The hosts at number one show just how running a Hotel/Guest House should be done. The friendly personal service, the standard and cleanliness of the rooms with everything being top quality throughout. (no expense spared here) Breakfast cooked to order was excellent. Parking was easy, restaurants close by and a very quiet location, so if you are visiting the Blackpool/ Lytham St. Annes area this must be the very best accommodation. We are quite a "picky" couple but just cannot fault number one. Definitely one for the discerning!

We chose Number One Hotel as our “night away” instead of the usual town centre selections. We were totally amazed by everything this beautiful place had to offer. From the warm welcome, the tour of the room, the standard of the room and its facilities to the amazing breakfast provision. Will totally choose Number One Hotel as our place to go again - thank you ever so much! The bedroom was so cosy, well decorated and a bed and linen to guarantee a good night sleep. The L shaped sofa and fridge allowed us to enjoy a cold drink and some DVDs from the downstairs library. The bathroom was incredible with the jet bath and built in TV making a relaxing bathtime! So so impressed by this obvious little gem of a Blackpool hotel!

Absolute gem of a hotel. I loved the location, a 5 minute stroll south from the Pleasurebeach. Staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived, room very comfortable with a touch of luxury to it. Enjoyed breakfast each morning and the bar both evenings...would definitely be my first choice if staying in Blackpool again...highly recommended

This is a fabulous hotel. From the initial check in, to all interactions, the staff were amazing. They took us to our room and explained everything, breakfast is cooked to order, bar prices are very reasonable for a hotel, room was clean and had everything (water, coffee with fresh milk available), sweets. Jacuzzi bath with TV in bathroom. Location is perfect for Pleasure beach and easy access to Lytham St. Annes (we were there for Lytham festival). Highly recommended and will return.

Amazing service from the receptionist, taking me to my room and showing me around the room. Lovely room and clean. Breakfast was amazing. You can tell that’s it’s the sister hotel to Number One St. Lukes B&B. I’d definitely come back here to stay.

Had high hopes for our stay - we\'ve looked loads of times at this property but not felt plush enough. Pros: > very warm reception > great service from Abby as well as the two co-owners > everything was very clean > breakfast food was fabulous Cons: > room was roasting hot, even with both windows wide open and the radiator firmly off - my fiancée usually runs cold but even she couldn\'t sleep in her pyjamas it was that hot. This was mid-winter so I dread to think what it\'d be like in the Summer. > times during the day when nobody seemed to be available at reception - rang the bell a couple of times about 1300 and there was no response. > when I asked if anything could be done about the heat I was told "we don\'t have air conditioning" and "all rooms are the same" - which seemed at odds with us being moved in to that room the previous night because it was \'nice and warm\'. Felt like I was being given the \'difficult guest in height of summer\' spiel but it was the middle of winter. Would have been nice to have been offered another room given they had few bookings that day > AV setup is out of date. No way of hooking up a phone (Chromecast) or Roku/Fire TV/laptop via HDMI to TV in order to watch Netflix which feels like pretty basic functionality in this day and age. I feel very conflicted about this review because the owners themselves were great - but the truth is that we paid £145/night, which is the most I\'ve ever paid in Blackpool, and didn\'t sleep well either night.

Stayed here 2 nights to relax and I definitely accomplished that. It’s quiet and peaceful with a nice view. Staff friendly and helpful. The thing I was looking most forward to was the bath and I was not disappointed. If you’re staying here probably take some water bottles. I felt bad as I had to ask 4/5 times for them to refill mine for the kettle and for drinking. No complaints really.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hotel was absolutely amazing. Room was gorgeous bed was incredibly comfortable and I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended to anyone. Staff are super freindly and charming.

I have stayed at Number One South Beach a couple of times previously, and it is my favourite spot to stay when I'm in Blackpool. A supremely comfortable 5* boutique hotel, it provides the warmest of welcomes from the fantastically friendly owner-managers (Mark, Graham and Janet) together with the highest standards of customer care...not to mention delicious breakfasts. When I was very badly let down by CCabs, a local taxi firm, having booked a car 24 hours in advance to take me to a time-specific event and it didn't turn up, Mark dropped everything he was doing to rescue me and drive me to my venue. Not many hotel owners would do that, and I shall be eternally grateful. This is a gem of a hotel that I highly recommend.

Lovely hotel, really welcoming and friendly. The location was perfect as its the quieter end of town, but a easy walk to the yram stop round the corner. Loved it and will definitely be back.
Lovely hotel, really welcoming and friendly. The location was perfect as its the quieter end of town, but a easy walk to the yram stop round the corner. Loved it and will definitely be back.

Absolute gem of a hotel. I loved the location, a 5 minute stroll south from the Pleasurebeach. Staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived, room very comfortable with a touch of luxury to it. Enjoyed breakfast each morning and the bar both evenings...would definitely be my first choice if staying in Blackpool again...highly recommended

They took us to our room and explained everything, breakfast is cooked to order, bar prices are very reasonable for a hotel, room was clean and had everything (water, coffee with fresh milk available), sweets. Jacuzzi bath with TV in bathroom. Location is perfect for Pleasure beach and easy access to Lytham St. Annes (we were there for Lytham festival). Highly recommended and will return.

The hosts at number one show just how running a Hotel/Guest House should be done. The friendly personal service, the standard and cleanliness of the rooms with everything being top quality throughout. (no expense spared here) Breakfast cooked to order was excellent. Parking was easy, restaurants close by and a very quiet location, so if you are visiting the Blackpool/ Lytham St. Annes area this must be the very best accommodation. We are quite a "picky" couple but just cannot fault number one. Definitely one for the discerning!

Amazing service from the receptionist, taking me to my room and showing me around the room. Lovely room and clean. Breakfast was amazing. You can tell that’s it’s the sister hotel to Number One St. Lukes B&B. I’d definitely come back here to stay.

We had a wonderful stay here! The owners and colleagues were welcoming and personable. Room was so comfortable, bed was marvellous. Loved the little touch in the wardrobe for things you may need, really insightful thinking of everything. Coffee in room was great, great choices, lots of milk and four cups! Nice glasses with water and a fridge in the room. Didnt get to use the bath with bubbles but the bathroom had a tv, was great. Spacious room with a sofa and a great view of the coast. Breakfast was outstanding! We will be back, thanks so much.
