everything's always great at this hotel The Pool maintenance was not acceptable this round it was very murky

We had requested a specific room and were given that room. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Room is clean and spacious for 2 people. Pool is relaxing and comfortable seating area. This is our 5 th time staying here....we won't go any place else. Thanks for the amazing stay. See you next year

The Rocomar Hotel is in a great location from the ferry from Cancun. It's a short walk up a hill. Pool overlooks the sea. We had a balcony outside of our room. Very friendly atmosphere and our group of friends thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

It’s located right on the ocean the balcony View is beautiful. The property itself is a little tired but clean and the staff was friendly. Being on the island, there was some power outages it’s one of the few hotels that has a generator made for a much more comfortable stay.

The view off of the balcony was positively fantastic! You can hear the waves all night and day! The pool and outdoor areas are very nice and relaxing. There is A/C; however, the bathroom is a wet room, with the shower and vent keeping the bathroom a little damp. The shower view can't be beat, as the glass wall of the shower allows a view through the room directly to the Carribean. It's a true Mexico immersion vacation spot!

I liked the location and the facility is managed well. The pump went out that moves all the water throughout the property and they had it replaced within 1.5 hrs. This was not a simple task you are on a island with limited resources so 1.5 hrs is impeccable.

Room service is always great! Pool was fabulous. Perfect location. I’ve stayed here for 5-6 years now? Can’t wait to book for next year!

We stayed 4/27 to 5/2.Staff didn't explain pool hours or provide wifi information. Day 1, toilet handle didn't work. We had to put in a work order to fix it. .Monday we didn't have any hot water. We let staff know early in the morning. We came back in the evening, still no hot water. We let staff know, gentleman said nothing he can't do anything as its late in evening. Next morning, still cool water when we showered.. Staff said it was fixed, you have to let water run awhile to get hot water. Every day after, you have to let water run awhile before you get hot water. They didn't offer to change our room because it was an issue with all rooms.. Overall, the location is great, the view is beautiful. The pool area is clean but the pool skimmer not great. Many bugs in the pool.. I dont think we'll stay again with all the issues we experienced. Day 2, 3

Beautiful place! Wish they didn’t change towels every day. Floors are very slick in the rooms so be careful in your bare feet. Front desk gals seemed a little bored with everything. Awesome location 3 blocks uphill from the ferry. Hot and cold filtered water was also a plus.

The view from the rooms is amazing! It is minimalist but you’re there for the beach anyways. We had 2 rooms next to each other and not all rooms have a hammock. There is no elevator fyi.. we had grandma and she did ok but it was hard. This place is directly on the water, but there is no water access. AC worked amazingly as well as the hot water and toilets, in Mexico I call that a win!

There was mold all over ceiling. Mirror was so rusted you couldnt see reflection. Stains on bed sheets and hair.

Clean rooms! Our requests were fulfilled and great staff!!! The view was spectacular. Very clean hotel. Door knob needs replaced and should consider moving air conditioner so it blows into main living space instead of straight toward bathroom. The view was breathtaking and very good location to all the shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!!!

The room was stinky when we checked in the bathroom room door was not completely closing. We bought our own room perfume and used it all 4 days. The location and Beachfront are the top points.

The best parts of this hotel are the proximity to everything fun and food. The very best part is the view and the sound of the ocean right off the balcony. Absolutely wonderful. Problem is the room was: 1) unclean 2) limited towels and face cloths 3) internet didn’t work in room at all 4) tv was broken 5) safe was easily removed , just by lifting it out of the storage cupboard. It wasn’t attached to anything. Loved the cat and proximity to ferry.

Loved everything about this place. Have gone here many times and plan to return many more. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff were perfect and were nice.

We enjoyed the view. Nothing else. Room and property was dirty. Front desk staff gave no information on the property. Here is the key. Room 10. That is it. Dod not feel welcome. Never saw any hotel staff. Pool furniture broken. Mold in room everywhere including the air conditioner. Door to balcony very hard to open. Lights did not work. Will never recommend.

They were doing construction, 1 day a man was standing on a ladder directly in front of my door and we almost ran into him and he said nothing the following day I was woken up by banging that sounded like it was in the room next to me and above me this went on for over 30 minutes before we just left the hotel for the day. The bedding had black fuz like particles throughout the sheets and they were present after each cleaning.

The room is very spacious and had a huge balcony with an amazing, stunning, breathtaking views of the ocean!! Room was dated but very clean! It didn't matter because it's the million dollar views that count!!!

My 2nd time staying here Was a lil noisy during the afternoon but think cuz there remodeling so no biggy stil was quiet at night. Can’t wait to stay here again

The pictures of the room I chose was not what the room looked like. The Tv was smaller than a microwave but not in the pictures of the room I purchased. The WiFi did not work. Otherwise the view and sounds of the ocean was tranquil.

The location is great with a nice view of the sea, although we looked at it over a flat roof. The room was disappointing, not as modern as it looks in the photos. It’s very dated and scruffy, there was damp on our wall. The shower was not good and was cold throughout our stay despite telling reception staff. A chair would have been nice and 2 bedside tables instead of one. There was a fridge which was a bonus, use of the swimming pool was nice on our last day and we loved the resident cat.

Staff were very nice. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean. Bathroom was somewhat different with having to step into shower area. Very open. Shower did not have any curtain that i can recall but think it was meant to be like that. We were on first floor close to check in desk and it was somewhat noisey at times. Beautiful view of the beach. They had nice sitting areas on the property and there was a walkway to walk along the beach.

They dont guarantee Wi-Fi in the rooms even though the description says they have it. The room was old and door handle to room looked like it would fall off. The toilet didnt flush correctly we had to fill the garbage can with water to flush. Some of the reception people were nice others not so much.

The the view is awesome. I love the hammock on the balcony. The room is very basic, with no extras or room service but clean. The room is cleaned daily. It has a mini fridge. The AC is very cold. Bring warm jammies. It's a quiet hotel but you will hear vehicles passing by through the bathroom window. Keep the door closed. 2nd time staying here. I travel solo and I felt very safe.

excellent location , walkable right on malecon. walk to playa norte ( although with beach chairs seemed long walk). sound of crashing waves from water was beautiful. hotel did run out of water one afternoon but was restored within few hours. also strange leak in bathroom, once reported was fixed. very comfortable beds, nice balcony. basic tv which could not watch in english ( but not there for the tv!) cold mini fridge. easy walk from ferry too!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Rocamar. Great location near Centro with its shopping and restaurants. A short walk to Playa Centro and Playa Norte. Our room had a sea view with a good size balcony. Enjoyed listening to the waves crashing every evening. Check in and out were efficient and friendly. Room is basic but clean. AC worked well, beds were comfortable and the water pressure was good. Only complaint was that the bathroom curtain needed to be washed.

The only thing that was good about this properties. It was right on the ocean. The staff was completely unfriendly… The lobby was completely dirty. I woke up in the middle of the night to get some water and there is a homeless person sleeping on the sofa in the Front entryway.

Reservamos una habitación doble con vistas al mar. Esa ha sido al mejor parte de la experiencia, está muy cerca del mar y dormir con el sonido del las olas es muy agradable. La cama también era grande y cómoda. Con respecto al estado de la habitación… es mejorable. La TV es una cosa viejísima pequeña detrás de un vidrio, inutilizable. La luz principal se la habitación no funcionaba, había muchas luces pequeñitas con interruptores por todas partes. El armario cierra regular. La puerta del baño choca contra el WC y hay que hacer un poco de tetris para entrar. No hay wifi en la habitación. Pero definitivamente lo peor de la experiencia ha sido el trato con el personal del hotel. Me han parecido groseros e ineficientes. Como he explicado antes, no había wifi en la habitación, y para nosotros era importante porque la red móvil funcionaba mal y desgraciadamente hubo tormenta cada día, así que pasamos mucho tiempo en la habitación. Le comentamos este problema a un hombre de la recepción y los dijo “Se lo comunico a un servicio externo que gestiona la red” y tal y como lo decía ya sabíamos que el problema no se iba a resolver nunca. Esta persona no se hacía cargo del problema, echándole la culpa a una empresa externa. Es como si mi tarjeta no funciona y digo “Ah, es culpa de Visa”. Es tu servicio, tú eres responsable. En un momento dado nos dijo “No tenemos ninguna obligación de daros wifi en la habitación”. Tiene razón, ni nosotros tenemos obligación de dejar una buena review.

Staff was great!

Location is great. I asked for early checkin concierge told me to come back in an hour which would have been 2:00. Came back at 3:15 (checkin is at 3) and my room was not cleaned. Didn’t get my room until almost 4. Bathroom moldy. Pool and ground safe very pretty. Great little breakfast place down the street.

Amazing view of the Ocean from 2nd floor balcony. Would stay here again next time. Only 3 blocks from the Maritime Terminal once you get off the Ultrima Ferry.

This hotel feels clean and safe. Stay here for the view. There isn’t a better one. Close to the ferry terminal and Main Street. No bar or restaurant on-site. There are many near-by, but they advertised breakfast like there’s a bar and restaurant there, but there is not.

The location of the hotel is great - close to the ferry and close to restaurants without being too noisy from the traffic or the crowds. We had a room with a balcony that faced the ocean and it was very private and quiet.

my balcony was right over the ocean with the crashing surf and the incredible night sky. there's almost no light pollution on that spot of the island so I had a birds eye view to some of the best dark sky viewing anywhere on Isla. Great location - i love that it's such an easy walk from getting off the ferry, right on the malecon/boardwalk, and in the heart of Playa Norte near all the shops and restaurants.

L’emplacement de l’hôtel est excellent: bord de la mer, près de tout, mais calme aussi. Le personnel est sympathique. Tout fonctionne bien dans la chambre.

Beautiful spot with the sound of the waves crashing on shore . Simple clean modern interior. Nice pool. I did miss having an elevator climbing to third floor- but the views are amazing. One negative- you get one key - and the wind rattles the door ( enough to disturb a light sleeper). There’s great restaurants, shops , grocery store- everything is nearby and yet you’re away from the really busy area. Stayed for a girls trip - felt super safe & comfortable.

We weren’t able to check in even a minute earlier but we were able to store our luggage until 3pm. Quiet pool area and lounge area with the friendliest hotel cat 🐈 Very convenient location on the wave 🌊 side of the island near the ferry, restaurants, bars, shopping among other awesome stuff! I’d come back!
