Old Colonial, Weston-Super-Mare by Marston's Inns

The room was very spacious and well appointed. We didn't pay for a sea view but were kindly given one. The breakfast was very tasty and well presented. There was a good choice on the menu in the bar but we didn't have dinner in the pub. Other guests said the Sunday lunch was of good quality. The negatives were that the shower was very old and poorly maintained. The water dribbled out of the shower. Hence as we were only staying for 2nights we had no shower, although my husband had a part wash on the first night. We couldn't have a bath as there was no plug. The walls were also not soundproofed between all rooms, so guests could hear noises and conversations of others All staff were friendly.

The room was very clean and large. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is available by entering the Melrose Car Park. Although they have limited places available we did not experience any issues finding a space. The food was excellent. We had a sea view with some amazing views over the beach and the Sun Sets are simply breathtaking from the room. The shower could do with a little more pressure but OK. Bathroom was clean and spacious.

Locatiom great, room size great and staff great

Parking fine, room basic, bathroom - shower poorly situated over wring end of bath with low water pressure. OK for a night, overpriced at £125per night that's for sure

Really good location on the main beach road. Adequate free parking in a car park next to the hotel. Part of a pub that did evening food and brealfast from 8am.
