Do not have elevator you need to climb a lot of stairs to get to your room, they are undercontuction very noisy, the beach towels are in bad conditions, the internet connection is always lost, in the night no cold water in the shower, no telephone and clock in the room.

Beautiful area, perfect location on a quiet beach, very relaxing, but close to the best beach, shops and restaurants. The hotel could be so much better, there is no effort to decorate The rooms need to be renovated and linnen and towels upgraded. I can’t believe all the positive reviews, especially since it is listed as a 4 star hotel on many sites. This was a ghost town of a hotel, perhaps running a skeleton crew during the low-season?? Staff were invisible and had to be sought out for basic questions, which seemed to be a major inconvenience to them. Check-in was a joke, they swore they didn’t have my reservation then made me look through a stack of papers until I found it myself. The location is great and the pool has potential, but it was so poorly attended that by noon it was FULL of bugs to the point that I didn’t want to go in. There is a pool bar that wasn’t open once in the 4 days we were there. Absolutely no food or drinks available for purchase on site. Other guests on site spent all day every day playing music from their personal speakers and drinking at the pool, so not super peaceful. The room itself was sparse and the bathroom permanently stunk like sewage. Honestly reminded me of a US chain motel. Two plastic lawn chairs on the balcony. Roku TV available but no services or channels provided, so more like an Airbnb than a hotel, and inconvenient considering services like Netflix recognize you’re not “home”. The location is really all this place has going for it. There are no real amenities to speak of to justify the price or stars. Highly recommend the hotel next door, which has a lovely rooftop bar and fantastic service even for non-guests. Wish we had booked there.

Excellent location. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and the beach. The hotel is tucked away from the street and is so quiet that you can hear the waves. The pool is nice and has a beautiful view but despite 2 pools pictured by the beach, there is only 1. They have another small pool around the corner. Staff was friendly and the room was basic but clean. There are no elevators so be prepared to climb stairs. Some of the websites mentioned free breakfast (which is not true) but they did have free coffee and plenty of drinking water. No microwave in the room but there is one next to the lobby.

Hotel was great! Room was always clean and comfortable. It is in a great location, near playa Norte and other close-by beaches. Also within walking distance to playa centro and Hidalgo st which has many restaurants and shopping. Only issue we had was the pools were not kept clean.

The location is great! Quiet secluded area and just a short 2 minute walk from the bustling downtown and Hidalgo Street and the hopping Playa Norte. My room was extremely clean daily and smelled of bleach after it was serviced, which I appreciated tremendously. The main pool is nice, but it could’ve used a daily cleaning. One day the water even turned green-ish before they finally decided to treat it. And one last thing that would’ve been nice would have been if they still offered the continental type of breakfast. You can find good breakfast nearby, but some mornings we wanted to just chill and relax. One last quirk is the way they run their pool/beach towels. They offer them only until noon and want them all returned by 8pm. We prefer to exchange beach towels throughout the day maybe a couple of times a day when on a trip like this, so the limited hours of availability was disappointing.

Property is nice enough, nice view, few ques were answered ok. But staff not always easily found either. They decided to upgrade the small pool bar - closing it entirely at least two days. Complete nonsense while guests are looking for a drink. Lots of narrow stairs, might be concerning for some.

We love staying here! Always our first choice! location is perfect. Short walk to Playa Norte. And the view is unforgettable! The rooms are always very clean and a/c is very cold! Beds are very comfortable. Pools are clean. Wizer is amazing and takes great care of us always! We will 100% be back next year for our 3rd year in a row!

I really like the location of this property. You have the ocean views without the theatre seating in front of the ocean. North Beach, dining and shopping are within walking distance. The Hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We experienced several cleanliness issues during our stay, including ants in our room, near the coffee area, and in the seating area as well. Upon arrival, we also noticed a roach at the doorway. When we reported these concerns, the younger front desk staff member with glasses did not display any urgency or willingness to assist with any of our questions and needs which was disappointing. However, we appreciated the helpful attitude of the older woman and older man at the front desk, who were both courteous, helpful, and willing to go out their way for what we needed.

Loved Franco the bartender. Floors in room were really dirty, had to wear sandals in room at all times. Toilets flushed half the time. Nice location close to the north beach. Overall would book again but there are. very amenities here.

One of the best spots on the island! The hotel is a bit long in the tooth, for example some of our glass structures were broken and has caution tape about the deck of our King Hot tub suite. The handle fell off the sink, bed was a bit too broken in. BUT! If a few minor issues don't bother you then look no further. PS. You cannot swim in the ocean in the front of the hotel. There are signs posted about riptides and they a ferocious. Still, a fantastic place to catch sun, gather shells, and dip your toes.

loved our stay at Playa la Media Luna. the hotel was lovely stayed in the Palm section king bed partial view my compadres stayed in the palm garden rooms basically the same rooms but the palm rooms have two full/queen sized beds the views of the ocean are about the same a shout out to the staff at Media Luna especially Wizzer,Franco, and Jeni any issues we had were resolved prontito. thanks so much for making our stay so enjoyable and special. The hotel is quaint and could be a great hotel but the staff were terrible. The location is walking distance to Centro and Play Norte. It was clean and the view from our room was fantastic. The amenities were lacking. Very small bar, that did not have tonic and was out of wine. You cannot swim in the ocean off this beach. The reason I would not go back is the attitude of the staff. I felt we were bothering them for anything I asked for. From checking in to checking out, it just felt like they did not want us there. I needed help accessing the internet and the front desk just gave me a blank stare, like figure it our yourself. Thankfully I guest helped me. It is a shame because I believe this could be a perfect little spot if the staff were nicer.

Beliggenheden er det bedste ved La Media Luna. Selve hotellet savner kærlighed. Det er slidt i kanterne og det er synd, for det er virkelig ikke meget der skal til, for at gøre stedet hyggeligt og mere indtagende. Hotellet har en “pool bar”. Men den er sjældent betjent og ikke særlig indbydende. Polområdet har virkelig flot udsigt til det brusende hav. Men her bliver ikke nusset og ordnet omkring poolsenge, planter og gangstier. Turen til værelserne går af labyrint agtige gange hvor bygge materiale og efterladte kasser og rod står overalt. Personalet var venlige - men så godt som usynlige. Her er ikke en følelse af at være “påskønnet”. Reparation af defekt toilet skete hurtigt, og her er bestemt velvilje. Men stedet virker forsømt. Nedfaldne kokosnødder fra palmerne lå i bunker og blev aldrig fjernet. Lidt stille musik ved poolen og nogle enkle krukker med planter og hyggelige lamper ville pynte. Kaffe området lignede mere opbevaring end et sted der indbød til samvær. Synd at dette sted må så stort potentiale ikke bliver passet bedre på. Værelset var fint, rummeligt og rent. Balkonen stor og pæn. Vi havde gode dage. Og er primært tilfredse.

The hotel location is great, the rooms are spacious and clean. The general state of the hotel is ok, common areas need maintenance. The attention from the staff is ok, most of the times there is no one at the front desk, so of you need help you have to wait for someone to show up. Me and my husband had to do an early check out because of huracan Beryl, and we were surprised no one at the hotel told us anything about what security measures they were taking, I spoke to the manager and she said I could ask for a refund with Expedia, they will contact her and she will approve it but after multiple attempts from Expedia I was informed they weren't able to contact anyone, I tried to contact the hotel by email and phone but I never did. I know this was an exception circumstance but I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of client support.

We LOVED our stay here. The pool is absolutely wonderful and my husband has to MAKE me get out when we had events to attend. There is a bar and bartender that made tasty drinks and cold beer. The turtles showed up in July to lay their eggs and we spent every evening watching the turtle patrol help the ladies lay their eggs and taking them to the hatchery to safely emerge later. The staff was great and helpful. We had a golf cart and enjoyed driving around but there are bars and restaurants closeby to walk to. We loved that this little secret hideaway is quiet compared to all the other hotels our friends were staying. Coming back to the hotel every night was like coming home. I recommend this hotel to truly be able to enjoy Isla Mujeres!

El hotel es bonito, esta muy bien ubicado, a unas calles caminando esta playa norte y la zona de restaurantes, muy seguro caminar en los alrededores, tiene acceso casi privado a playa media Luna que es muy bonita (no se puede nadar), es un hotel muy tranquilo como para descansar, 2 albercas con vista espectacular a la playa, yo me quede en cuarto sin vista al mar, son comodos y tienen lo basico como tv con cable, aire acondicionado, mini bar, baño con regadera, ventilador de techo y balcon con amaca, camas comodas, caja fuerte, wifi, garrafones de agua en pasillos, algunos detalles que requieren mantenimiento como regaderas, espejos y vidrios dañados y sucios, y ruidos fuertes que hacen los aparatos electrónicos minibar y A/A), no tienen restaurante pero tienen un pequeño bar a un lado de la alberca, no tiene elevador, servicio de aseo al cuarto excelente, el check in fue a tiempo aunque puede mejorar la atención en recepción. El hotel no es barato ni lujoso pero lo vale por la ubicación.

The location of this property is perfect. Close to North Beach, shopping and restaurants. On the quiet side, perfect for relaxing and beautiful views of the ocean and small bay away from the crowds. My room was clean, spacious and comfortable (great pillows too). There’s no restaurant on site, but it’s close enough to food stalls and restaurants that it didn’t matter.

Overall good area and service for the price. Bar hours are limited. Pool towels are limited, so recommend to bring your own if staying multiple days.
