The beach is very crowded. The pool area is small and is not conveniently located (on the 8th floor of building). The resort fee basically covers nothing. You still are charged for renting beach chairs, parking, etc.

Staff is nice and friendly, but the property needs to be fixed. The pool is small and no one watches the pool so it’s small and rowdy. The hot tub is on the 16th floor and the shower up there to rinse off before getting in the hot tub is broke.

It was nice to have quick access to the beach. Food and drinks from restaurants in the hotel were okay. Parking was expensive for someone staying at the hotel for 5 days ($36 self park and $40 valet daily). There were some pieces of concrete at the bottom of the pool. Not much to do within the property even if it is a resort. Duvet didn’t have a cover. Instead, it was sandwiched between two sheets. We always ended up pulling the top sheet and sleep over the duvet. Staff were nice and friendly.

The only small thing that was inconvenient was the lack of ice machines. 2 buildings with 17 floors and only 1 ice machine seems ridiculous. Everything else was great.

Well appointed rooms that were mostly clean - older bathroom fixtures that could be cleaner in my opinion. Nice to have a full kitchen and small sofa in our king room. My one issue was not heating the pool to an appropriate temperature for the weather. We were hit with some cooler days, but in that instance as people are there on vacation and my kids wanted to swim, but couldn’t as they were shivering. Also most of the pool is in the shade the whole day - seems like another reason to heat this appropriately. This seems unacceptable in my opinion. Valet was great and timely and staff was helpful.

We had a WONDERFUL stay at the Hyatt Regency. The resort was beautiful and comfortable and had great amenities. Complimentary champagne when you check in (grape juice for kids), 4 free water bottles per day, right across from ocean. The only two down sides were: one of the elevators on the south side was not working which made for LONG waits to go up and down stairs (we were on 11th, pool on 8th and rooftop hot tub on 16th, lobby on 1, parking on two LOL). The second was the pool not being heated. The first night we checked in the pool felt warm and had a great temp. The second day the pool was FREEZING. Plus the weather wasn't very nice (it wasn't the day before either) so we found no comfort in the water temperature. BUT OVERALL, we loved this resort and would definitely stay again!

Customer service is A at this property. Staff are very polite and responsive. Great location, steps from the beautiful white sand beach. We had a huge room with balcony ocean-view. Clean room, very comfortable bed. Plenty of restaurants to choose from in walking distance. We felt safe walking late at night. Great pool on the 8th floor. Free laundry was a plus. They supply bottled drinking water. Valet parking was $43 with tax per night. Resort fee was $40 with tax per night. Next time we visit, we won’t need a rental car as everything was walkable. Pricey hotel but you get what you pay for. We enjoyed our stay. We will book this hotel again. Highly recommended.

i really thought this was going to be a nice stay. Turns out the property has not been updated in 15 years. AC on our room floor was not working, smelled of urine, just like the parking structure. There was a damp smell to the main room and the AC just circulated it. For the price plus the resort fee, you still had to pay for a chair at the beach which was overun by local drunks. When you are charging $700 a night, the place should be clean. Bare minimum.

The walkway out front of the property was filthy. Dirty needs to be power washed. The landscaping along the walkway needs to be addressed again. I’m sure the Hyatt Regency can afford to do some landscaping and power washing first impressions mean a lot

For Clearwater, this hotel is nice enough especially when traveling with children. We had a terrace room on the 17th floor. Spectacular views especially during sunset. The rooms are a bit outdated. Cleanliness could be better. A cockroach came crawling out of my son’s pullout! They are still dealing with fixing some damage due to the hurricanes so our original terrace room didn’t have the trellis shade thing as pictured. They were kind enough to switch us to a different room so that we can enjoy the view with some protection from the sun. It’s really what we had come for so we had a great time just relaxing! The beach is across the street and a 1 minute walk down some steps and across the way. Cabanas can easily be rented and it can be crowded since it’s not a private beach. The staff is super kind and resourceful. If you need something they will do whatever they can to help. Pool was perfect. Fun for the the kids and adults alike. Plenty of spots to just relax and if you want to enjoy water activities, just walk about 6 minutes to the pier or marina and you’ll be on your way. We spend 4 nights and

The hotel was beautiful. The Hyatt has a great reputation of being a lovely hotel and that is why I chose it. We did experience a few problems but the staff was quick to try to get those issues resolved. Unfortunately, we did have to change rooms but overall Clearwater Beach is beautiful and we will be back.

I love the rooms and how much space they had! Would love to travel and stay there again! The only thing I did not like was we were on the 8th floor so it was a bit more smellier with humidity and felt like the carpet was very old and damp.

Housekeeping did NOT clean our room despite being out all day. Parking smells like urine. Beach rentals are extra and parking is extra. Pool small, crowded and we simply couldn't use it. The hotel is good but not great.

Close to beach. Large, but somewhat dated room. No AC in the hall or elevator. House keeping slow to respond when they failed to clean room. Housekeeping did not seak any english, which made it difficult to communicate.

We loved everything about our stay. The room was very spacious and the hotel was loaded with amenities we enjoyed daily from the gym to the pool to the hot tub. It was super easy access to the beach. The parking garage was a quick walk to the elevators that took us right to the hotel lobby. The entire area is very walkable which made it very convenient. Our only wish was a 2nd bathroom in our room but everything else was outstanding!

We booked and paid for an Ocean View room with 2 Queen beds. We received a pool view room with grossly obstructed ocean view with 2 double beds. We complained and the hotel offered us to pay more money and they would put us in a true ocean view room. Classic Bait & Switch!

Our stay was enjoyable. Only negatives were the AC in the living room area of our suite didn’t work and the mattress in the pullout sofa was awful and really uncomfortable. The furniture has not been refreshed in a long time and was stained. It’s a nice hotel but really shows its age. I would have paid the same or more at a newer hotel in the area. You don’t get much for their VERY expensive resort fee and not including beach chairs and umbrellas is ridiculous. In the future, if I go back, I would stay somewhere along the gulf with a private beach if I’m going to pay for chairs and umbrellas. The food prices are ridiculously high throughout the resort and in all the Clearwater Beach restaurants. So be prepared to pay A LOT for food. Oh and they charge you a ridiculous price to park overnight while also make money by charging the public to park in their garage to access the beach. Would have been cheaper to Uber to and from the airport. Just felt like I was getting nickel and dimed for everything. On the positive side, the staff were very nice.

We had an amazing stay at the Hyatt Clearwater. They say you get what you pay for and what we got was 5 star service throughout. We arrived 2 hours before check in and Alexandra at the reception desk greeted us with such a warm welcome and a glass of champagne. To our surprise and delight she not only checked us in early but gave us a room upgrade! The room and views of the ocean were absolutely breathtaking. We had a little maintenance concern due to the ac system by the manager responded immediately and had the matter resolved in minutes. For such a large hotel, the response time was incredible. The only bad thing I have to say about this stay is that my family has now been spoiled. It’s going to be tough on me to find another hotel in this area that can compete so I guess the next time we visit the area, we’re going to have to stay here.

The only downfall was the front desk deterred DoorDash/grubhub. If we ordered we had to collect at the front desk. Which wasn’t a huge issue, only when by myself with kids it made it a little difficult. I understand the policy ensures safety. Just a mild inconvenience. Cleaning staff was amazing!!! Other than that we did not see much staff. The elevator went down one day but there were 3 more to use. Dining options are a bit limited as far as room service. Food was good. Views are amazing! Pool and hot-tub were superb. Access to the beach was unmatched. Overall an amazing experience!

Terrible check in. First of all, elevators are confusing between garage and rooms. Went back and forth to different ones to find our way. Second, told to go to one set to access our room and when the elevator door opened, we were greeted by an employee who snapped at us (she was monitoring a wedding) and said we didn’t belong on that floor. Went back down to the lobby (with all luggage in tow) and found another employee who thankfully guided us back to that floor so we could get to our room. Then we get to our ocean view room only to discover it looked over at another hotel and down at parking. Definitely not worth the price.

Staff was amazing! Rooms are beautiful with lots of space! Pool was heated and the pool bar made excellent margaritas. When we arrived we were greeted with a glass of champagne. On a chilly Florida night they had a hot cocoa bar with a sign saying on a cooler night, someing to warm you up. Would definitely stay again. Requirement to valet park for 36$ was really our only gripe, bring back the self park!

I was very satisfied until I ordered room service from the restaurant Shor and was told that the order was received and being prepared and after 1 1/2 hour wait I went to check on my order and was told that they never received my order and then checked with the quick stop attendant who looked at the computer and gave a look that ohh I forgot to put this in and was told they have no order but I can order a sandwich or snack because the restaurant kitchen was closed, I ordered a ribeye steak, scallops and grouper nuggets for dinner not a club sandwich, was told sorry and staff just walked away, very poor service

The hotel itself is nice and the staff congenial, though the place is overpriced. This used to be a clean upscale strip in Clearwater. Not anymore. There is a trashy bar across the street with no-talent cover bands blaring obnoxious loud noise past midnight so it was impossible to get rest in this place. There were drugged up mangy scum wandering about after dark pretending to accidentally come up close behind you looking for an obvious pick-pocket. What a waste of a formerly nice property.

Staff was very friendly. The on site restaurant was very good. The room was good, I feel the mattress may have needed upgraded. The pool area was nice and they went out of their way to make sure you had water or drinks. It's a nice place.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. The two bedroom ocean view was perfect for our needs with two small children. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean and smelled nice in the lobby. Minor complaints that would have made this a 5 star experience - rooms are a bit dated. Kitchen could use more cooking utensils and plates/silverware, no real room service, housekeeping was a bit spotty. Coffee shop was a bit lacking in quality and array of offerings. Pool area was nice, rooms were quiet and everything was family friendly. Loves the poolside snacks and crafts. Easy beach access and discounted cabanas were also great.

"The hotel is beautiful, and the views are wonderful. However, the breakfast was a disappointment. We had to wait 40 minutes to get in, and it wasn’t free, even though my reservation specifically stated that it would be. We had $25 per person, and we had to pay for the rest. Additionally, valet parking costs $36 per day."

Sofa bed in the suite was so awful that we didn’t use it!!! It was just springs with a thin sheet around it!!! Staff very uninterested when mentioned in check out! The breakfast was awful! We paid in advance through hotels. Com and when we arrived at the restaurant we found that they were not doing buffet so we had to choose from the a la carte menu and it ended up costing us extra, to be this is not ‘breakfast included’ as it very much was not!!!

Since it’s off-season, the rates were great! It’s an old hotel that has that cool old & grand design & staircase, It’s been updated with modern, clean, and elegant design choices. The rooms are huge with tons of rooms with beautiful views! The breakfast room is also beautiful with great Gulf views and a fantastic breakfast buffet for only $26! Also, staff was so friendly and even called cuzzI left my toiletries bag in the parking garage and “Nick” actually went out to the garage and grabbed it for me and setup for a shipping return within 30 minutes. All around fabulous stay with nothing negative.
