It is a hotel that is very much a "you get what you pay for". The staff was friendly, so no complaints there. Because the hotel is (probably) around a hundred years old, modern upgrades aren't possible. The rooms are small, but the bathrooms are even smaller! If you are 250 pounds or more, then I cannot recommend this hotel as trying to use the toilet would be awkward. There is also no elevator, so be prepared to lug your bags up and down the stairs! The A/C works well and is much needed on summer days. The Wi-Fi works well too. The hotel location is great though and near a couple of Metro stations on Saint Catherine.

The place was okay, I didn’t really like how old the place and room was. It’s not that clean but it does the job. I wouldn’t go back stay again second time. I couldn’t even sleep because the room didn’t feel that good

Poor breakfast. Bad territory. Lgbt street. Only good thing was staff and close to metro. Very noisy. Thin walls.

Stayed 5 nights

The clean room had high ceilings, a private bathroom, a small fridge and cable TV. The linens on the bed and the towels in the bathroom were scrupulously clean. The window featured blackout curtains. The room was cleaned daily. The check-in was pleasant. The stay included continental breakfast, which featured up to two choices of bread for toast, croissants daily, up to three choices of muffins, good coffee, two choices of tea, real cream and tasty strawberry jam. There was free wifi, and the staff of this family-run hotel were kind and accomodating. They loaned me a phone charger when mine failed, and supplied cutlery when I needed some. Check-out was also pleasant, and I would not hesitate to return.
