Lift didn't work so had to carry heavy bags up two flights of stairs, no parking available spent over half an hour to find a park on the street. Air conditioning didn't work in bedroom and the window couldn't be opened.

Great central location, close to the mall, SkyCity Casino, restaurants, and bars. Our stay was nice, though some nights there were loud noises from homeless people outside. They kept to themselves and didn’t bother us. Parking was a challenge – Ramada’s parking was full, and the free lot was cramped. We opted for SkyCity’s secure underground parking for $28 per day. Room had a slight damp smell but was otherwise fine.

Room was quite small and the lay out was a little odd with the room door opening right to the bed side. An older building. Gym was ok but a few things broken and was weirdly also a storage room. Stairwell to the gym was dirty and uninviting.

Nothing unique or could be cleanliness in rooms (dirty oil dripping from the door), corridors are just scary, old, numbering of rooms is hectic, rooms in front of business trainings toilets should NOT be for rent… one lamp on (one of the 2) table (s) next to beds. NO USB plugs. Do they really think they can call the bathroom a decent bathroom for the years 2020’s ? Personnel trying to help but contradictory answers as about where to find the parking. The way to parking is the worst l have EVER seen in my my all life of a hotel. Too much money for what it is. Poor area (Junkies/ drunks) and noisy in rooms facing the street. A bad experience

The public elevator doors walls and floor need a much need clean cleaning. The windows in our suit room (bedroom and bathroom) had lots of spider webs that had been old enough to collect dust around the frames. The door hardware at the door frame location was not installed so the door move quite a bit even when locked. This needs to be fixed for safety and security reasons. Except for the above room was clean and location good.

Overall…served purpose for business traveller. Staff were friendly and helpful. However cleanliness was not up to scratch. Opened milk carton from previous guests still in fridge, blinds covered in dust, and huge amount of condensation on windows. Noise from street outside was very loud throughout the night.

My room smelt very musty and had mouldy curtains,thankfull to reception who kindly moved me to a nice clean room...aircon can only do so much ,i would suggest better extractor fans in the bathrooms which i have noticed some of the bathrrooms have no fan or window.

Room was small, but the bathroom was tiny with a big step to get into and out shower. The room was not very clean and the paint work and cupboards were shabby. No view, just flat roof and brick wall. Luckily only stayed one night. Trouble with key card on arrival, had to go down to reception 4 times before being given a different room, which still had key card issues. Someone came and changed batteries in door lock. Did I mention the tiny tiny bathroom, it was so tight. Bed comfy and sheets crisp and clean.

Bed was comfy but unfortunately didn’t get any sleep. The window is paper thin and you can hear everything on the street below. On this evening, some people were fighting, breaking bottles, loud cars going up and down the street, a very vocal lady screaming at everyone every 30 minutes. Not ideal if you want somewhere peaceful.

I think I had the last room available in the hotel, and the room was fine, but it did look out to a wall and a few windows and if I had been a slightly bigger person I would have really struggled to sit on the toilet. Unfortunately, having the window open just allowed the smell of the restaurants around in. That said, it was a cheap, last minute booking and was fine for my very short-term needs.

Quite possibly the noisiest night we've ever experienced in a hotel. Every drunken muppet in hamilton seemed to be partying in the street outside the hotel. Old school, single glazed windows do not help so either take ear plugs or dont stay there on a Saturday night.

Was good and clean. Room very good with two double beds, shower, kettle and fridge. Tv in room and Aircon. However we were right next to the car park entrance that was very noisy at points in the night. Also the bed could have been with updating as felt fairly old.

Perfectly adequate for a couple of nights. Room was clean and tidy. Very compact, especially the bathroom. No power points by the beds which isn't very convenient for phone charging overnight. Fridge is in the bottom of the wardrobe so can't hang up dresses etc. Person on reception when I arrived wasn't particularly welcoming. She did come up to the room later when I was having issues with the access card but actually could have told me the eccentricities of the handles when I first checked in and saved us both some time. Cleaning staff were friendlier than any of the reception staff. Location is great - very central with lots of restaurants etc handy.

No house keeping on 2nd Jan: room requires refurbishing out of t/paper &liquid soap, main door would not lock.Shame this Hotel lacked the service.For a Remarda Hotel this is not 4Star! The nice part was a large room & reasonably quiet. NZ is a Tourist country so Remarda live up to your standard that we expect!

Terrible customer service. No-one at desk when we went to check in, rang bell, waited over 15 mins had to go to the bar area to get them to find someone to check us in. No apology offered just rude service once he finally arrived. Car park tight and hallway to room is like a rabbit warren. Funny smell through out. Rooms are very small. One step through the door and you hit the bed. I would not recommend.

Staff were not welcoming, and on check out the man had a running nose and wiped it on his sleeve. Room was small, door hit the bedside table when open. My room towel rack fell off, the furniture was well stained and marked and the aircon had the vent held open with tape. The door did not open on first or second or even third attempt, toilet button was broken, door architrave needs attention and the list goes on.

The windows are still old style wood framing, so the noise on the street could easily get through to the room, especially in late night. Ask for a room not facing streets if you want to have a good sleep.

Stayed here in Jan 2025 as needed central location to visit the glow worm caves and Hobbiton. The hotel is very tired looking and hence the mid score. The breakfast was ok, good choice but not great quality buffet style.

Avoid this place at all costs. I wish I had booked the Novotel instead. I feel like this place is run by someone who has never actually been to a hotel and only had it described to them. The place is very run down, they only gave us one card at check in. The door lock sticks and it seems to be well known as the staff said to just jiggle it until it works. Missing a hand towel hanger. Cramped room and very cramped bathroom. The bed was not comfortable. You are right on the Main Street and can hear people revving their engines at night showing off their cars even on a Thursday apparently. I got a terrible sleep. I made the mistake of getting the breakfast in the morning. They make you pay up front and probably for good reason, as it’s the worst breakfast buffet I’ve had at a hotel in New Zealand. The has browns were soggy, I had to ask for ketchup, and the pineapple juice was so watered down with apple juice there wasn’t even a whisper of pineapple left. All in all, avoid this place. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Oh and don’t even bother with trying to park here. There’s a parkade a block or two away that’s better luck.
