. The beds were firm which took a night or two to get used to as used to memory foam and softer mattress. Overall suited our needs perfectly at a great price. Easy to get to many shops, restaurants and freeway.

Nice room, great AC, close to everything.

Several people in the parking lots were smoking marijuana, which made us a bit uncomfortable. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and professional, but there was a woman sitting on the couch who seemed to either work there or know the man working. She was strange and unfriendly. The room was very clean and comfortable, the price was great, and it was convenient to the interstate.

Very nice and conveniently located from the I-80 toll road. Just a one night stay.

there's a bunch of hotels in a cluster around here but I'm glad I chose the Microtel, and there are a bunch of food options nearby as well

This is an excellent property in great condition in a safe, convenient area that is close to the interstate and an easy drive into downtown Elkhart.

Affordable. Great location. Quick check in, but outdated process. Make photo copy of ID and it isnt shredded, its boxed to be shredded. Comfortable suite with beautiful decor. Spacious room. Clean appliances. Breakfast was terrible. Free parking.

One night stay. Breakfast was from 7:00-10:00. Headed to breakfast around 9:00 and found that many items were out (pancake batter, potatoes, milk, and coffee) and no one around the whole time while at breakfast to check on the area.

I am sorry to say that I can not recommend this hotel. Desk Clerk that was there Sat evening 8/23 (did not get his name..bald chubby gentleman with an attitude) was rude with regard to a request. Also the room microwave did not work unless you slammed the door. Breakfast provided was poor. Had to get the bowls out myself from storage for cereal..no one there to help..COFFEE was WATERED DOWN...sad..only saving grace was the room was clean.

The room was great value for the price. It was roomy and the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was basic, but OK. Stay away from the OJ machine - the juice was totally watered down. The ice machine on the third floor was filthy - it had some black bits of mold on ice cubes.

Not a bad place. Carpets need to be cleaned. And more breakfast options
