First of all, the check-in process was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. The line was constantly long because it seemed to take nearly 45 minutes per guest just to complete check-in and that’s only if everything went smoothly. My own check-in experience was terrible. Before arriving, I had already added a credit card to the reservation, but for some reason they refused to use it and instead demanded cash. When I offered the equivalent amount in USD based on our reservation total, they still refused it. Our booking was 385 CAD, which converts to roughly 281 USD, but they insisted on charging 385 USD instead — over 500 CAD. There was no way I was agreeing to that. I then had to contact the booking agency to update the reservation into my travel partner’s name so we could use their card. After that, we had to stand in the long check-in line for a third time. During the process, they also seemed confused about the booking platform, asking if we booked through Expedia when we had actually booked through Hotels.com. On top of that, they requested an additional security deposit that was never clearly disclosed beforehand. At that point, after spending well over an hour dealing with check-in, I just paid it so we could finally get to the room. The room itself was modest and bordering on shabby. It also lacked amenities that were shown in the listing photos, including a fridge and a larger TV. Even the elevators were bad, skip this one or you will regret it!!
