I liked the "retro" vibe of the 2400 Motel, the buildings, painted picnic tables, etc. The staff was nice and it was great that they are there 24/7. The parking spots were super convenient. No having to deal with elevators or even stairs! Still some things could be better, even at that "low medium" price point. As others have noted, some of the rooms need minor repairs. Small stuff. But what would help most, in my opinion, would be some type of complimentary breakfast, even if small. A quick fix might be free coffee and juice and sweet rolls (or something like that) in the office. Especially considering there are not a lot of -- if any -- breakfast-y places within walking distance. Still, I pretty much liked staying at 2400 Motel

Pros: No stairs, dedicated parking,clean rooms, 24 hour check in. Friendly staff. Cons: No air-conditioning, fans only. The closet still had vintage carpets that had an odor, we were unable to put our cloths in it. Tiny countertop ice maker in the lobby for ice. We would stay here again. The property is very well maintained and clean. We stayed in the smallest room which did not have a mini fridge ir microwave. Next time we will stay in Bachelor style room that comes with those. Fun local history as the motel has been used in several tv and movies as a filming location. Each room has its own internet router. Adequate for internet surfing.

Exceptional for the price. Cleanliness surpassed many I have stayed in. Friendly and helpful staff. Cabins are a great size. While there was a kettle, a toaster and coffee maker would have been the cherry on the cake. Walkable to coffee, groceries, and restaurants. Would stay again.

This is an older motel, but was keep up well. The area where it is located is an older, busy part of town. The room was nice. It didn't have a micro wave, nor was there any ice to for found. We needed a night to stay before boarding our alaskan cruise and this place worked for us.

The strong smell of mold/mildew was terrible. The carpets in the room were probably the original 1960s carpet. We could not get over the smell, had the fans going, windows were barely usable, could easily be broken into. For $140 a night, this was far worst than staying at a motel 6. We have young kids and they immediately commented on the smelly room and wanted to sleep in our car instead of the room. I didn’t even let my dog walk on the floor in the room because I was disgusted with the carpet. The only thing new was the bathtub, but the ventilation of the room is so poor, everything reeked of mildew.

The rooms were clean, excellent location, friendly staff. Great value for your money, just note this is not a new hotel and you will see things that you won't in a modern hotel. That said we got a kettle with instant coffee and tea for the morning wifi and the beds were comfortable. This is what we were looking for

What a nice place. Our suite, Room 277, was spotlessly clean. It was very quiet and cozy for our Christmas stay. Well laid out for two couples, although we were only one. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are dozens of restaurants within a few minute walk. We will be returning!

I stayed at 2400 motel for a night with my children yesterday, and it was the worst experience in my life. When I was about to go to bed at night, I saw a RAT passing by from the kitchen to the bedroom area. I was so frightened that I couldn’t fall asleep, and a few minutes later, I saw it again. Another freaking thing was that, I heard a homeless person leaning on next to our room’s window, and he roared with an weird sounds around 3am. I was almost about to call 911 since my two boys are sleeping, and definitely I had to stay up all night. And there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom. Can’t believe I reserved this kind of terrible motel.

I filled out the form from hotels asking about how the check in went and then shared that the cable tc was not working. Within an hour a front desk clerk called the hotel room phone and asked if they can come over to fix it. They came over but was not able to fix it. I was told that it would be fixed in the morning and when I came back to the room later that night it was still not fixed. I called the manager five days after my stay and he worked out a discount for the inconvenience of not having a functioning tv. They were available to help but the tv issue needed more reminders. The carpet was dirty and restoom was dusty from cobwebs but the room gave my dog and I a safe place to stay and there was a neat garden right outside of our room and a seat to lounge outside.

This property is very old and is in serious need of updating. There are bed bugs, no AC, the kitchenette is deplorable (I wish I could attach pictures). The smell of mold and mildew in the room. We had to leave and find another hotel. This place is seriously over priced.

This is a very low-budget motel. While our room was spotlessly clean and quiet, the motel’s exterior is very run down. Landscaping needs some work and everything is just very old. Our bathroom was recently renovated and was very clean, as was the room. The bed was actually very comfortable! The staff members were also pleasant during our stay. While this motel is convenient and affordable, I wouldn’t stay here again due to how run down the property was.

Our room was very close to a main road so was very noisy making it nearly impossible to get a good sleep. The staff tried their best to move us but it was very busy and they were full. I would stay here again but only if I could choose a room in a quieter location.

Let's start by saying that it's perfectly fine - it's not fancy but it's also not nearly as expensive as other options. Don't expect 4 stars, as you shouldn't. It's old, but it's got a clean room, clean bed, clean bathroom. My unit had a kitchenette in it which was also very convenient. I definitely feel like the management is banking on the charm and history (it's used to film a lot of things) to justify not updating the units. There is a lot of peeling paint, older fixtures, and some stains. Not dirty, just needs to be updated. The shower is rather small, and the water doesn't get super warm for some reason. The biggest drawback is that there is absolutely no AC. Which is probably fine during colder months but even with the overhead fan on I was sweating most of the day. You can open the window, but there's no screen so you risk both bugs and intruders. The staff is super friendly, responsive, and attentive. Overall, I'd say it's a great spot for the money if you're just looking for a clean place to sleep and shower, and don't need any frills. I would probably be concerned about no AC during the summer months.

We planned to stay here for 3 nights. We ended up only staying for 1 night though, due to the room not working out for our small children (no bathtub, the beds were not attached to the wall.. small things like that). I wanted to leave a review because despite our stay not working out to our liking, the customer service was excellent. Staff and management was very understanding and patient, and offered us options of different rooms that would fit our needs better. In the end when we opted to switch to a different hotel, we had no problems getting a refund even though we had prepaid through expedia.

What a nice place. Our suite, Room 277, was spotlessly clean. It was very quiet and cozy for our Christmas stay. Well laid out for two couples, although we were only one. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are dozens of restaurants within a few minute walk. We will be returning!

The location & motel staff was great. Guest next door was smoking weed every night and smell comes through... Sadly, The motel charged me for damage from previous guest. Hopefully it is just an unfortunate event instead of how they charge all tourist "extra"

You have to turn on tap and wait at least 2 mins for hot water for shower. Absolutely no hot water at sink. Perhaps I didn't wait long enough. Although I was tired of wasting water. Doorbell on office door does not work. I locked myself out at 6 am and it took 30 mins to get a hold of the person as bell was not working. something employee told me afterwards. No air conditioning!! $250 a night for no AC??? The place was clean and staff was friendly. I chose this place because of the accessible parking and proximity to where I had to go. They advertise being energy efficient on there office window so perhaps fix the hot water situation. I gave up on waiting the first day and had a cold shower then scorched part way through. Once again staff was awesome though.

The hotel was clean and comfortable for the most part. The lack of AC and no screens on the windows got the room pretty hot at night. There isn't much to do in the immediate area, but is a short drive/cab ride to more lively areas. We felt safe the entire time.

It is an old style motel on spreading park like setting, right on busy Kingsway. It is clean, comfortable and partiality renowned. Easy access to downtown, bus, all sorts of restaurants around. Excellent sushi restaurant right across the street. The outside area has picnic tables. The rooms are cooled with a fan, there is no AC, but even it was a hot July day, the sleeping temperature was fine. I would definitely come back if I needed relatively central, affordable accommodation.

Our room was very close to a main road so was very noisy making it nearly impossible to get a good sleep. The staff tried their best to move us but it was very busy and they were full. I would stay here again but only if I could choose a room in a quieter location.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The motel's been around since before Mose's voice cracked, and it is budget minded, so I got what I paid for. The bungalows make me think of lathe and plaster, and asbestos; the materials from a different world and time. I used to stay at the Patricia, for concerts and stuff, 2400 felt safer that that place to me. There were poor people and shady types in the area, but the area itself is a lower-income area, if not nearly as depressed as E. Hastings; and while there isn't a crazy amount of things right on the same block, there are interesting restaurants and shops just a few blocks away, in both directions. The 19 bus is right there to take me to Metrotown or downtown too. It is a quiet, private place to haunt when I'm in town. There are no mints on the pillows or free coffee, but I'll stay there again anyway, and gladly.

I liked the "retro" vibe of the 2400 Motel, the buildings, painted picnic tables, etc. The staff was nice and it was great that they are there 24/7. The parking spots were super convenient. No having to deal with elevators or even stairs! Still some things could be better, even at that "low medium" price point. As others have noted, some of the rooms need minor repairs. Small stuff. But what would help most, in my opinion, would be some type of complimentary breakfast, even if small. A quick fix might be free coffee and juice and sweet rolls (or something like that) in the office. Especially considering there are not a lot of -- if any -- breakfast-y places within walking distance. Still, I pretty much liked staying at 2400 Motel

Pros: No stairs, dedicated parking,clean rooms, 24 hour check in. Friendly staff. Cons: No air-conditioning, fans only. The closet still had vintage carpets that had an odor, we were unable to put our cloths in it. Tiny countertop ice maker in the lobby for ice. We would stay here again. The property is very well maintained and clean. We stayed in the smallest room which did not have a mini fridge ir microwave. Next time we will stay in Bachelor style room that comes with those. Fun local history as the motel has been used in several tv and movies as a filming location. Each room has its own internet router. Adequate for internet surfing.

That’s a perfect one night place to stay. It has a two separate room with bed which gives you more privacy to do change. Two make up vanity desks with chair that allows you to get ready for your parties. I wish it has a small fridge but not a big deal at all.

Super convenient. Nice property. We'll situated, bunch of restaurants, grocery and pretty much everything near by. The price is cheap and the place is nice. I love it. I'll be staying there most of the time I'll be in Van City.

Exceptional for the price. Cleanliness surpassed many I have stayed in. Friendly and helpful staff. Cabins are a great size. While there was a kettle, a toaster and coffee maker would have been the cherry on the cake. Walkable to coffee, groceries, and restaurants. Would stay again.

This is an older motel, but was keep up well. The area where it is located is an older, busy part of town. The room was nice. It didn't have a micro wave, nor was there any ice to for found. We needed a night to stay before boarding our alaskan cruise and this place worked for us.

Let's start by saying that it's perfectly fine - it's not fancy but it's also not nearly as expensive as other options. Don't expect 4 stars, as you shouldn't. It's old, but it's got a clean room, clean bed, clean bathroom. My unit had a kitchenette in it which was also very convenient. I definitely feel like the management is banking on the charm and history (it's used to film a lot of things) to justify not updating the units. There is a lot of peeling paint, older fixtures, and some stains. Not dirty, just needs to be updated. The shower is rather small, and the water doesn't get super warm for some reason. The biggest drawback is that there is absolutely no AC. Which is probably fine during colder months but even with the overhead fan on I was sweating most of the day. You can open the window, but there's no screen so you risk both bugs and intruders. The staff is super friendly, responsive, and attentive. Overall, I'd say it's a great spot for the money if you're just looking for a clean place to sleep and shower, and don't need any frills. I would probably be concerned about no AC during the summer months.

This motel is one of those locations you reserve for a bucket list if, say, you are a superfan of certain tv shows like the X Files or Supernatural. The place turns out to be a location shoot hot spot for its distinct run down motel qualities. I am one of those fans, so when we needed an inexpensive last minute booking in Vancouver, the location shoot allure was part of the pitch that sold it. Our room was clean but small, no a/c, but the weather in September made this irrelevant. Amenities were bare bones, but we had places to be so we weren’t hanging out in the room all day. The lock on the door was a little too worn for my liking and, unfortunately for us, the neighboring room had a resident who had company after hours and who had a dog that occasionally barked. Still, the owner responded with harsh loudness—“shut the f**k up!” more times than we heard the poor dog bark. The worn door and the need to keep a window cracked for ventilation didn’t help to keep out the bitter neighbor noises. But the bed was firm and comfortable. Towels were changed regularly. Each room has a parking space, the place has WiFi, and it’s otherwise in a quiet neighborhood. It was a decent enough stay when considering the cost.
