Great parking, update rooms. Miss the hot tub. Could have better variety of breakfast food but can’t complain too much. Can hear other clientele slamming their room doors at all hours of the night and can hear the traffic go by all night by the highway.

Asked if I used the hotel to airport shuttle service in this review. Didn’t even know they offered that. Pool had dirty towels laying out, no towels in the clean rack, didn’t appear cleaned or maintained. Was looking forward to using it but saw the life saving bouy rings, taken off the wall by someone else, had been floating in the pool for the whole three days/2 nights we were there, on top of the dirty towels everywhere, so didn’t even bother. Gym had weights sitting out on the floor everywhere from a previous customer who enjoyed the gym and no way to clean equipments. Only one towel in the clean rack in the gym. Waited a while for front desk service at times, sometimes due to them standing outside smoking or talking with their coworkers, but once I got service it was ok. Breakfast had good variety but would like more hot foods offered.

Smart TV in room but couldn’t connect to streaming services despite creating a Samsung account. Calls to front desk, housekeeping etc resulted in automatic busy signal. Calls to hotel from personal phone also just had a busy signal for more than an hour. Stopped down at front desk and was told streaming wasn’t available and guests could only watch a handful of channels on live tv. (Judge Judy, anyone?). 75% of parking lot was cordoned off for a paving project so it was fortunate there was an adjacent shopping center to park in.

Staff was rude and not friendly at all. Building under remodeling. No pool access.

Property was under construction/renovation. So some parts look so so. Room was clean and proper. Breakfast was average. Gym was not great, as treadmill did not work and no sanitizing method.

The room and included breakfast were great. However, the two elevators had issues the entire stay with very little communication about when or if those issues would be fixed. We were on the 4th floor, so it mattered.

the pool didn’t work

Our room was fairly clean but there was some purple glitter on the tables and a hook was broken. The pool area was messy with wet towels and eyelashes on the deck, and hair in the pool. The front deck clerk was very friendly and helpful though. Unfortunately my daughter and I had food poisoning from the sausage at breakfast—no one else in the family had the sausage.

Breakfast was good and up kept. Plenty of parking and felt safe at night. Stores are close by for walking distance.

The only reason for reducing a start was the workout room and pool are tiny. You can't swim even a tiny lap.

Checked in and room had roaches in first ( minutes counted 5 went to desk and they did give me a roach free room upstairs.

I booked this hotel so we could relax after we drove to Chicago for the day. I don't have a lot of money so of course I need one thats budget friendly but just because its budget friendly DOES NOT mean it should be run down and NASTY. Immediately upon walking in the front door was creaking like it needs some wd40 and that was my sign it wasn't going to be good. I checked in got my key to my room and when I got to my room I did an inspection as I always do when I stay in a hotel and upon my inspection I found a bed bug smushed and stuck to the bedding. Now I have a thing for clean sheets and that right there for ONE tells me they didnt bother changing the bedding or I wouldn't have found that and for two DO SOMETHING about bed bugs shut down and get it treated instead of just letting people sleep with that and risk taking it home. I took a picture of the evidence marched it up to the front desk and said we are not staying and instead of relaxing a bit I had to get back in my car and continue driving into the night to come back home. RIDICULOUS. I showed them the evidence but are they going to get pest control in and start treating?? trying to prevent?? Probably not. If i was a hotel owner id be ashamed people are spending hundreds of dollars even with their small children to stay in nasty....

Room was extremely dirty. Noise level outside being next to the main road was ridiculous. Overall cleanliness was below average. Bed was broken and tilted three or four inches backwards. TV wouldn't work. Awful experience

Within the first 5 minutes of being in my room I saw a roach.

We were supposed to stay 3 nights and had to leave after the first. We got in late and just crashed. We had roaches in our bathroom and the coffee maker was full of bugs. Gross!

Hotel was fine but it’s old and the room was dirty in that there were still smudges on the walls and the carpet and furniture is old. The hotel smelled bad when you walk in and the halls smelled

Suite was clean and ready for us. This is the second time staying here. We will stay again.

Property needs make over, lobby & room smelled and look worn, broken furniture, stained carpet etc. Location is why we stayed convenient off express way and located across from mall and restaurants

The facility lobby and breakfast area are under construction and unsightly. This is temporary though. Noisy street might keep light sleepers up at night. The desk lady was very sick at our check in 12/27 around 7 pm. She wore a mask but I felt bad for her having to work sick, she could barely talk. Also not good for a customer service. Otherwise, decent shopping around the area and good cinnamon rolls at breakfast.

The hotel just needs updating. After seeing a few negative reviews I was not going to stay at this hotel but it was the closest for a concert we were seeing. It wasn’t as bad as some recent reviews but it just needs some updating.

This hotel is very comfortable, spacious, and nice—like a complete package, and it exceeded my expectations. I really like this hotel. Transportation to downtown Chicago is also very easy from here. The key is to avoid Forest Park Station; instead, take the line toward the airport first. It’s a bit of a detour, but much more comfortable.

My room was on the street side and noisy because of the trucks and traffic.

The Wi-Fi did not work in our room the elevator was broken and not that I needed it but the telephone in the room did not work so I couldn't even call down to the front desk other than that to be honest it's so beautiful hotel

Terrible experience! No internet, no blow dryer, and no one would pick up the phone at the front desk. I called corporate while at the hotel and they also couldn’t reach the front desk. When I went downstairs, the lady acted annoyed that I was asking about WiFi or internet. She said this hotel does t have it. Don’t stay!

Waited in the lobby for 35 minutes to check into our room. No one was at the counter to help us. Another couple was also waiting. A sign was taped up stating they are helping another guest and will return shortly. Tried to call to get someone’s attention as well. The guy that works here finally showed up. He came in through the front door with food and acted shocked that their was a line of people waiting…. Then he disappeared again… this is the SECOND stay in the last 1.5 months where this has been an issue!!! We will not be staying a third time either!

I JUST STAYED HERE EASTER WEEKEND AND ALL WENT WELL UNTILL I NOTICED THE STAFF DID NOT SEND MY RECEIPT AND I WAS DOUBLE CHARGED FOR THAT FRIDAY NIGHT THE PHONE NUMBER I’m CALLING RINGS TWICE AND HANGS RIGHT UP THIS IS RIDICULOUS I NEED MY MONEY

Overall the hotel was good. The room was clean however the hallways/elevator was never swept during our 4 day stay. Additionally, breakfast was only available once during the 4 days. Reception staff were unfriendly and rude when asked about breakfast. I would recommend finding a different hotel if one is avaliable.

No one came to desk for several minutes and when they did they did not greet me and were rude the whole check-in. The hotel lobby area was in complete disrepair and the check-out staff was also rude. Would definitely not stay again at this location.

The location was very convenient

It was conveniently located about 10-15 minutes from downtown Chicago for our visit. There are alot of shopping and restaurants near by. The room was clean and comfortable, only odd thing was there wasn’t a phone in the room to call the front desk.

Close to the interstate, plenty of parking, lots of restaurants and stores in walking distance.

Bed was very comfortable. In order to get room serviced you must request it. Housekeeping staff was quick and friendly. Breakfast was ok. Pork sausage every day. No bacon.

We experienced a really good stay. The hotel rooms could use some updating. The hallways definitely could use some paint and vacuuming. However, the room was clean and comfortable. The fan on the heater was quite noisy, so we just turned it off. The breakfast was AMAZING and so was the staff. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance. It was a good choice for us!

My overall rating would be a 9/10. Please do know part of the inside is under construction, which didn’t bother me. -room was nice and spacious, and very clean. -ladies serving breakfast are very attentive! - Ross, target, ihop, Panda Express, and more right in front! -about 20 minutes from downtown w/o traffic -one night, there was people in the hallway being loud around 2am

Convenient location. We had to change from the first room offered because the air unit had an irritating rattle and loud. Second room was clean and quiet. Bed way too soft. They are remodeling so elevators and lounge area not the cleanest. Breakfast had limited selections compare to other Holiday Inn Expresses.

There was not as much variety for the breakfast compared to other Holiday Inn's I have stayed at.
